Just a little celebration (for myself) about a game that managed to hold me and entertain me for 3,000 hours (until the time of this post), which turned into days, turned into 125 days and into months into 4 months... 1 / 3 a year all of this in less than 3 years.
Since I'm a player who only enjoys half of what the game offers, after all: I've never played PVP, I've rarely played DZ (only 11 of these 3000 hours), I'm not from any clan and that's why, even though I like raids, I conclude only the IH Normal raid once (Discovery I've played hundreds of times, it's fun but not as challenging as in Normal mode), meaning the game has managed to hold me all this time with only half what it has to offer, when I had just over 1400h I made a post asking how many hours the forum staff had and I myself doubted that I would reach 2000h... but I'm here celebrating 3000h and wondering if it's possible for me to reach 4000h.
As much as I criticize the developers and certain things I see in the game, like some annoying mechanics and bugs, I have to thank them for making me "lose" 3000h of my life having fun in this game.
Is it just me or is this [censored] game freezing and crashing more than usual this week?
Every 3 raids I play in at least 1 this is happening.
It's getting harder and harder to be able to play raids then when you get this [censored] it freezes and only comes back when you turn off the PC using the on / off button... the worst thing is the delay to restart Windows and the game, what a [censored], long game of the the [censored] to start...
@Noxious81 Thanks man, if we criticize the game or the developers, and sometimes even exaggerate, it's because we like the game and we only want the best for the future of The Division franchise. I hope the TD2 will entertain me for hundreds of hours more and I wish you the same.
@TxDieselKid Impressive as I've been a gamer since launch and you started over a year after me and we have almost the same playing time.
@AgentMikel You will greatly increase this almost 300h you have, because the Replay factor (the thing I most admire in a game) in The Division 2 is absurd, if I had one more empty slot, I would start with a new agent today.
@Imagine_Brata This excites me to reach 4000h... and what I say, say what you want, but the Replay factor of this game is insane, very few games can hold players as much.
@Aced_100 Yes, my playing time and that of many has certainly grown absurdly from the pandemic.
Starting with my first agent, I'll just put the two loadouts that my agents use the most:
THAT'S MY GIRL: Sniper Doctor (for group games with considerable firepower... for a medical build, of course)
Excellent for group play, it's a medical build, but it has firepower to kill most NPCs with a few shots, including some elites.
BAD GIRL: Agressive Technician (serves both groups and solo games)
Highlight for the Perfect Combined Arms talent and exotic Waveform holster, the only weak point of this here is when the drone or turret does not obey the player's command to aim at an enemy closer to the agent... it's still great.
Let it be clear that I am disregarding the legendary mode.
It's one of the weaknesses of this game: Need tutorials (YouTube) to do certain things like Hunter Masks, raid IH and backpack trophies... your first experience is watching another player play for you to learn.
Forget builds here, there are few that really work in this mode, what matters is the skill and especially the patience and perseverance of the player to be able to play this mode (in the case of solo games).
Honestly I don't like this mode, the enemies OK, I can handle it, but their abilities (drones and healing station) and those robotic dogs discourage me from playing this mode.
I admire the patience and skill of those who play that and... HAVE FUN playing it.
This is a bug from months ago that became common, before the game only crashed for me when I was on the raid or on a team (the logical explanation for me is that the game was more overloaded)...
...but now even playing alone or even without moving, stopped in the White House, the game crashes and goes back to the desktop (or it crashes to the point where I have to turn off the PC using the power button).
Well, as you anyway will fill all the specialization points, as you already have more than half of them, so allow me to suggest something about your build (just take what I'm going to say below as an opinion, after all I don't know how you play, what is your affinity level with the game and with your build)
Sniper builds are for "pure DPS" (killing enemies with as few shots as possible, after all sniper shots are some of the strongest in the game, but they are slow both from shot to shot and to reload the weapon), that is, they are better used if they are 100% offensive (or close to it).
But as you don't want to use the main skill of a sniper (headshots) due to the difficulty of having to play with a controller (it's really hard), then I would suggest the following equipment:
Sniper Rifle: White Death or Classic M44 Carbine with Firstblood or Killer.
