I started a new chat (after waiting 10 days for a response to the previous one) and the new Ubisoft rep told me they couldn't refund me (even for a broken game) because I had already "accessed" it. Luckily, I explained the situation to my credit card company and they were happy to start a dispute / chargeback. Specifically, I explained to them that I did not receive a functioning product because the save feature (an essential part of the product) is not working properly. I also told them that over 100 people are on the forum complaining about this issue (so it is a known problem) and Ubisoft has not replied.
If Ubisoft is not going to do jack [censored] about this, perhaps others should consider calling their credit card companies to discuss a chargeback. I know I didn't pay >$100 for a malfunctioning product. I will try to remember to come back and post an update if I hear anything about my chargeback.
@ltarqsuperbus Update: Apparently Ubisoft changed their mind and decided to give me a refund after I mentioned a chargeback in a help chat with one of their reps. Since Ubisoft is now agreeing to refund me, I will cancel the chargeback I started.
Yep, I'm done with this game for the next year or two. I'm not interested in replaying >10 hours. I feel devastated losing 10 hours, I can't imagine what people losing 20+ hours felt like. I'm asking for a refund. I thought Cyberpunk was going to get killed because of Valhalla being released, but it looks like Valhalla might have shot itself in the foot...
I can't believe this still isn't fixed? I'll be playing the next game before I'm able to play this one.
We'll probably have the next AC game published and ready before I can even play this one.
JUST TURN OFF THE CLOUD SYNC, UBISOFT!!!!
@ubi-woofer
1 I played on PC
2 No crash, but there was a message about being disconnected from the cloud
3 I stopped playing after it happened once
4 I don't think so, I think it had something to do with being disconnected and the cloud overwriting any local saves

Well, it's been a week since I submitted my "support ticket" (refund request) and I still have no response. I guess this is my lesson and my punishment. I will NEVER, EVER, EVER buy a game outside of Steam, EVER again. I didn't want to in the first place, and it's a bittersweet feeling to prove myself right. If Ubisoft doesn't respond soon, I'll be calling my credit card company to talk about a chargeback. The malfunctioning product I received is not the thing I paid for.
