Quick stats on just this thread
And considering the prioritization of adding cats and Easter eggs instead of literal game breaking bugs from the Ubisoft dev team, if I was a support team member, I would be too embarrassed to comment too.
I hope everyone affected by this remembers that next time an Ubisoft game is released, that the only way we can show them this is unacceptable is by voting with our wallets. This is nothing short of [censored] theft.
Its funny to watch how support manipulate with their words. When they talking:"You can ask for refund, but make sure u read our policy"They perfectly understanding that if u have more then 2 hours of gameplay and after so long period since purchase nobody will return your money. But look we are so nice ready to help you.
This is the main gripe I have on this forum. The choice of words the support staff use and the gleeful tone while they are telling you to eat the D is nauseating. Problems we present are not directly addressed and then we are threatened because we are becoming irate after waiting 5 months. Just shows how compartmentalized and disconnected they really are.
Imagine if this was a store front where you could physically speak to someone about the broken item you purchased and they just told you to keep coming back to the store for 5 months. No new information at all after 5 months other than, 'next time we fix things, it will be fixed then. Don't know when that will be so keep coming back to check'. Imagine if the store owner then threaten to kick you out and ban you from coming back because after wasting you time to check in and request support, the frustration of being spoken to like a child and lack of information resulted in you swearing in the store.
Would you walk out of the store with the store owner still standing on their own two feet?
The whole thing is a farce. I won't be buying any Ubisoft game from this point on. Sincerely hope all affected do the same.
Away from this forum, I am spreading the word and am also claiming through Australian consumer rights (which protects the consumer first and foremost) so will have my money refunded soon.
Thank you for your understanding and compliance.
Thank you Ubisoft for stealing my money and go and get [censored].
@maxxsinner - My colleague @Ubi-Borealis has provided this information for any players who are eligible; I apologise if you, as someone not eligible, find this inappropriate.
@ubi-woofer - I understand that @Ubi-Borealis has provided this for players that are eligible. But as stated - no one in this thread could be eligible by your own terms and conditions so please do explain to me why it was relevant to post it?
We are all doing our best to provide as much relevant information as possible at this time. As I stated above, we are being as transparent about this issue as we can. There are no confirmed dates for the fix for this issue yet, however, as soon as we have that confirmed, we will communicate here in this thread and via the related patch notes in the News & Announcements section. Please keep an eye out in this thread and in that section for the latest announcements.
To reiterate my previous post, I understand that the support team cannot give us any more information. You can only tell us what you are being told and are no doubt frustrated by the impotence. Now if you could please let me know where my frustrations should be directed, it would be appreciated.
I have a broken game that I paid good money for 5 months ago, of which I have been unable to play for 4 months. My level of understanding and patience is running very thin, as is many in this thread and I have literally no avenue of recourse.
This stopped being about the game and became more about Ubisoft's disdain for it's customers a long time ago.
When we see devs working on petty updates involving cats and hunting for Easter eggs rather than fixing broken software, it's plain to see where the priority lays.
Finally, regarding submitting a support case - are you also unable to use Live Chat when that is available in your region? Due to COVID-19, we made changes to our support availability, but you should be able to use this method of contact to bring up any issue you need to. Thank you.
As stated earlier in this thread, there is no option for me to submit a support request. No chat and no email option for anything to do with AC Valhalla unless its regarding subscription. Don't know if Australia's support team has been completely disbanded, but in the past 4 months there has never been an option for me to submit a support ticket.
Now that the ire in this thread has got the support team trying to calm people down, let me ask - do you think our angst is unjust?
How long do you think we should wait for this to be fixed? 6 months? A year?
Your response is just another 'Please calmly wait. We will fix it sometime soon'. Talking loud and saying nothing.
From everything I have read, this stems back to a glitch with the upgrading the seers hut in Ravensthorpe. Only way to fix it so far is to load an old saved game from around Level 3 in Ravensthorpe and try to get the seers quest to work. Obviously this means around 20hrs of lost game time and if you're like me saving over old saves, chances are you will be all but starting the game from scratch.
Disappointed that quality games are a thing of the past. Companies like Ubisoft that charge top dollar for titles that have major flaws like constant game crashes, corrupt save game files and major quest bugs only keep getting away with it because we keep paying. Need to let them know that we expect better and the only way is to vote with our wallets.
Can see why this wasn't sold on Steam. Would be refunds everywhere.
And here come the bans.
Wish I could have seen the original post before it was adjusted by the overlords.
November 17th 2020 - 23rd April 2021.
157 Days since this bug was raised.
157 days can be converted to one of these units:
Beyond pathetic Ubisoft.
I'm pleased to say that the development team have notified us that a fix for the persisting issues in "A Brewing Storm" is now scheduled for release in a future update.
Interesting that the known issues thread was updated the same day as @Ubi-Woofer post, but the known issues still states the this bug is still under investigation.
I mean, I am not actually surprised that the left hand doesn't know what the right one is doing at Ubisoft.
This is getting more entertaining than the game itself!
