i disagree, male eivor does not have to actually exist in the historical setting to make him canon too. this is because of how the AC games work, you are not and never were playing in the actual past, you are and always were playing a modern day person who experiences rememberings Stored in DNA by using the animus. both are canon not because both existed depending on what you choose but because the animus can portrait both because of eivor being a sage.
male eivor exists within female eivor as odins memories and personality who gradually merge with her own over time however they were one and the same character in the "actual world of the historical setting", its just that the animus has problems with overlapping data streams because of the merging of memories and personality which happens to sages. you choose one or let the animus choose and work around this problems to avoid them as they are painfull for the animus user as we saw.
and the female name was no mistake as the actual eivor is a female character as i wrote in my first comment.

i agree with that, the mythological lense approach probably is the best you can do if you really want to include isu times in ac games as a developer. And i doupt that they will do that all the time, this particular approach requires some very specific characters to work and i doupt that we will play such a character in all the future ac games as well.
@rev09 yea, i like that cosmetics too, especially the predator helmet with the animated predator hair.

@rev09 I highly doupt that this is an option anymore at this piont, Ubisoft does not have the license for that anymore which is also why they removed the predator mission from wildlands in 2020.
@leucos_ since i cant edit my post anymore i have to make anohter one.
i really hope that we will get them through the helix store like the other festival rewards i mentioned.
the sword is awesome from its visuals, it does not look over the top and actually looks at least somewhat like it could have existed which is exactly how i want my weapons to look like and the watchtower big tree cosmetic is easily my favorite big tree cosmetic in the game.
It does not register for me either, i made multiple headshots with all 3 bow types including with guided arrows to make shure i really hit the head.
@kmarkopl Well, we got the rewards from at least 1 festival for free with the godly rewards in the helix store so that could probably happen with this rewards as well.

it does not only seem odd from our modern point of view, it would look odd for a ancient greek person too, i studied history at the karl franzens university in graz for about 5 semesters and from what i learned there ancient greece societies were extremely male dominated, warfare was a male only thing, the only exception from that were some rare occasions with queens, a female mercenary like kassandra would have had extremly hard struggles to even find a contract giver in the first place.
@souldrinkerlp
indeed.
