(I can play RDR2 Ultra and is amazing) - GTX 1660Ti 6GB
I call BS ...... No way can you do ultra with a measly 1660Ti ........ I know because I had one and upgraded to a RX 5700 and still couldn't pull it off ......
@snakeeater49910
Well I'm 61 and I can remember back when you bought a product it actually worked as advertised ..... I'm an EE and if my work was this shoddy I'd be sued out of existence in no time at all ..... Software needs to be held to the same standards as hardware is and until it is things are only going to get worse and worse as I predicted 15 years ago when people started repeating the falsehood that "all software/games are buggy at release and we shouldn't expect them not to be"
We need to hold their feet to the fire otherwise they have ZERO incentive to do better ...... I predicted this over 15 years ago ..... The younger generations are too forgiving and that's how we got here ... If you and they had put your foot down 15 years ago things wouldn't be this bad today with nearly every single new release broken and buggy as a New York City crack house
It doesn't seem to do anything at all and I've tried it in all 4 modes Partial, Full, Light and Off ...... There is absolutely zero difference and you waste most of your arrows for nothing and you can't even craft more .....
Odyssey did it way better ..... Switching bows is clunky as hell, you have no way of knowing how many arrows you actually have unless you equip the bow and pull the right trigger and after 18 1/2 hours of gameplay I still haven't gotten any cloth for upgrade nor even a hint of how and where to find it .....
Other problems I've had was trying to take down a monastery on my own and of course running out of arrow in a matter of a couple of minutes because you can't lock on to anything making it almost impossible to hit anything moving I had to blow my horn 6 damn times before I could get any assistance, 5 times after I had killed everyone with the help of prisoners I released .... My guys were no where in sight and I wasted a lot of time because you can't loot anything without assistance and the prisoners you free just run off and are no help .... the ungrateful bastards ...... I kept having to blow the horn until they finally showed up .....
All the archery challenge did is point out how utterly broken the Aim Assist and bows are in general .....
This is how bows should work ... Same studio, same game engine, same lead developer
Ubisoft Quartz’s Ghost Recon NFTs Appear To Have Made Just $400 Total
Well, everyone sure did not seem to be on board with Ubisoft Quartz and its blockchain-based NFTs for Ghost Recon Breakpoint, a series of limited edition cosmetics that could be claimed in the game. But at least for now, it appears that it isn’t just gamers who don’t really care about them, it’s NFT collectors as well.
As pointed out by Apex Legends Senior Character Artist Liz Edwards on Twitter, the entire market for resold Ghost Recon Breakpoint NFTs appears to be just…$400 total.

@tosk406 I believe the first reports came in shortly after the 3rd part of Fate of Atlantis dropped ..... One way I've worked around the problem is I only use swords for melee and only use my secondary weapon for it's engravings. That means the engravings for spears, heavy blunts, staffs, heavy blades, and daggers don't show up .... Not really sure if that will give me enough "breathing room" to add 6 more engravings from the new DLC to the list
Another way to work around it, but it only works with a new game, is to not import any armor sets you aren't going to use from the store because each one adds another Legendary Engraving .... Ditto for every weapon or bow from the store
Of course the proper solution is to simply recode that part of the game so instead of being limited to two digits (0-99) you increase it to 3 digits (0-999)
@yesin069 I played both Origins and Odyssey with a sword as my melee weapon and used the secondary melee weapon for it's engraving boosts only .... About the only time I ever used anything other that a sword for melee was the occasional weekly ori quests where they wanted you to kill 'x' number of solder with a spear or heavy blunt .... In Origins I got the Deluxe version and pretty much used the poisoned sword that came with it through the entire game and it also had a poisoned heavy blunt which I like to use on the Phylakes by ambushing them from behind and whacking them with it to start out, ride past turn and shoot a few arrows at them to stun them and then whack them again with it ..... I only used a shield against a couple of the bosses where it was a necessity ..... A good sword and a good bow and I'm set
@longliverng Well it really should since they both use the exact same game engine .....
Ubisoft needs to ask themselves this simple question .... What is the main difference between Odyssey and Valhalla?
