Where is the variety of equipments??
I would like to return the random equipment system like Odyssey.
I read somewhere that the argument would be to impact the player with unique items, but in Odyssey this already existed in the form of legendary sets. This does not justify removing random items!
It seemed to me to be in a hurry to launch the game soon, without much work to model large quantities of sets.
In Odyssey this was incredible, I loved collecting new looks, in addition to creating different builds according to the attributes of the items.
Today in Valhalla it comes down to just a few pieces of equipment, and the need to grind resources to improve them (boring).
I hope they bring back the variety of weapons and equipment for the game, which really causes a feeling of reward for defeating enemies, in addition to being good for the economy, as it was possible to sell these loots.
And that guaranteed many hours and gameplay.
@sinfuldantheman I agree with you.
It's just that I miss the drop sets on enemies, the variety of skins, being able to change the look of each item, collecting them.
As I mentioned, what is not procedural, would be the "legendary sets", really thought out.
In other words, it doesn't have to be 100% procedural, but extra items are needed to colect, get skins, make builds and sell to get money (the player just win with this system)
today we kill thousands of enemies and don't get a different shield ... we don't even have a one-handed sword!!
This is the reason for my request.

Yes!! And this game is focused in looting (vicking raids), no make sense!!!
We plunded monasteries and remain poor!
Its more profitable to fish (joke)
And to make matters worse, the little loot available is quite appealing, which further removes the immersion, disrespects the rarity system of RPG's and may shortens the late game.

With 150 hours in Odyssey you are already well advanced, it really doesn't make much difference. I agree with you. Just useful if want the transmogs..
But there is no such dichotomy in Valhalla of "looking for exciting gears" or "drop gears".
Ideally, BOTH things should happen at the same time like Odyssey! There were the random and the legendary (which you had to look for).
Now you behave like Indiana Jones finding overpower gears in the map, like thor set, excalibur, mjolnir, very very rare itens almost free OMG!
And you cant find normal Saxon's gears (it was very immersive and real).
You kill Saxons a lot and nothing yet...
It was amazing to defeat the cult to get a legendary gear or just defeat a stronger enemy guarding a chest to get a nice one handed sword (transmog or new atributes), it was freedom!
You cant get any one handed sword in AC Valhalla yet, its wrong!
What do you think about invade a quarter with many chest, score of enemy and not getting any armor or weapow, just materials to upgrade your same gear, each part many times?
Leather and metal you can find in nature, its more easy than enter in a war. fishing is more profitable too (joke)
Where is the realism? Vikings invaded and looted the Europe, its history!
We just invades to get material to upgrade the gears and material to creat our base (to change the mount, cut hair and others)
Think about the transmogs in Odyssey, and the capacity to change the atributes likes Efesto forge.
(Now AC is a RPG, and needs to behavior like RPG's and as a RPG, Im feeling "I miss something", Im sorry guy)

First of all, thanks to expose your opinion, I respect and undestand you!
I can see that your main problem with the game was the transition from an action game to an RPG. This is totally understanding!
I finished the entire Altair, Ezio's saga, Connor, Edward, Shay (classics).
I have a great affection for these characters and their incredible stories! I really loved.
So I understand how complicated it is when the franchise changed the style of the game.
It is like fast and furious that initially it was about clandestine races for an action movie with full explosions.
These changes really divided opinions. Needs to public likes RPG games to accept these changes and many people gave up the AC.
In Odyssey, the style of the game fully embraced the RPG system, like The Witcher for example.
But in Valhalla they seem to have been shy about it, going back with these systems adopted by the franchise.
I also agree that it is boring grind to level up to proceed in the story, its breaks...
But currently in Valhalla, we have to upgrade the equipment with materials to get stronger, in addition to gaining experience to have more power and passive skills (see that they only removed the level marker, but it is still there)
Therefore, they do not seem to have solved this by pulling out the items, but it forces us to collect material .. which is even more annoying.
Example: in Odyssey, if you were level 50, the drops used to be at your level. So the items dont seem to brake the pace of history, the leval breaks!
In Valhalla this doesn't seem to happen, you have to improve the equipment from the beginning (I may be mistaken). Its really seems to brake the pace.
I imagine that this decision is more related to time to release the game (no expending extra time working with item modeling).
If AC decided to be an open world RPG, it should behave like one. Even more after having learned in Odyssey as well as in RPG games from other companies.
If GTA decided to be a racing game, it must behave like racing games, since the old public hates...
Playing AC as a RPG, we have the feeling that "something is missing"...
Playing a immersive RPG:
We sailed in unknown waters to the enemy base, we are thirsty for blood and battle...
We left our families behind with the promise of returning victorious and full of spoils.
We killed everyone in a fort, destroying barrages, we arrived at the weapons quarter...
-OMG, its a chest! of course its may have a great loot!!
when we opened the chest, we found leather and metal!
-OMG! t's just what i wanted !!!
-Now i can improve my starting bow again!! (sarcasm)
And the period limited weapon its not a problem..
Because if you kill a enemy using armors and weapons, it means that the loot exists in the world.
For example, If you kill an archer, you can get a bow, because he was using the bow when died.
I really loved this game! its a great experience for me!
I just miss the loot of the enemy..
In this period, if you invades a castle, theoreticaly get all loots in the quarters like armos, shields, swords, axes, bows..
So, as @SinfulDanTheMan said, its really breaks the immersion.
We are only fans of the franchise and our intention is to make constructive criticisms.
To Ubisoft makes improvements that games become more and more incredible!!
Not just accept all decisions of the Ubisoft, but contribute to improve the games!
There will always be mistakes and successes when developing a game.
However, only our feedback can help walk the path.
Of course, there are different opinions for everything, but it would be nice if the Ubi reconsider implementing this system, which brought greater immersion in Odyssey to Valhalla
I really hope Ubisoft will read our comments and consider that.

