What was so hard about adding Steam Achievements? You managed to do it for Origins and Odyssey.
Do you have any idea how many people are NOT buying the game because of that @ubisoft? Maybe read a forum from time to time and listen to your fanbase.
Dumb move.
@teh_greg It's the lack of Steam functionality that annoys me. Blatantly ignoring the key features that make the game worth buying in Steam. At the moment, purchasing the game through Steam is completely pointless because it's essentially just a link to Ubisoft's launcher, so might as well buy from Ubisoft, which a lot of people didn't want to do.
Achievements don't mean a lot to some gamers, but I use them for games like AC as a guide to exploration. Going back to AC1 and AC2, the achievements were a big help in directing me to parts of the map I wouldn't necessarily have found and bother heading to.
It's complete laziness and frustrating that Ubisoft care so little for their PC gaming community that they couldn't be bothered, they'd rather try and force users to use their mediocre own system.
@Pierre_Diem 100% agree. The game is getting review bombed over it because Ubisoft have been deleting forum discussions asking for achievements. It makes absolutely no sense, Steam provide an exceptionally easy way to implement achievements, but Ubisoft still ignore.
On the upside, it's getting A LOT of negative feedback on Steam
Doesn't look we're getting them ever. Ubisoft support replied to me on Twitter to say the Valhalla wasn't compatible, which is a complete lie. If every other developer can do it than so can Ubisoft. They choose not to because they have no care for their PC customers at all.

AGREED! I'd buy every AC game on steam if the achievements were there. I only buy games on Steam.