265 days into this absolute [censored] show, so only 100 to go until the one year anniversary of what must be the most complicated bug in history!!
Let's go boys!
From and including: Friday, 13 November 2020
To and including: Wednesday, 8 September 2021
It is 300 days from the start date to the end date, end date included.
Or 9 months, 27 days including the end date.
300 days can be converted to one of these units:
300 days to fix a main mission, game stopping bug.
Absolutely pathetic Ubisoft.
@maxxsinner - I'm sorry to hear that you've had trouble opening a support ticket. I'd recommend checking your regional opening times to ensure that the chat is currently open. Have you been able to successfully open a case yet?
@Ubi-Borealis - I understand your choice of words as this is your job and deescalation is par for the the course.
But as I have spent my hard earned money on this game, semantics is important.
No doubt you understand that if you pay for something, you expect it to work.
If it doesn't work, you expect after sales support.
I have tried to open a support ticket when the issue first arose back in November 2020 and was unable to do so.
I have tried on various days of the week and been unable to do so.
I have tried at various times thought the day and night and been unable to do so.
As I stated previously, I am not having trouble opening a support ticket.
It is impossible for me to open a support ticket.
Your earlier response was for me to reach tech support via Twitter or Facebook.
A company the size of Ubisoft and the best way of getting help is via social media, not Ubisofts own website????
Ridiculous and simply not good enough.
And to be clear, I hope it's obvious that this is not directed at you personally.
The game has been released flawed, with a plethora of bugs and game breaking problems. Support is non existent.
3 months plus into this issue and literally zero response other than 'please send us your data' which in my case is not able to be done. When the subject of refund was brought up by someone, it was 'go ahead. ask for a refund', knowing full well that none of us would fit the criteria when we have put 80 plus hours into the game to find it's broken. In no other circumstance would the only avenue of recourse for a purchased item that was broken or defective be, 'just wait, we'll fix it eventually'.
Just hope this is a wake up call for other gamers.
No need to reply. I refuse to waste any more time on it.
Here we go again... 5 months since this game breaking bug was reported and still the only response is - it will be fixed one day in the future.
Over 27,750 views to this thread alone. This issue is wide spread and it seems like Ubisoft are not even seeing the need to do damage control.
@Ubi-Borealis - I find it very disingenuous that you have said that we are welcome to open a support ticket for a refund knowing full well that NONE of us would fit the refund policy criteria. Simply playing the game long enough to find this bug means that we no longer fit the refund criteria.
You can request a refund for a digital order within 14 days of your purchase, as long as the content has not been launched.
Again, I understand that you are a member of the support team and not the dev team, but you are employed to be the voice for Ubisoft so the frustration of the constant dismissal and lack of transparency is going to be directed towards you and the other support team members, as we have no other choice. Feel free to direct us to the people who should be receiving this angst and I am sure the mob of pitchforks and torches will be redirected immediately.
Until then your post provides nothing but lip service and is just more fuel to add the anti-Ubisoft sentiment.
As I have stated before, this is nothing but down right [censored] theft. No other item could be purchased without recourse when it does not work as intended.
They ask for a update from ubisoft and get “ next update” and know they gonna get angry players.
@victoruchiha82 Totally agree with this - the support team are getting no information to share with us and have to cop the wrath of disgruntled customers.
And this is the problem with compartmentalized departments in companies this big.
The dev team feels little to no pressure other than feedback they get from the support team, which they can choose to ignore without consequence.
Meanwhile the dev team gets pressure from the top brass to produce extra ways of making more money.
In my case - I am in Australia and cannot create a support ticket for bugs in this game. At all. In fact, I cannot create a support ticket for anything other than subscription problems
If it's not hurting the bottom dollar, they don't care to know about it. I've said it before - only way to show this is unacceptable is by not purchasing and Ubisoft game again.
Otherwise, we are just affirming that this way of releasing games with game breaking bugs that take months to fix is A-OK.

While we do appreciate you continuing to share your experience with other players, repeating similar posts in an almost identical format is no longer adding additional information to the thread or helping us to investigate the issue.
Seeing as the support forums are the only avenue of recourse available to me, how would you like me to voice my frustration?
Or would you like me to be a good boy and sit in the corner until I'm told it's ok to come out?
I was told to post my experiences with "A brewing storm" within this thread. My experience month on month is that nothing has changed and my posts reflect that.
Would you prefer a "Yep, still broken" every month instead?
We would prefer to keep the thread focused on the issue and, while waiting for additional information from the development team, not take it too far off-topic. Your posts which serve only to document the length of time the issue has been going on may be classed as spam if they continue in the same format, so I just wanted to give you a friendly heads-up on that.
Explain to me how documenting how long it has taken Ubisoft to repair a game breaking bug is off topic? It is literal metadata of the topic.
And thank you for the friendly heads-up. If you could point me to the thread where I can safely vent about waiting 3/4 of a year to be able to play your game without fear of reprisal from the overlords, it would be appreciated.
The posts that I would classify as off topic are the ones where I have to respond to support staff addressing me directly.
