@bielik01 okay. Thank you for replying. Is there anyway you can confirm this with the Ubisoft staff? I’d really appreciate it if you can. I always thought that it was virtual reality since it said that the Animus was a virtual reality machine. I didn’t know that it supposedly takes place in the past like you said. I managed to get a hold of one of the members in another discussion but not this one.
Thanks.
@bielik01 Thank you for responding. Not trying to sound rude but my question is still unanswered. I read an article about the animus and it says it’s a virtual reality machine. Is what we’re seeing (when playing as Eivor) is a simulation/virtual reality? Or does it actually take place in the past?
Thanks
Luke
@bielik01 all right. thanks for replying. So, what we’re seeing, when we play as Eivor the Viking, is it virtual reality or does it actually go back in time? I thought it goes back in time since the player (Eivor) already has knowledge of who certain people are as well as fighting skills.
@ubi-milky okay. Thank you for letting me know.
@ubi-oxavo I understand that the character, Layla, is accessing Eivor’s genetic memories but does the Animus machine somehow send the character back to the past? In the first Assassin’s Creed game, the character finds an email about a piece of Eden which is used for time travel which has been locked away due to concerns of accidentally creating paradoxes. I also heard that in Assassins’s Creed Origins, you get a message from an Isu character that mentions that the past can be altered through the Animus machine so is the machine used for time travel? Does Layla’s consciousness go back in time and see through Eivor’s eyes?
Anyone’s feedback would be appreciated.
@ubi-woofer Hello again. I have one more question. Would you mind assisting me? Please let me know if it’s best to continue with my question on this thread or a new thread.
Luke
@ubi-woofer okay. Thank you for the notification.
Luke
Hello there,
I was wondering, does the Animus machine somehow send the character back to the past? I heard that in Assassins’s Creed Origins, the character (Layla) can alter the past through the machine so it must be time travel. Perhaps Layla’s consciousness goes back in time and is able to view the warrior’s memories. I understand that she is accessing the warrior’s genetic memories so does that mean that she travels to the past and accesses the warriors memories based on where the warrior was at that point in time? I’d appreciate it if I could get an answer from from the Ubisoft staff member(s) too.
Anyone’s feedback would be appreciated.
@lv13578 I’d appreciate it if I could get an answer from from the Ubisoft staff member(s) too.
