

My issue is that Tobias always targets my Dockland's main wharf instead of the more efficient Dockland wharf. How can I make Tobias always target and trade at my Docklands' Pier instead of the main wharf? Shouldnt Tobias ALWAYS try to go to the fastest unload speed Pier?

@thejacktrades What is your NVIDIA driver version? Ensure that you are using the 472.46 NVIDIA driver (latest Studio release about 1 month old). Any newer driver and the game runs insanely bad as you described.
@ubi-theberry THank you for the reply. Could the devs just adjust the main Dockland Wharf to have the exact same loading/unloading speed as the Dockland Pier module? I am sure that is a very quick fix to implement as I would imagine you would only need to change one number. Also why were they ever different in the first place? Why would the main Dockland Wharf have worse loading speeds than Piers in the first place? That always seemed very weird to me.

So the issue is:
Tobias seems to mainly go for the Dockland Main Wharf instead of the ~50% faster (i.e. Dockland Main Wharf has 19t/s load speed and Dockland Pier has 28.5t/s load speed) even if both of them are completely free and no trade is going on. I dont know why he does this as even my fastest Docklands Pier is even closer to him when he arrives still ignores it (yes it is free as well).
Proposed fix:
Tobias should target the fastest Pier on your island. In race condition when your fastest pier is occupied for ease of implementation it could then go to the second fastest Pier and so on. Tobias should also retarget your fastest Pier if it becomes available before the trade happens. As Docklands Piers cannot be placed just whever you want distance calculations are not necessary and are irrelevant in large volume trades as load speed is a much more important factor than travel time.
Its very frustrating to see Tobias' AI to be so bad. Please fix its AI.
Reinstalled the NVIDIA Studio Driver version 472.47. The game works perfectly fine now.
So this happeend after I installed the newest NVIDIA driver yesterday evening. Anybody else experiencing that Anno 1800 is now unplayable?
