The article mentioned by Kean was on PC Gamer, from today. With a title of "Ubisoft VP says players 'don't get' NFTs , but can't explain what there is to get."
Just about sums it up nicely, as did Kean's last sentence.
If Ubisoft isn't willing to change the way they operate after all the years of direct (and unfiltered) feedback, it's all really a moot point, imo.
So, when does the company plan on announcing this major issue affecting the community and what's being done to resolve whatever is the latest issue?
If you happen to still try to play Breakpoint (when Ubisoft isn't messing up the servers) and use the PC AND aware of Vahndaar's Spartan mod - he's been busy:
Over on Nexus:
"This mod disables things like pickup flashing, grenade and incoming impact shaders and allows full customisation of HUD icons including key bindings for toggling icons in-game without needing to go into menus."
So if you're interested, check it out:

As mentioned, that a community-involved program (granted with its flaws as to how it was originally setup, etc) is being axed, versus re-vamped, should make us all suspicious for what the future holds.
BTW, no announcement of any kind in the appropriate forum either.
My bottom-line - Ubisoft is a company which continues to have many, many internal issues. This news simply re-confirms it for me.
We've all been there I'm sure. You land a helo in the open, safely, no other nearby object not already placed. Go off a bit of distance to do some in-game business, but not far enough for de-spawning to take place; return, and behold:
Some meaningless and useless in-game object has been dumped at the same location based on some unknown coding algorithm.
This results in:
when attempting to launch - in the vain hope that those blades aren't really going to collide with that object which wasn't there upon landing.
Again, thanks Ubisoft, nice work ...
However promotions should be opening up ...

IMO it's indeed currently a sad state of affairs, especially for the franchise as well as this "official" forum.
@bigrexxx - "There's already a new game being developed, and it could be revealed as early as this summer."
When did Ubisoft make that announcement?
Folks are posting gaming-industry rumors/leaks on the subject AFAIK.
More of a PSA - another presentation on the recent subject of the past two, three days. The narration goes beyond the title, starting around the 8:30 mark. Material we've all read and heard about previously.

Unfortunately launcher parts are random drops in the game world. To better increase your chances I suggest:
Equip the MGL as your secondary weapon.
Play as either Engineer or Pathfinder.
Loot convoys.
Access tactical caches. Best bet as Pathfinder class
Loot Support and Bagman NPCs . Note: even looting other NPCs can give you launcher parts in my experience(s).
As mentioned, that a community-involved program (granted with its flaws as to how it was originally setup, etc) is being axed, versus re-vamped, should make us all suspicious for what the future holds.

SOP for Ubisoft; no info on what, if anything, they are doing to correct/fix the mess they created with the servers.
UPDATE: After ending the session for the night, the next start showed the binocs added to the inventory.
So I assume you must exit/re-start after Level 5 for the binocs to get added.
Perhaps someone recalls from one of the posts on the old forum (now deleted thanks to Ubisoft) on the subject of skipping Errorhon completely (i.e., abandon the intro mission); the following:
Shouldn't the binoculars become available in the inventory once the character reaches Level 5?
Got the recon drone at 5, plus the water canteen also became available to be be picked up. This is with IM, not GS.
However now at Level 9 and no binoculars. Wonder if Ubisoft perhaps changed the coding at some point; again if I'm remembering correctly from those earlier posts that were discussing skipping Errorhon - which I believe was after IM introduction in March 2020.

this snip:
"The cash Guillemot waived constitutes his “annual variable compensation,” or a bonus percentage of his regular salary that fluctuates according to performance conditions like sales and quality of life at Ubisoft. Guillemot was entitled to 53.1% of this “fixed compensation” for fiscal year 2021 but will instead take home only €624,824 (or around $657,000 USD). Here’s hoping he can survive on that pittance." (my emphasise)
Hey Ubisoft -
The company continues to disappoint - after two days of have having on-line access, it's disappeared again today (the 23rd) for me out here on the west coast, U.S.A.
Just another example of the lack of effort being undertaken by the company.

Just is case it's not known - Wildlands can be played solo in off-line mode. Naturally that eliminates co-op/PvP and daily challenges unfortunately.

Given the stats got reset to zero back on 12 May when the servers went "belly up" (for whatever reasons) I think it's safe to assume that after all this time Ubisoft has no intention whatsoever in re-setting the stats back to what the whole community had prior to that date.
CS refuses to answer that most simple of a question BTW - yes or no.

Yup; the two dudes from the opening (the only survivors from their chalk).
