@ubi-swaggins The biggest issue is that the audio is all extremely compressed. It sounds like the bitrate is around 64kbps which is very low. I mean, even Odyssey was around 100gb later on. Valhalla is only 45gb so there's a lot of headroom to improve audio quality and texture quality too
@saz3rt I'm not having the that large of an volume imbalance, but Eivor is definitely a good 4-5dbs to loud
@last4ssn I don't even consider myself an audiophile and I can barely get through the awful low bitrate audio. I can't even fathom what you have to deal with here as an audiophile! Please acknowledge this issue Ubisoft, or I am definitely returning the game
Check your graphics settings and make sure the Resolution Scale settings is set to 100%. For some reason, mine defaulted to 80% when I started so the resolution was below native.
Hey Ubisoft support,
I'm sure you're aware of the issue since it's very widespread, but the audio is very, very poor quality. The balancing of certain sounds like Eivor being much louder than everyone else, the assassination sound being way too loud, and just low bitrate all around. This is probably the most immersion breaking issue. I'm also having stuttering issues like many others, and it is seemingly random. I have reinstalled drivers, disabled fullscreen optimizations, and done everything I can to minimize the stuttering, but it still occasionally comes back. Also, I wouldn't mind if the northern lights were fixed too. They look absolutely miserable, even so that 9 year old Skyrim has better auroras. Thanks for your support!
@dragonofoz This is why I don't understand why devs don't add a sharpness filter option that you can tweak. I can deal fine with TAA's blur if there was lumasharpen to counteract it
I purchased Valhalla on release date and have enjoyed it immensely ever since. I've put appox. 43 hours of gameplay and I've had not a single crash or freeze.
However, Valhalla has just recently been crashing every 30 minutes for some reason? The areas I've been having this in are Lunden and Oxenefordscire, other areas I've had no issues. I'm sure if this is due to the new title update or what, but this is upsetting
I also don't understand why they won't add more than 2 sliders for audio leveling. Even Skyrim from 9 years ago had around 5 sliders for adjusting audio

@h4irynutts47 Also wondering why the next region recommends 280 power while the current region only recommends 1 power

Sorry to hear that man, hope it gets fixed soon. I honestly haven't run into any trouble yet, but knock on wood
