Hello -
This past Thursday, 3-18-2021, the just released patch for AC Valhalla was pushed down to my computer. Once it was installed, I started to play the game. While the patch was downloading, I did nothing on the PC until it was done downloading and installing.
The First problem occurred when Valhalla's startup screen came on. Instead of going full screen (like it is supposed to), it kept itself in a small window. To get to go full screen, I have to do a CTRL-Alt-Delete (since the launching kills my mouse). Once I select Task Manager, the mouse starts to work and I Right-Click my mouse on the Valhalla window that is on the Task Bar and select Maximize. Once I am in the game, the game plays OK for about 5 minutes. Then, the game comes to a dead crawl. It is unplayable. The only I found yesterday (3-18-2021) that worked to clear up the slowing is to exit out of the game to the desktop. I then re-launch it and go through all the above steps to get the game full screen and play for a few minutes. So after doing this 5 times, I just stopped playing.
Today, Friday 3-19-2021, I ran the GeForce Experience and updated the "GeForce Game Ready Driver" thinking that might fix the issue. It did NOT!
So, I exited out of Valhalla and launched Odyssey. Odyssey launched like is supposed to, full screen, and played with no issue what so ever.
I then exited out of Odyssey and launched Valhalla. Same garbage! WILL NOT open in FULL SCREEN. Plays for about 5 minutes and then just SLOWS DOWN to a point where it is UNPLAYABLE!
My machine is an Intel i7 Extreme Edition what a GeForce GTX980 and a 1tb SSD drive.
Again, all this is caused by the Valhalla update that was pushed down yesterday, 3-18-2021.
Is there a way to remove your update?
Thank you for any and all assistance on this issue.