I fully appreciate that this is a long-standing issue, and we'll keep everyone updated here with the latest news as we receive it. To that end, we would also appreciate it if you could limit your replies to any new information that may be helpful to us or the team, to make sure the latest updates we provide are visible for players to find. Thank you!
So in the simplest terms, you are asking me to refrain from posting on this thread regarding the impotence of the support team other than their ability to hold a finger over the ban button and the utter disdain Ubisoft is showing their customers? Just stick to the topic of how my game doesn't work?
Talk about exemplifying my point.
I'm pleased to say that the development team have notified us that a fix for the persisting issues in "A Brewing Storm" is now scheduled for release in a future update.
That is great to hear and appreciate the update. But I won't celebrate too early as the last fix didn't fix it.
The exact release date and patch number are not yet confirmed, however as soon as we have these details available to us we will share them here in this megathread and through updates to the Known Issues list.
So we just need to wait. No problems there. Have had plenty of practice.
I know that this issue has been ongoing for some time now, and I hope that the next patch will resolve any lingering issues that any of you may be having with this quest. If you have any questions, concerns or feedback to share with us in the meantime, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Going on for some time you say? Let's check how much time...
From and including: Friday, 13 November 2020
To and including: Thursday, 29 July 2021
It is 259 days from the start date to the end date, end date included.
Or 8 months, 17 days including the end date.
Can the fix be held of for 107 more days? To round it off to a year would be fitting.
@maxxsinner - I have seen that you frequently update this thread with your accounts of your continued experiences with these issues, and would just like to ask that you refrain from duplicating posts or making posts that may be perceived as spam. We are committed to updating affected players here in the thread and will continue to do so, so please watch out for those updates. Thank you.
@Ubi-Woofer - Please explain where I have duplicated posts or have posted information that could be perceived as spam? All of my posts have been regarding how long it has taken Ubisoft to fix a game breaking bug and direct responses to support team updates. From an earlier support post -
I welcome you to continue sharing your experiences and feedback regarding "A Brewing Storm" within this thread. The player support team will continue working with you all to try and get this issue resolved.
So I am sharing my experience - Games broken. Can't play it. Still waiting.
If it looks like I am duplicating posts, it's probably because nothing has changed since November 2020 for me.
Games broken.
Can't play it.
Still waiting.
Thanks for the update.
@ubi-borealis
Has Ubisoft got any celebration plans for the upcoming 1 year anniversary?
Just over 100 days to go!

It is 236 days from the start date to the end date, end date included.

236 days in to a game breaking bug and we are still getting the auto response of - 'don't know when it will be fixed. Just keep coming back to check.'
@liahim13 News and announcements state that 1.3.0 will be released in late summer with 'A brewing storm' listed as still under investigation.
If it is addressed at all, I would speculate that November would be the earliest we would see anything.
Hello there,
Thank you for continuing to update this thread with your experiences with "A Brewing Storm,"
Not being able to play a game I paid good money I guess could be called an experience, but ...
and for sharing your feedback regarding this quest and the ongoing investigation. I'm sorry to hear that some of you are still encountering trouble with this quest following the release of TU 1.2.1,
Not having any trouble really. Game doesn't work. Starting to think it's by design.
and I apologise for any disappointment that has been caused by this.
I am sure you must be distraught with grief. I am sorry Ubisoft put you in this position.
Rest assured that the development team are still investigating this issue further. We are regularly checking in on the investigation, and we have forwarded all reports that have been shared with us for use in the reopened investigation. We have also shared your feedback with the dedicated teams.
Oh thank god. I will sleep better tonight knowing this.
Please note that the player support team are unable to share unconfirmed details from the investigations, such as details regarding fixes, or providing ETAs when there are none.
No ETA's. Gotcha. Not entirely shocked. Haven't been let down there.
Once we have any new information to share from the investigation, we try our best to update you all as soon as we're able to. This information will be shared within this thread, or within the News & Announcements forum.
I will dread the day I have no longer have a need to reply on this forum. Tears will be shed. Tears.
I welcome you to continue sharing your experiences and feedback regarding "A Brewing Storm" within this thread. The player support team will continue working with you all to try and get this issue resolved.
Rest assured I will continue to post.
Thank you![]()
Thank Ubisoft for their incredible incompetence and apathy to their customer base.
@liahim13 I have no doubt that this bug will be go unfixed well into 2022. To describe Ubisoft as pathetic is understating just how bad the company has become.
Thank you Ubi-Borealis. Rest assured that I feel no disappointment that the issue was not rectified in this update.
Not even the slightest amount of shock that the crack team of investigators haven't found a solution.
No expectations = zero disappointment
In fact I find it quite humorous. It's like an on going joke.
You and I will be on a first name basis by the time this is fixed. If I live that long.

Should someone contact Guinness cause this has to be a world record.
Yep - still not fixed here either.
Congratulations to Ubisoft for hitting the 6 month mark!
And considering how dead this thread has become, I am betting there is no point in checking for updates.
