Its been along time coming, but it appears that I can now fish, since the last update, well so far.
Will report back if not, but surely this is proof as it has not able to for months may be even years. 2 have just disappeared.

@kbl007 Have discovered I can fish in Vinland. Will be interesting to see if can now do in England Ireland.

@kbl007 Still cant use fishing line though.

Just to let you know, I have now completed the 'catch eels with Ceolbert' part.
After the update thought would try again.
Numerous attempts proved futile, until I decided to go around pond randomly hacking with axe.

Fingers crossed no more glitchs for a while.

Seeing as having numerous issues with the general game play, can't fish, can't give Roman artefacts and now can't complete a quest as the person trying to kill is just rolling around on the ground and can't be killed....
Is it worth uninstalling the game and reinstalling? Will game saves be affected?

@ubi-borealis Unsure when it happened. But now can't give Roman Artefacts to the collector.
I have never know an AC game so buggy.
Started playing Odyssey again.

When did this issue first occur? Was it immediately after building the fishing hut, or after carrying out another action?
Only noticed recently when trying to fish for eels with Ceolbert. Was definitely able to fish before, I have a few fish in my inventory.

Have you been able to use the fishing rope anywhere at all?

Only After immediately finishing the Fishing Hut and in one task where you had to fish because little boy had apparently turned into a fish. Frustrating to say the least.

Tried the same swimming and looking for eels. Couldn't see any fish let alone eels.
