According to a recent blog by Valve, BattlEye support for Proton, a compatibility layer to play Windows games on Linux, can be enabled by reaching out to BattlEye and they can enable Proton support from their end without any involvement from the developers.

If it's this easy from the developer's perspective to enable this feature, what are you waiting for Ubi? Please call them up.
Edit: Hopefully High Caliber (next season) will add on Proton support, am not very confident in this though
@koen523 Since Vulkan support was added awhile ago, anticheat was quite possibly the only thing stopping them from porting Siege to Linux. Now that opportunity is here and is EZ PZ to implement, the only thing stopping it is sending an email.
With that said, I'm still going to wait for tomorrow's season reveal.
@d1pper11d1p If you noticed the bullethole change, you are the reason why it got removed. End of story.
@synonymousshere Roni is already ridiculously strong without the 1.5x, to the point that I'm an advocate for it's removal from Mozzie AND a general Roni nerf.
Title. I have $100 in my Steam wallet and want to buy the Year 7 Premium Pass. However, it still hasn't shown up on Steam despite all of the other year passes also showing up on Steam in the past. Please either add it or confirm its going to get added.
EDIT: It was added to Steam, but there's a teensy conflict where you get banned if you actually check out via Steam.
@biloslava How is that going to help? It's pretty much Putin's war with zero grassroots support.
Even though I am fully aware of cross progression coming in early 2022 and basically every piece of developer statement or snippet of information out there, there is still one burning question I've had in my mind since it was revealed: is cross progression going to merge the inventories of each platform or is one platform's inventory going to replace all of the others? Throughout all pieces of information I've gathered, this question is never directly nor indirectly addressed.
This is important to me since I have been playing for a long time, and have some unobtainable cosmetics on my PlayStation account that I can't have on my PC and vice versa.
@tap-n-move Drop the tough talk routine and post some clips, then we will listen.
@m-2recruit Technically no, but since it requires you to wait for the timer to tick down to 0 and you bring no special utility to your team, your teammates are going to be pretty annoyed with you.
Is there a plan to incorporate new maps instead of just reworking old ones?
Now that the competitive map pool is more solid, we will be switching to hybrid mode. This means that we will continue to maintain and improve the released maps with reworks but we will also start to make brand new ones again.
@watcher_6
I wonder if this issue can be replicated on Stadia or Console, since that would basically rule out any doubt that the setup was at fault, since the player is constrained to specific hardware and cannot be held liable for any faults resulting from said hardware.
Thing is that the game doesn't self detect that its crashed (just sits there not responding & bugged out) nor has an opportunity to report it back to Ubisoft, since Task Manager has to be whipped up every time to actually close it or a restart in severe circumstances. This lack of telemetry data is why I think the customer service rep is questioning your setup so hard, because they have no other reason to go for.
@l_huntington78
Yep, and not to mention that almost every testing period, almost nothing seems to change. Session notes are almost always changing a game mode or map, making every other part that should be accounted for (e.g. bugs, balancing) appear to be forgotten or lost in the "focus" of each period.
There's this site called TechPowerUp that provides a repository for different DLSS file versions, that each could bring incremental improvements in image quality, performance, or both. With the file in hand, people have swapped the DLSS file in certain games to give themselves those improvements to games that haven't had the opportunity or developers that care to update to the latest version of the file.
Thing is, Siege is in that position where the DLSS file is not on the latest file version as per said website, and has been for at least 3 updates now, making this "hack" an option. Given that the site claims the file is safe from tampering as the file is digitally signed by Nvidia, and the game loads and runs the manually placed file just fine for me; am I safe from the ban hammer by staying on the bleeding edge of this feature?
Sorry if this was slightly confusing, but this is a concern that I've had in the back of my mind ever since I got a laptop with RTX in it
R6's graphic is awesome but is useless, because the heavy graphic lenghten the waiting time, i need that r6 became more "lighter".
I don't think that Siege's graphics are necessarily the cause for waiting times, but in it's current state, several loading screens or things hinging on player(s) deciding when to go forward could be parallelized without diving into why Siege takes so long to load. Like with attacker repick in the game now, do we honestly have to wait for afk or indecisive attacker(s) picking an op just to get the game moving?
I hope that Ubisoft take Valorant "philosophy" (small competitive map, heroes are balanced and same heroes between attacker and defender) and create a new game with a r6's gunplay and without eliminate a r6 feature maybe a bit less. A R6:two with a "drier" gameplay less destructible wall or floor and maps more little, House map stile.
You're essentially proposing to change Siege into Valorant or Overwatch with a bit of destruction and ported shooting mechanics, which I think is genuinely not a very well thought out plan.
Might as well add micro destruction and said shooting mechanics to XDefiant, since that's almost exactly the type of game you are asking for, and also doesn't require throwing away an entire game.
@Sticks-NHVN
I think the problem is that they focus too much on Pro League and competitive and in their opinion small maps are not made for this. Tower, Fortress, Villa, Emerald Plains ... these maps are way too huge in my opinion. I prefer the "more action" smaller maps like House, Oregon, Plane,...
Might as well say you've never actually payed attention, nor know the actual scale of the maps. Emerald Plains is barely larger than Oregon, however, Emerald Plains has a denser layout with generally smaller rooms giving that illusion. Same thing with literally every other map you listed as "too big"; they are generally denser maps giving off the illusion that they are bigger than they actually are.
@lie-nus @Damiekinz Siege twitter posted this:
I know a few people that haven't played Y7 yet and don't want to spoil my change at getting the R4-C skin just to find out if it's live yet. Hence, this post.
Edit: I also forgot to ask if you can get all of the rewards at once if say, I completed the requirements in a squad of 4.
@d0d_s1lver Then have it where a console player can join a lobby of PC players or vice versa, to then queue with PC folks. Seamless crossplay without arbitrary menu items for folks that can't read, use a search engine, or bother to learn the menu UI but somehow can navigate the internet to ask a question.
@d0d_s1lver If console players have repeatedly complained that MnK adapters are ruining their games, then what's the point of the toggle?
Ever since ""crossplay"" between PC, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna was released last year, an observation I have made is that new or returning players see 'crossplay' emblazoned right across their screen or wherever then go ahead and ask "crossplay is out?" with the expectation that it's like crossplay in most other games that claim to have it (i.e. between Console and PC). Then someone has to correct that person's expectations and explain that it's not what they expect, and more often than not an accompanying explanation what Google Stadia and Amazon Luna actually are. The in-game description of crossplay within the menu to turn it on/off at the moment doesn't clearly explain what it means either, making the only way you actually know what everything means is if this information was presented to you directly or you found it yourself.
Given that this information is presented in an unclear and indirect fashion, I have thought up of two different approaches to this problem:
Slightly related, but the crossplay X logo is just awful. Make a deal with whomever executives to have the appropriate logo displayed or replace it for something that's actually obvious.