Rifle: M1A Classic with Killer or Boomerang or Baker Dozen.
Pistol: if you don't have any of the exotic ones, the D50 is the best choice with Lucky Shot or Killer.
Equipments:
one Airald Holdings (precision rifle buff);
one Overload Armaments (rifle buff);
one Douglas & Harding (pistol buff);
one or two Walker, Harris & Co. (weapon buff and damage to armor);
one Grupo Sombra OR Ceska Vyroba c.r.o (CHD e CHC buff, it can be both, if you only have one Walker, Harris & Co; remembering that CHC limit is 60%);
Backpack Talent: Vigilance and Vest Talent: Unbreakable or Focus (for the sniper rifle);
And as for skills, I would use the Fixer Drone and the Bulwark Ballistic Shield...
If you have some decent exotics, your build can still get better, of course the difficulty mode you are playing counts, in Story, Normal or Hard mode your current build will work, but in Challenging, Heroic and Legendary no.
But what matters is the FUN, you made sure to start the game from the beginning, in my opinion, it was a mistake for the developer to give the option of new players starting from the expansion, they lose a lot of the learning experience and especially the fun.
Probably many will like it, because it's a more... "modern" layout, from the smartphone generation, while others won't even care, there will still be some more "annoying" people (like me), who just look at this layout, feel uncomfortable... Maybe it's because I'm not used to these prettier layouts and prefer the simpler ones or the fact that I'm becoming a boring old man. The new layout is nice, but I preferred the old layout, it was more of a "PC layout".
Maybe you're annoyed to see your teammates killing NPCs with absurd ease while you have empty magazines and more ammo magazines to take down just one elite NPC...
Cowardice for me, is what the developer does when it allows certains items, like this Regulus there and the Eagle Bearer, can only be acquired by a part of the players.
This is just another kind of build, man, if you don't accept that people have a more efficient build than you, then don't play in a group, play alone or just play with friends on your list who you know don't use this build, you don't have to be the team's "DPS killer badass" to have fun.
Easy to solve, create other agents, forget about your main agent and create others, it's FUN...
I've already used my 4 agent slots (2 male agents and 2 female agents) each with a different build style (offensive, technical, defensive and hybrid) and if I could, I would create another character from scratch, even with more than 3 thousand hours of gameplay and SHD close to 5000.
I created my first agent as a woman, I spent almost a year just playing with her until I decided to create my male sniper agent (which I identify with the most), and obviously this is the one I have the most hours of gameplay, only later. preferring to play with this agent, I created two more with different characteristics and builds than the first two, all are fun to play, don't get stuck with the idea that "I don't want to waste time starting with another agent", start from scratch in DC (no remember if this is possible or if those who already have the expansion start in NY) and it's like dragommit said: your agents now benefit from many things that your first agent achieved, so the journey is easier and faster.
Don't waste time and create your new agent today... I wish I had one more slot to create one more.
These "weird" behaviors have always existed in this game, but not on the scale that's been happening since these last updates.
I remember some time ago I even fixed a thread here on the forum about NPCs doing inexplicable damage and even snipers hitting the player after going into cover behind a wall and to this day I don't know if these are bugs, or are they things of server, slow connection or if it is programming purposely made to be like this, to give the impression of a "challenge" to the player, but one thing is certain: The Division 2 has been dead for some time, it hurts many like me to accept this , but it's the truth.
In addition to not having any interesting news, the developer keeps putting off updates that say will be news that will please players... and the occasional (weekly) updates, in addition to not fixing bugs, are making the game more and more unplayable ... it's sad not to be so excited to play and all of a sudden the game crashes, in the middle of the mission... and that's how they play update over update without fixing the bugs, which tend to increase and whoever isn't having these bugs still, for sure will be in the next updates.
As for the crashes, I tried to play twice today and both times, in less than 15 minutes the game crashed... it's sad to see that this game will become unplayable as it is increasingly moving towards this...

