@ubi-baron As is the case with others, updating Windows isn't an option for me (conflicting software necessary for work). When might we expect to see a fix for those of us in this predicament? Thanks.
Just formally requested a refund after reading @Ubi-Baron 's official response this morning. Despite being aware many players have updated Windows and are still encountering the problem, we well as being aware that many of us use our pc's for work applications that conflict with updating Windows, Ubi has effectively said, "your problem, not ours."
If AC Valhalla could feed my family, I'd choose play over work. But here we are. Oh well. Guess I'll look forward to Cyberpunk 2077 instead.
Just booted up the game, fingers crossed that this update would solve the problem...sadly, it does not. Exact same issues persist. Oh well. Guess I'll have to spend time with my spouse today after all. Thank for nothing, Ubisoft.
@ubi-baron
GTX 1060, latest driver; I rolled back to the previous version but the problem persisted.
The behavior began immediately when Eivor was a child and continued; I tried to play through it but it is so incredibly trippy (and not the good kind) it is utterly unplayable.
This was my first save slot; first time running the game. I have verified file integrity twice.

Just want to jump on here and say we're all thinking about Ubisoft Montreal right now. Games are just that--games. It terrifies me to think an angry gamer is now terrorizing people who are just trying to do their jobs. Hang in there, Ubi Montreal. Stay safe. Our thoughts are with you.
@a22ghooligan Wow. Just booted up and saw a large herd of wild horses--ten or more--completely destroy some poor people's house. The horses were in the running away stage and just FUBARed the whole place--walls exploding, cars rocking, people screaming. What, we have horses of the apocalypse here? The horses themselves are done pretty well, but their interactions with the world could definitely use some work.

@a22ghooligan I couldn't agree more about the horses. I am so disappointed. I'd even settle for how they were handled in AC O--where you could set the sprint speed.
The other big mistake studios make with horses is how limited your FOV becomes. I grew up on horses, and while they are great for transportation, another reason humans took to them is because of how much *more* you can see when you are on them. If anyone wants to get horses right, or at least better, they're going to need to address that. I had high-ish hopes for these guys, but meh.
And yeah, why are they always hurtling around, especially on those tiny, narrow trails? It's very disappointing.
@niceraccoonbro Your best bet would be to post all your system specs here, as crashing isn't happening to all/most (idk) players. The more info about your system you can give the better. I'd also suggest making sure all your drivers are up to date, etc. Good luck.

@masterlav98 You can just copy paste the info from the DxDiag here if you want to. Here's hoping they get this sorted quickly.
