@taloon ahh
I see
Well in this case. I don't have 9 I actually have 5..
Still seems a little odd though
@taloon maybe
But I return with another additional rune in life and rage
How they appear when first looked at in a new save loaded.
1 appears as already seen recognised known to the player.
The other additional in my case now 9.
5 are in my inv.
1 appeared already known.
4 appeared brand new and unseen with the blue explanation mark above them.
I don't think it's a set 3 extra as I'm going above and beyond the quantity of 3
@ubi-spud for me it has not stopped.
It occurs about 9/10 times
Meaning occasionally a dupe does not occur.
In saying that.
I now have 9 runes of life even when I equip or sell all so that none sit in my inv.
I sti end up with another regardless
I have atleast 6 rules of rage
The rest seem unaffected so far.
A complete save. Quit Inc shut-down of pc (haven't really checked if shut down or no shut down of pc makes a difference)
I just did a save quit and start again of ACV and this time I did not get a dupe.
I got myself killed and reloaded latest save.
No dupe occured.
Dupes are definitely occurring but unsure as to what frequency
@xrayspex_73 funny isn't it.
Atleast it is consistent
Should be not too difficult to diagnose
Lucky it isn't all that inconvenient.
@danceswithtramp alright well your ram is installed in series properly
Others are commenting saying they have more ram but get constant drops so I can not say for certain if for you ram is the actual reason.
I will note though that you really are maxing your ram usage, this is likely causing you to not get the performance you could be getting.
Just for your own sake since the rest of your pc is pretty decent,
Upgrade your ram
You'd want to keep your ram consistent. But that's for a further discussion.
Maybe let's wait to see if there is any common trends before having to spend some dollas
@reichsadler5829 what are your full pc specs?
@danceswithtramp
Okay.
Your issue isn't the game
Your issue is you do not have enough ram to effectively run the game and your system
What's happening is once ram usage maxes it uses some of your paging file
Your paging file is listed in your comp specs you listed above.
It represents using hard drive space as ram.
No where near as effective as actual ram..
On your computer if it's a desktop
How many ram stick slots do you have on your pc?
If you have 4 slots and 2 sticks
How are your ram sticks organised?
Are they in slot 1 and 3
Or
Are they in slot 1 and 2?
@danceswithtramp
So far the game for me is running approx 3gb ram usage.
I have 32gb ram in 4 sticks
3gb game ram,
System total ram usage 8.2gb ram.
I have programs that trim my ram usage too.
Quickly do this for me
Start your game, continue your save.
Run around for a few mins
Control alt delete
Open task manager
Check how much ram your game is using
Check how much ram your system total is using
Let me know those numbers
@danceswithtramp
What is your gpu?
Is your game install on the same drive as Windows?
How much space is remaining on your hard drive currently
You have 8gb ram correct?
Is that in 1 stick or 2?
@danceswithtramp
What are your specs for your pc?
!
So I can contribute my setup as per above post.
Version 1.02
Windows 10
Audio out via USB to Marantz HD DAC at 32 bit 192kbps
Input is via wireless xbox controller
Or
Wired usb 3.0 gaming mouse
Wireless logitech keyboard
If I never touch the mouse during play I have absolutely 0 audio drops
This is in all menu and game play locations.
Scenarios
Using xbox cont
If I put the xbox controller down (so not input)
Nudge the mouse once
Audio drop and visual stutter
If I continue to use the mouse no stutter will occur if xbox cont remains no input.
If I then leave mouse no input and press any button in cont. Identical audio drop and visual stutter
Again if no further mouse / keyboard input recieved the games audio is stable.
My reason to point this out is that if I nudge once
I get 1 stutter
If I nudge over and over again seconds apart between mouse and cont back and forth I'll get the exact number of stutters that are transitions between cont and mouse inputs.
I've seen no other occurance for audio drop outs or visual stutters.
Audio drop out is for between 200ms up to maybe 2 seconds.
Audio drop occurs before visual stutter.
Both resume generally at the same time.
Many thanks
Joseph2409!
@xrayspex_73
Thank you
I did notice when ever I accidentally nudged my mouse when using my xbone controller it caused a stutter and audio loss temp..
Didn't make any big deal about it as the game worked and it wasn't really negatively impacting me,
But your post solved the issue anyways so ive changed my settings and will live stutter free
Thanks good man!
@barbarousfr0g
Well since it's the same runes in the same scenario between multiple people that's going to make it much easier to diagnose and repair because obviously there is a direct coding error.
I'm actually glad to hear it
I think I'll just sell them each time to try attempt at keeping myself levelled properly.
It'll give me spare coin to lose on flighting
Hi there friends.
Playing Valhalla approx 12 hours game time so far,
Version 1.02
System PC windows 10
Stored on NVME samsung.
I am uncertain if I'm picking these up and I'm just not aware.
What seems to be occurring is when I save quit and come back later to continue playing, I seem to have a extra 1 of 2 different runes
Rune of life & and rune of rage.
I now have
4x rune of life (+14.9 health)
3x rune of rage (+3.2 attack)
I have a few other runes though they arnt doubled at all.
I'm not going to complain because I can sell them or stack equip them,
But at the same time I'd rather not be inflated by a glitch.
Has anyone else had similar?
I've seen no posts about rune dupes as of yet 12/11/20 5am AEST
Many thanks
Joseph2409!