It's sad to see that every day things get worse in this game, whether with bugs that have been there since the release, whether with the increasingly constant crashes and also how the developers treat this game. One of the few things that's left for me is to play in Legendary as a team and explore the open world, there aren't always reasonable players to play in Legendary (understand by "reasonable" anyone who doesn't come out ahead shooting like that a "ret @rd", not waiting for the team to position themselves and arrange their skills for each area), finally I'm going to talk about the open world:
WHAT A DISGUSTING IDEA IS THIS OF STAYING ALL TIME NPCs SHOWING OUT OF NO THING ON THE BACKS OF PLAYERS?
Am I playing Doom, with a bunch of demons popping out of hell's portals?
Damn, the player does not walk 20 meters that NPCs appear and when the battle starts with them and tries to retreat, to reposition themselves, reload a weapon or even change the vest, out of nowhere behind him (or to the sides) another group of NPCs appears, this is annoying, besides all the bugs, you still have to put up with it, what made me like The Division and think it was a different game was the fact that I had to stop, think, reason, create builds and calculate my steps... but not now, it seems that more and more I'm playing one of these frantic FPS where a lot of enemies come up and I have to go shooting like a crazy, no time to position or even think.
If this The Division were what I knew from the beginning, I wouldn't have 300h out of the almost 3000h that I have, as it's too "commonplace" increasingly similar to most action games out there... ie , just the outdated formula of: "Shoot first ALWAYS ask later..." which translated to games is: Kill, kill, kill... and that's it.
Sorry for the long outburst, but The Division is much more than that, I'm not liking the path I see the game is taking as we'll probably have the successor in two years, and have one or two modes and a more "differentiated" game like they are. the raids, The Summit and Legendary quests (even with their ridiculous exaggerations I also think they should make more quests available in this mode as that's what most players have been playing since launch) I support these different modes, but make this a pattern by making the whole game like this, NO.
For the PC, I think this idea would work well if the following were to happen::
When you press and hold a specific key it would appear with all available abilities and the mouse cursor would also appear and as the player moved the mouse cursor over a from the wheel skills, another sub-menu would appear with its variants, the player would simply click with the left mouse button for the chosen skill and variant to go to the first position or with the right button for the skill to go to the second position. I think this would be much faster and more efficient, because besides everything the player would still have a view of what is happening around them, different from what it is now, depending on the way you are playing, it is very difficult to change an ability in the middle of battle...
...but I think if this has to happen, it will only be at the next The Division.
Perfect... as this would help a lot especially in team missions in Legendary and Raids.
Another thing that bothers me is when I have to change some skill to another variation of the same skill, I have to change its mods too.
Thanks for the answers, that's what I really suspected: the servers, and unfortunately this problem will become more visible next week with the global event Reanimated.
I recorded a video about another problem that happened in the last update, which is about the agent not being able to open the special ammo chests because the command for him to open the boxes did not appear and by chance the Rogues Agents ended up appearing, as I love facing these 'azrules', I went into battle against them and what was my surprise to see that my headshot in the second Rogue Agent was a "shouldershot" I can say that I felt the shot didn't go to the head and to my surprise when I edited the video leaving it with 10% of normal speed, it wasn't really... the hitbox of the agent's head was out of place, that is, her movement did not match what I was seeing, and I think this is really a server problem...
I don't know if it's just me or if it's The Division 2 server or my internet connection, but for a while now, about 3 weeks ago, I get the impression that sniper rifles are... "less accurate", sometimes I shoot NPCs in the head and nothing happens (since enemies have an extreme facility to avoid headshots, while the player even takes headshots of NPCs crouched in cover using a pistol) and I have the impression that now to take a headshot, I have to aim and squint the NPCs' eyes, as if in some of the latest updates they had decreased the hitbox (I think that's what it's called, which is the impact area of a given object) of the NPCs' heads, I'd like to know if someone who uses sniper builds noticed this or it's just my imagination, I almost always use the Nemesis, which is the most complicated sniper rifle in the game, maybe that's it, but I suspect the problem is on the server itself, since by the at least once a day the game has to crash.
