I do not trust these autosave features! When this goes wrong or gets corrupted we are totally screwed. Please, please, please add the basic functionality of creating a manual save to the game, for our peace of mind!
I finished the DLC in a couple of afternoons, including all the wealth, mysteries and artefacts. Ireland is not that big. I'm very surprised the story had so little to do about druids. I was hoping for potions, spells, rituals and stuff, but no, just basic politics between the old and the new world religion. Also there really is no combat challenge when your power level is maxed out. I'm a walking meat grinder, unstoppable, unchallenged. Plenty fish to be found though
So reinstall your game to solve a network timeout issue? What a load of manure. The Ubi servers are not responding, reinstall these! Sounds just as silly right?!
@lun4wolf20 : Yes, soon a new Armor pack will become available including a nice green armored Parka, a black wool beanie headgear, yellow Wellington stomping boots, red rubber gloves, the long awaited big Flatfish shield and a big Mackerel sword. I'm in!
"Even grandpa could not catch that one". But we did kid, we did!
@freestepper : Cheers! I will cancel my Far Cry 6 preorder because of exactly this
So, three months have past since this topic was opened and this bug is still not fixed. 3 Months! 3! Sure, COVID and whatnot, but yeah, a bit disappointing. Lets hope this gets fixed before the upcoming DLC will be released, I would like to finish the main story completely before continuing.
When you cannot find your (big) fish, do not wait for them. Just call your longship and park it nearby the fishing spot. Then meditate a few times, because some fish only spawn at a certain time of day (sunset, or dawn). To trigger the spawn just fast travel to another region (not a dock) and fast travel back to your longship. Your big fish will probably be around, if not; rinse and repeat.
I used the same method for farming black bear fur. There is only one spot to get these. Parked my longship in the nearby river and fast travelled back and forth, had those furs in no time.
@vigilknight : I have the same issue with the sickle, I’m not sure what triggers it but for me it occurs during/after a fight. Specially the persistent rumble in the controller is very annoying. I can only get rid of the FX by restarting the game. I play on Xbox Series X
I can confirm that I was able to collect the opal at Uí Néill's Rest after update 1.3.0. It is not hiding under the chest anymore but now sits on the alter in the cave. For me this was the very last opal to collect in the entire game. Thanks for the fix, much appreciated!
@yjsnpkmr Do you have a VRR capable TV?
@ubi-thrupney Seems to be fixed on Xbox Series X, cheers!
@jkap13 : I had the same. Seems that all weapon paintjobs were renewed somehow. Just select the weapon and checkout the new paintjobs. Repeat for every marked weapon and the exclamation marks will disappear
I had the same trapper error yesterday. Funny detail is that I had to install an update for the game and the trapper error appeared right after that. I'm playing on Xbox Series X.
Stuff I did to fix it; I quitted the game and also quick-resume, I removed the network cable, power cycled the console, went offline from Xbox network setting menu and started the game from the main menu. When the game ran I just plugged the network cable back in and went online from the Xbox network settings menu. Switched back to the game and a big banner popped-up saying that a new insurgency was started (never seen this before) and a message that new items were available at Lola's. Cheers!
As a bonus at Lola's many guns appeared I did not see before and I also received a whole bunch of paintjobs for my weapons (I mean laterally on every weapon multiple new paintjobs appeared), and I got new clothing I apparently did not receive before but was entitled to own. Nice! So, maybe for people that seem to miss out on items, even if criteria were met; just do the above and see what happens.
I guess that stacking updates on the game without a proper reboot (did not do that since launch of the game) will result in trapper errors at some point. Lesson learned
@corwyn7 No, it is pure esthetics, no other difference at all. When you let Animus decide it will result in female Eivor for most of the main story and male Eivor for the mythological parts
@tcarlisle2012 I played it for a few hours and will try many more. I agree that it is to hard in the beginning, a small mistake in judgement often results in death and you have to start over and over again. I do not mind to do that, but it should be a bit more easier to farm money, permanent abilities and weapons to get the feeling you are progressing, now it just takes to long, specially in the first runs. This DLC is all about stealth and farming, over and over again until you are strong/good enough to do a sort of speedrun. I'm in!
@cskiller86 You can use variable firerate weapons as long as you do not change the firerate. When you do that the weapons wheel starts to glitch. As a workaround you just change that weapon (and back again if you want to).
After restarting the game the Spelunker achievement popped at last! Cheers
Strangely, for me the Crypt-ologist achievement popped on Xbox Series X, but the Spelunker achievement did not. What's that about? Getting the achievement for completing them all worked fine, but the achievement for completing just one did not. Very strange!
