I don't know what it means either tbh. I just remembered weeks ago people were either translating runes (or talking about the meaning of Odin's rune specifically) and saying something about running naked through a field at night lol Also about spinning in circles. Maybe it was in an Odin poem or something.
Anyway, that's what I did yesterday before I carried the rock to the rune. And then the rune camouflaged it : /
I remember throwing rocks at the runes before but I either didn't notice the camouflage or nothing happened. Yesterday I was looking into the Cairns being a clue due to their locations and I wanted to try to stack some rocks on the rune. On my way to get a rock, I got inspired and ran naked through a field at night xD
I got a better video tonight of the rock phenomenon than my previous one. Even if it's a weird glitch, I'm kind of having fun playing with the runes lol At least they're reacting and doing "something" for a change : / Runes 1 and 3

"Sir, we received complaints regarding a reward, or lack thereof, I should say."
"Tell you what, we'll sell them Reda's scarf in our Helix store as a reward."
"Should we make it shiny and glowy and ugly and say it's Isu?"
"Obviously."
I know how you feel. I'm rolling with 4 manual save files (updating like every hour) crawling at a snail's pace to avoid these awful bugs. I've never had anxiety playing a game before.
If I hear them drop the she-bomb on my male Eivor I might riot. Give us one person or make them separate people. Twins/siblings with one dead at childbirth... Animus glitch sci-fi babble zapping one into oblivion... whatever. We don't care.
I think the main story quest waits forever when there isn't anything active going on. I always leave it for last and it never broke for me even after days of hunting and looting and exploring and doing basically nothing.
I wouldn't take my chances with side activities though in this glitchy game. I either complete them once I start them or make a manual save file before triggering them in case I change my mind in the middle of it and don't want to finish it. Reload save file and leave it for when I'm ready to see it through.

You are doing God's work.
I had it so bad it even rained indoors for me. Like... inside houses. No joke.
But I can also confirm that bringing the dead body down the mountain to the camp stopped the rain for me as well. I can't thank you enough!!
Yeah, there's a way. But it's dependent upon us (the players) how challenging we want to make it, not the game mechanics which we can't change at the moment.
We can reset our all our skills, equip our peasant starting outfit from Norway, (haven't tried it so don't know if we can unequip weapons?) and go bare handed, without special skills though even fully upgraded weapons will be limited to basic combat so that should still present a challenge. We can also self impose a permadeath rule. You died? Game over. Start back in Norway.
So yeah, we can create our own Nightmare mode where enemy levels don't mean a thing.
I appreciate being given a gender choice as playing a female character can be more immersive for me but it really depends on the game. I don't see game characters as "me" so I don't always choose the female. What's more immersive for me than a character's gender, is a well written character that not only fits the theme but that I actually like.
Granted, it's annoying hearing them call male Eivor a "she" but come on... it's not game breaking. If they don't fix it, we can always attribute the she-bombs to some bs "Animus glitch". Do you like him as a character? That's what's most important.
I picked male Eivor because I wanted to turn him into a ginger beast with a glorious Viking beard (like his voice actor Magnus Bruun). Cannon be dammed. I really like my male Eivor.

lol You'll see my Eivor fumbling and the rock rolling off but the rock was being camouflaged by the rune even while he's holding it.
I don't have enough storage on my USB for a video so I had to shoot it old school with my phone *sigh* It's still processing on youtube now.
I don't know if this has anything to do with it but here's exactly what I did:
I found a spot in Glowe that seemed to suggest I run naked through a field at night (I remember someone here saying they read that on a rune?) so I stripped Eivor, meditated until nighttime and ran to the north Carin in Glowe. I got dressed and grabbed a rock.
I placed the rock on the rune and meditated again to turn to daytime.
I hope you guys can duplicate it and it's not a glitch. I ran naked through a field for this....
@tchester1980
Well the good news is tonight I loaded an earlier save (before I took off running, spun in circles, and danced naked in a field at night like a lunatic) and went straight for the magical rock. The rune still camouflaged it. The naked dancing is not needed. I mean... you can still do it if you want to with your Eivor's smile on her face. No judgement here. None.

For me, it was Odin in that loading screen. I still have no idea how I got through it. I think the game just gave up and went to the cutscene on its own xD
Basim was a little annoying at first until I figured out I had to stun him but thankfully I did so pretty early.
Hi
if you haven't done so already, try speaking with Hythem and see if that triggers Wincestre for you.
When I was at this stage, I never got a prompt to report to Hythem but I went to him for Codex pages and he wound up giving me Wincestre so I triggered it by accident. Hope this works for you!
No it's not intentional, it's a bug from the Idunn Heart skill and it can happen when equipping any armor.
To stop glowing, talk to a NPC as suggested above or unequip an item and equip it again.
I only got that one automated pity hire that we all get when I first built the barracks.
Hi
Have you tried speaking with Hythem?
I only ask because I never got a prompt to report to Hythem when I had Wincestre and Hamtunscire left (I'm also on the PS4)
I went to Hythem for codex pages and he and Eivor spoke about Wincestre on their own. So I triggered it by accident. Hopefully speaking with him will trigger Randvi to give you Wincestre. Good luck and hope this works!
Meh. Our community here figured out dragons were coming months ago in our Odin's Rune thread so I remain... unmoved.
Like @thesmio said, it's only a matter of time before we have to run around in circles to translate "Reda is in both Origins and Valhalla" xD
@ubi-froggard
Since it's a bug, here's the video from the other thread (if needed)

I saw another horse vendor leave her stable to take another job
I followed her from the stable in Snotingham all the way to the stable in Lincolnscire. Maybe the original Lincoln horse vendor switched careers and became a rune vendor?
It's hilarious but apparently the vendors have lives. I don't think it's a glitch because we can still interact with them while they're walking and switch mounts and birds...
