Every item I collect, be it loot drops or letters I read or chests I open, triggers the "new quest added" sound and graphic, often to avenge a player who died nearby. The sound that normally plays when you loot does not play. If I collect several loot drops in quick succession, it will say "multiple quests added". These "quests" do not show up in the quest log.

Weirdest thing I've ever seen. This started happening about three weeks ago, shortly after going to Francia.

250+ hours played here. Suddenly, the game refuses to go past the splash screen before the game actually boots up. The splash screen just disappears 90% of the time, and that's that. Last attempt I got to the epilepsy warning, after which the game crashes, taking Chrome with it somehow.

I have tried:

• updating Windows (had a pending update)
• updating Nvidia graphics drivers
• verifying game files

My last option is to uninstall the game and download the whole 100ish GB again. Whoop-de-doo.

So I redownloaded the entire game, makes no difference. The game will not start.

@williamniira I'd be more inclined to do these quests if the person you've avenged was at least notified you've avenged their deaths, and maybe got a little video montage of you killing those dudes. Right now, I don't even know why these quests exist. They surely don't add anything to the "social" aspect of a single player game.

Same issue today. Queen just walks back into the cave after completing the quest, and stays there. I cannot proceed. Trying the rebel quest workaround now.
