@ubi-viral This is rather unfair to say the least... I have purchased the PS4 Gold Edition on release day, logged an official support ticket with both Ubisoft and Sony and still no reply after more than 48hrs. Now 4 days after release I still can't play the PS5 version of Far Cry 6. Problem not affecting UK players only. I am located in Malta (Region 2) country, my disc is supposedly region 2 as well but no PS5 upgrade. I've been a Ubisoft customer for more that 10 years and I own a large collection of Ubisoft releases on all platforms. This is very poor customer support. I sent all relevant information (pictures of disc, covers, screen shots ect..) to customer support after spending nearly an hour on the online support chat!!! Ubisoft should have sent me at least a response or some advice. I want to install the game in a legit way and not creating a Russian account. Why don't just send us a digital download code of the ps5 version?? This situation is now getting ridiculous.
I also opened a support case on the 7th, today I was sent an insulting email.... UBISOFT said they had closed my support case, due to me not contacting them via the support case for 4 days, Ubisoft further said, they assumed the problem was now fixed.
LOL what a complete insult to the customer.. Shocking.
@josbelubi Same issue, had to make a Russian account on my UK PS5, the PS5 free update is available on the Russian psn store... Total waste of peoples time though... Hopefully they will fix it very soon.
I have exactly the same issue, reported it to customer support at around 11am UK time.
I checked my disc and it clearly has UK Pegi 18 logo and a black logo with 18+ written within it, I googled Russia video game age logos, guess what! Yes the UK disc has the Russian age verification logo, check it for yourself via Google..... UBISOFT MESSED UP.
Currently downloading the PS5 update from the Russian psn account I had to set up, no issues the update is instantly available to download, I shall play the download on my main account.
What a waste of people time...
@ubi-mark lol mark, I have a support ticket since the 7th of October AND your Twitter support team has clearly announced on the Ubisoft support feed, that there is an ongoing issue with PS4 to PS5 free upgrades.
It's not just my copy of the game.
Please contact support for an update for Everyone that is affected by the same issue.
Please post the update to the issue, rather than ushering me and others towards opening a support ticket.
Thank you.
@josbelubi that is unusual, worked for me at around 2am UK time on the 8th, the game has now downloaded to my PS5, I have not yet had a chance to test it.
Perhaps Ubisoft are working on the fix, perhaps part of the fix is that the UK disc is seen differently now, from the Russian version..... But what a waste of peoples time.
@ubisushivamp sadly it is not resolved, I still need the UK upgrade to PS5, or in the future, I cannot use my UK DLC with the Russian version.
I cannot understand how this exact same issue that happened with Valhalla and WD Legions, last year!
This is not fixed, let's hope it does not take two weeks to fix, like the last two times.
How Ubisoft can allow this to happen every time is insulting.
@markaccus it is around 82gb download size, took around 3 hours for my download, we have 92mb Internet broadband.

Hey guys, thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear about the problem you ran into.
If you have a physical disc, try going to the product page (make sure your disc is inserted) and then instead of clicking the "...", click on the disc symbol on the left hand-side, which should then give you the option to upgrade to PS5 version of the game.
Keep us updated!
You're not listening to what's being said. There is NO option to upgrade. I have the same issue. This is because the disc is Russian region locked. The only way round is to create a fake Russian account but if you do this the save file will not work with any dlc from the UK store.
I'm the original poster, I did read somewhere that if you go to manage content on the Russian download and set the language to US English, the DLC and save will be compatible with the UK DLC, but I have not yet tested this, but I shall tomorrow.

If anyone has bought the UK PS4 disc of Far Cry 6 for their PS5, you might find you cannot access the free update to the PS5 version, this is too do with some UK PS4 discs also been same as the Russian version of the disc, if you check your disc and it has the Pegi 18 and a black box with "18+" that black box is the Russian age certificate.... I bought my disc direct from a UK online store.... So there is a work around, you need to setup a Russian PSN account (easy to do) then download the PS5 Far cry 6 full game via the Russian account, then you can switch back to your UK account and play the downloaded PS5 version...... Crazy really! What a waste of peoples time.