I found a gold point on my map..
it was a house with many guards..
I killed all guards..
1 of the guards gave me a broken bow...
and i defeated a great guard, with no loot...
Ok.. now I finally can open my chest!!
My rewards: 55 leather and 54 metal...
its the same loot all game long... This name is GRIND!!!!
How can you like it?!?!?
If I want materials, I would be destroy the droped itens of guards or the chest to get this materials... If there has loot...
Why the guards protect an empty house?!?!
Why a stupid chest is marked as golden point in my map?!?!
Exploring is boring when you dont have rewards...
What will encourage me to search for all points on the map now? If I lost my time..

Try to understand please:
Loot in Odyssey you can sell to get money, destroy to get materials, use this gear because the stats, get the visual to transmog... it was rewardable!
You can do what you want!!
and there was legendary armors (with exclusive visual and stats, like the ACV gears)
The diference is the amount of gears and how to get material!
In Odyssey is a complete system, if you dont like to change the gear (like ACV) just upgrade the same all game long... easy...
In ACV its a empty world (see my example above please) and have no options.. just 10 equipments with useless stats when you have 400 of power... lack of visuals (or you can pay on market $$$$), lack weapons.. just explore to get material to upgrade the same gears every time...
Very boring exploration!! NO REWARDABLE!

AC (or any Ubi game) never more in pre launch...
There is a lack of equipments, the guys already listed the number of gears, for while 10...
Im sad because the major gears not seems historycal accuracy, many new gears probably will lauch by store... while there is only 10 gears inside the game! the open world seems no rewarding, the exploration is a grind to get material to improove just 10 gears...
I miss the visuals to transmog, customise the atribbutes to create new builds... selling equips to get money, ... destroy to get material (more fast and easy than explore the world to get chests with metal and leather) like Odyssey.

IMO the likes shows the people considered as a good review and probably agree (see the coments bellow the video)
Some people consider AC Valhalla almost a perfect game and may have fun with only 10 gears and probably loves/prefer to grind material in exploration to update them.
I cant agree but I respect.
As I said here, I prefer the Odyssey system, where I choose what I want to do with the random loot: sell to get money, use and change my atributtes, get the visual to transmog my powerfull legendary end game gear, destroy to get material (yes, there is material like the "greatest valhalla") to upgrade my legendary gear (its not random, legendary we need to do something important to get as defeat the cult, boss, quest and others rewardable things. Its important to see that the Odyssey legendary is the same of the actualy 10 gears in valhalla, thought equipments).
So, the Odyssey is more completed and can please all kind of people...
The point is, If you liked more the valhalla, just use the same legendary gear, destroy all random to get material and improove this..
Its more easy and fast than explore a open world to get this same material in chests. The Valhalla System was inside of the Odyssey system! The diference is the complete options of the Odyssey! Its freedom in Open World RPG! Pure Logic!!
There no reason to continue defending this actual system, because its a clearly downgrade!!!

Its may show the unsatisfaction of the general public, because if explore the world to get materials were fun, the people woundnt use cheats!I hope the Ubi fix this bug and think about rewards in chests like good equipments.
Because the hype of vikings in valhalla, I decided to watch the Viking series, its a very hystorical accurated tv series....

I liked this Einherjar gear, its a jarl gear, but we need to grind daily quest to get opal and have much luck to see all parts of this set in Reda's store... so almost impossible to get free, spending much time!
Its could be droped in "important chests" or powerfull viking enemies.
The ubi could be using the developers to create a good looting system as we pointed above, but prefers to use the same developers to create real cash itens..
So the game has a lack of equipments with many gears launched by real money... Im disapointed!
Ubi lost me, I will never buy game on pre-release, its my last time.

Explore the world to find material to upgrade our gears in Valhalla is the same that the AC2 to find all feather to get a new visual (a cape), totally boring.. the diference is the Valhalla shows the location of each chest. We try to upgrade to see the new stage of the visual (and I prefer the old of some gears, because is more realist)
its not fluid than Odyssey, droping while we defeat the enemies during the quests, and if we want to explore, there is a diferent equipment "included material inside"
