Since the 1.0.4 update, I've been unable to play the game due to the framerate dropping to below 15fps constantly.
The game works as it used to when I first load in, however, when I pause then unpause the game, the whole game slows down considerably. It's especially egregious near water, where the framerate suffers most. This has reoccurred without fail every time I try to play the game since the update.
Having task manager open throughout the process, I can see that before pausing AC:Valhalla is using roughly 70% of my CPU power. When paused, this quickly drops to around 30%, and then when unpaused it remains there at 30%. It seems to stay at the low usage level instead of claiming more processing space to handle the renewed load.
I stress again that I did not have this issue before the 1.0.4 update.
My PC's current specs are:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8400 CPU @ 2.80GHz (6 CPUs)
24576MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
