Been stuck with the same bug for a few days now, done everything else I can/want to do in the game while waiting for a fix.
Unfortunately the game is riddled with bugs, most of which I can understand - no reasonable amount of play testing can find every spot where you're able to clip and get stuck inside a rock in such a large open world game for example. But main story quests and even side quests should be tested and working properly before release.
It's clear Ubisoft released the game before it was ready to coincide with new console launches rather than thoroughly play testing the game from start to finish. Too many people experiencing the same bugs to be able to claim their testers didn't experience any issues, unless there were only a few and were all extremely lucky.
In regards to people asking for compensation, good luck. I personally am not interested in playing any DLC after reading about all the issues here, Helix credits are useless and I've not played any other Ubisoft game (apart from AC) since For Honor wouldn't allow me to connect and don't intend to play any others now. I just want to finish the game I paid for and move on
@Ubi-Woofer communication on this issue (and many others) isn't good enough. Asking us for save files/screenshots/videos isn't acceptable. We paid for the game, we are not beta testers. I know you're not responsible for fixing the problem, but keep us updated.
Have the Devs found the issue? Are they able to fix it? Exactly when will it be fixed? Why has it taken so long? Why was the game released with so many game breaking bugs?
Openness and honesty is what I want from Ubisoft
After being stuck on the Honor's Hubris quest for a week, being unable to progress any further in the game I want to explore my options for requesting a refund.
I'm playing on Xbox One and purchased the standard digital edition of the game for £60 on the Microsoft Store.
This bug has stopped myself and many others from playing for upto 4 weeks and the only thing we've been told is it will be fixed in the next patch, with no date given as to when that will be.
The game has clearly been released in an unfinished state to coincide with the launch of next gen consoles, and the Honor's Hubris bug along with many other game breaking bugs in the main story has made it unplayable therefore not fit for purpose.
Please advise
@Ubi-Woofer it seems my point has been missed entirely. We shouldn't need to provide save files etc for a bug like this. A bug like this shouldn't exist in a game that is supposedly finished.
At this point the best thing that Ubisoft and the AC team can do (apart from getting the game breaking bugs fixed) is make an official apology. Unlikely though I suppose, as that would be admitting fault
Maybe we'll get more luck on Twitter. Companies tend to respond quicker on there, they don't want the bad publicity.
Not something I like to do but honestly, this is ridiculous
According to the known issues thread there are 28 quests that are bugged making it impossible to progress, many of them main story.
Unless by some miracle all are fixed in the coming patch I think many will still be disappointed that they'll have to wait even longer.
I think several are related to the same bug (dead NPC) so hopefully all of them will be fixed but at this point there's no way I can be convinced to buy another Ubisoft game at launch again
I asked for a formal public apology and they haven't even had the decency to do that CDPR have apologised that Cyberpunk doesn't run as well as expected especially on older base versions of consoles and offered refunds - the games only been out a few days
Take a leaf out of CFPRs book, Ubisoft. Or do you need to be getting a ton of bad publicity first?
Guessing this is the same as the Ljufvina bug. NPC's that are downed and not revived before the end of a quest will stay dead making it impossible to interact with them later in the game, meaning if they are required to start a main story quest you're stuck and can't progress.
Ubisoft have been aware of this for over a month and have still not fixed it. Waiting for next patch some time in mid December
Take a look at the thread for Honor's Hubris. If the bug isn't fixed in the upcoming patch good luck continuing the game before mid January.
I'd also reccomend not completing any other quest while you wait such as killing order members/zealots and handing in medallions as there is a bug that seems make The Father not spawn if it's done out of sequence to the main story