Answer is simple, Odyssey uses DX11 like every AC game since Unity and Valhalla uses DX12
From this a seasoned troubleshooter can deduce that the problem is most likely a bad implementation of the DX12 APIs ..... That's where they need to start digging into the code
The reasoning behind these questions they are asking is to try to find a commonality between the systems that are having problem but the commonality is staring them straight in the eye but they are too myopic to see it .... That commonality is DX12 ... Not Intel CPUs or AMD CPUs or AMD GPUs or Nvidia GPUs or certain motherboards or certain DDR4 RAM .... It happens across the board on all system types from the minimum requirements setups to the best setups you can buy today
It is NOT a hardware problem, the problem is in THEIR code
@t7pdm This has been a known issue for well over a year now, probably almost 2 years (Since the Fate of Atlantis release) .... The engravings list only holds 100 items (0-99) and when the limit is exceeded something gets pushed off the list and the first to go is +30% armor penetration ...... People that have already exceeded the limit before this new DLC will end up losing 7 more engravings
Adding more engravings without expanding the list was an obvious oversight and likely will never get fixed
@jmetch
If the Management of CDPR actually gave a monkey's behind they would have delayed the release on consoles ..... It is completely and utterly broken and unplayable on the PS4 and Xbox One and they lied to console games just 2 weeks before release that it ran remarkably well on consoles .... They lied to you .... They intentionally deceived you in a way I've never seen from a publisher ..... Not even EA has stooped as low as to tell a bald faced lie like that
They are no different than the average Swamp Creature Politician that knows they can lie and BS and their Cult will still forgive and praise them ..... Don't be a Simp for CDPR
@azullFR ADR does what it says, it affects the dynamic range not the actual mix. Basically on the highest/widest settings it will make the loud sounds a bit louder and the soft sounds a bit lower. It's going to have the most noticeable affect on loud scenes with lots of explosions and such and the quiet scenes at night while normal sounds will be unaffected. About the only way to adequately test it would be to record the same scene with the different settings, strip out the audio with a demuxer and then run it through an audio analyzer program like Audacity and measure the actual dynamic range. The idea behind it is if you have a system with a lot of power and separate subwoofers (My system is 450 total watts and has 2 8" subwoofers" and 4 "point source" satellite speakers and a center channel speaker) you put it on the night time settings so the explosions don't wake up the entire household when the subwoofers rumble but you are still able to turn up the sound enough so you can hear whispers or quiet dialog.
Also be aware there are already similar settings in Windows Sound Control Panel that can cancel out the settings in a game or other sound applications and also some sound chips have effects built in their drivers that can do the same and those will take precedent over the game audio settings.
@mRomanoff That is normal behavior, there is no menu listing for LotFB. It will become available after you reach a certain level about the time you finish up the Argolis - Korinthia-Pirate Islands quests and will become available on your ship's message board. There will also be a marker at the port of Potidaia in Makedonia and when you go there the DLC will start with the following cutscene
@mRomanoff You have to buy the DLCs from the same place you bought the main game. If you bought the game on Steam or Epic then you have to get the DLCs from Steam or Epic. Try contacting support and tell them your mistake and they should refund your money and then you can go over to Steam and buy it
@larsthedwarf3 Try going to Options -> Control -> Double Press and setting it to Disabled or anything other than Autowalk
@TheNorfolkian I was just thinking last night after playing some Origins as to why I rank Odyssey as my favorite and Black Flag second and then Origins as third. What makes both Odyssey and Black Flag stand apart from the rest are the extra characters many of whom are memorable and based (loosely) on real historical people. In Black Flag you have Blackbeard, Mary Read, Ann Bonney, Calico Jack, Stede Bonnet, Charles Vane, Ben Hornigold plus fictional characters like Adewalde all of which have fleshed out personalities. In Odyssey you have Herodotos, Hippokrates. Alkibiade, Kleon, Brasidas, Aspacia, Aristophanes etc. along with fictional characters like Barnabas and Kyra all of which have fleshed out presonalities. That was missing in both Origins and Valhalla at least to the degree of Black Flag and Odyssey.
The Ezio Trilogy also has some good characters but the the janky controls in those games always impeded my enjoyment of them, especially the pull a trigger to run and the auto-climb anything you accidently bump into just ruins the enjoyment. While Black Flag suffers from that also since you spend a lot of time on your ship which does control well so it's not nearly as annoying
@Mickey157 ah, right, I get the Viking mythology stuff, it's the Isu story behind it that confuses me
It kind of confuses me too and I've played both Origins and Odyssey including the DLCs multiple times ..... Odyssey by far tells the Izu backstory the best especially the Fate of Atlantis DLC which has loads of background information if you pay attention and read everything you come across. There seems to be a huge disconnect in the story between Odyssey and Valhalla almost like they are telling two different Izu back lore stories
@Epso13 Legend of the First Blade doesn't have a menu entry but you should get a listing on your ship's message board and to start the DLC you go to a marker in Makedonia at the port of Potidaia
To start Fate of Atlantis you first need to complete the closing of Atlantis quest in the main game, the Heir of Memories including finding Theras and then the 3 sysmbols needed to open up the hidden section of Atlantis
@frollscuba I imagine you can just import the game into the Steam/Proton interface just like you can do on PC ..... In order to get a controller to work correctly in AC II I had to import the game into Steam so I could use Steam's controller overlay even though I bought the game direct from Ubisoft. Google "Importing non-Steam games into Steam"
@vasgabor Works fine here with the latest build ..... Like I said it's just weird
I just recorded a complete play through of the game and because of Kenway's Fleet I was able to fully upgrade my island fairly early in the game plus buy up all the art pieces for the house https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkdqp16ufvSmVVVFVcWuP234MaKskpLBr
At 14:40 in this video you can see me access the fleet
