I really hate the direction the games been going.
It is double dumb. Here is why:
You give the Pirate everything in her kit, fine. Whatever. She isnt that OP in her basic moveset. Feats are a lil overtuned, whatever. The problem with her is the recovery timing is nuts [shouldnt be that quick on anyone including Orochi], the hit box on her attacks makes those wide armored heavy finishers practically undodgeable, & she can put you in an infinite cut scene in a gank. You literally get stun locked & cannot move if 2 Pirates or a Pirate & another char with enough stun lock gank you. Put the controller down cuz all you can do is watch your chararacter melt. So much fun Ubi!
The other thing is, [censored] do the old chars get?! I cant even DODGE after the gun shot before she can attack again & stun lock me again cuz almost all the original characters cant cancel recovery timings with dodge. If you are gonna give recovery cancels to dodge WHICH IN THEORY IS FINE.... give it to EvErYoNe!! How hard is it to unserstand that BALANCE means you need to EVEN out at LEAST the basic fundamental combat systems in the game?! If you are gonna disadvantage some chars like heavies with less mobility [outside of Shugo ... id love to meet the genius that thought the fattest char should be fast af], they have to have advantages in other areas which heavies do.
You need to even the cast of characters out & not that ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC rework yall had Conq using in Testing Grounds. Janky animations I hope he gets a LOT more work before going live cuz I will quit this mf real quick lol. Hire a real project manager or someone with creative oversight that actually plays the game. All it takes is a couple hours online with each character. Hop on PS4 we will cheeseball you into rage quitting real quick. You will find all exploits.
Im starting to lose hope for this game tbh..... i havent played any other game consistently since FH came out but the devs make such stupid decision.
A feintable bash for Conq? Infinite fast lights & infinite UNBLOCKABLE chain heavies? Charge unblockable still? NO STAMINA DRAIN IN ALL GUARD?
How can he be punished? He cant. He will be a God tier character. You dodge attack to evade his chain bash (so he cant feint to fkn GB ) & he cancels recovery into all guard & starts his ENTIRE COMBO SYSTEM AGAIN.
Bruh....... how do ppl keep repeatedly make these [censored] poor decisions? I just dont understand it. I want to stay for the Egyptian Outlander (it better be a GOD DAMN assassin I swear to Christ) but I might not survive the Conq release my boys.
It might be time for a new game for me. Pirates are sooooo frustrating & Conqs lookin like he might be worse.
The dodge recovery cancels should be removed.
The forward dodge heavy should either be unblockable ooorrrrrrr hyperarmored. NOT BOTH!
Reduce the tracking on the side combo heavies & side dodge heavies, because they are practically undodgeables without the blue trail indicator.
This would fix the char.
To be honest healing feats should NOT cleanse bleed or fire dmg.
Heal feats should heal the given amount & bleed or fire dmg should continue to do their dmg.
Plz make Gryphon's hyper armor activate immediately in his finisher heavies. Give him the Raider treatment. He needs a lil love since his last nerf.
I know alotta chars need some quality of life updates but hopefully it comes soon! Game will go down the tubes if you wsit AN ENTIRE SEASON to drop stuff like the Shinobi rework.
If you dont want your game to die you gotta update on a better schedule!

You play against Orochi on an old a$s ps4 & get storm rush spammed & see how you do. I dont know you but id put $100 i got Orochi homies that smoke you rn.
Like Orochi, the main issue with Pirate is the recovery timing cancels.
Playing a character that doesnt have an all guard to instantly go into or dodge recovery time cancels basically makes FH a turn based game where IT IS NEVER YOUR TURN. This is the same issue with frame advantage on Warmonger & Gryphon upon release.
Its clear the devs dont play their own game. How can you expect new players to come in & want to stay & spend money if they are just going to get absolutely wrecked? I dodge with Tiandi & the Pirates wide heavies or shot or stab TRACKS the entire dodge animation.
The entiiiiiire community wants balance & new maps. No one gives a [censored] about new chars. There are nearly 30 chars to choose from. Ive been playing since beta, i am rep 824 overall, ive played 234 days in FH & spent probably close to $500 on this game.
I have 2 chars in top 20 on most PvP stats on FH tracker, I am friends with countless top character players, I have been involved in the clan & tourney scene for 4 years.
If your loyal players go, this game will die. Everyone i talk to says the same exact thing: if the game keeps getting balanced & new content, they will never stop playing. That also means they will continue to spend money.
I probably make more money at my job than most of the FH team. I have no problem spending money on FH... but if I cant play the heros I like & still be competitive then I will stop playing. The only reason I love fighting games so much is the competitive aspect.
Yiu are stuck in a space on the map in a team fight with a Conq in front of you..... he is locked on to your teammate behind you.... he is spamming unblockable (and unparriable) heavies in your face & melts your entire health bar. Nothing you can do, no option at all.... body blocked & stuck.

I dont understand how this God tier character is still allowed to operate in its current state? Shes straight easy mode.
Just take away her stupid dodge recoveries. Only assassins should have that property as they are speed / dodge based chars. Also up the stam cost for her skewer so that 50/50 combo cant get spammed until you are 100-0'ed.
Lastly reduce the radius of her side dodge heavy cuz its damn near undodgeable.
Shes still strong enough to be a top char after all these mentioned nerfs but she wouldnt feel oppressive to fight against.
@capafer sooo.... switch locking? Off-lock unblockables have been tech since the game started, nothing new. I watched the vid you posted from 8min to 9min marks & saw nothing you stated so you might want to know the time point to reference prior to dropping a vid.
If it isnt truly a bug & you are just bringin up the fact that non-locked on players will get caught in crossfire of a gank, then you wasted a lotta words cuz that'll never change.
Whats the alt solution? Be able to parry everything even if you arent being targeted? So ppl will get parried all the time, bring back turtle meta & have massive revenge feed? I dont think so lol. It is what it is, dont get caught in a bad position on the map.
@DarrowsHowlers i 2nd everything you said here... remove either the armor or the unblockable parameter from the forward dodge heavy & get rid of the dosge recovery cancels.

@DarrowsHowlers lol i was gonna say cuz to me all the PC players i run into are turtling parry Gods who just sit & wait for an attack to counter it.
Its literally the turtle meta that Ubi staff fought so hard to get away from with the CCU.
@Killer_IX bruh all you gotta do is light, heavy or bash him out of the storm rush... its easy af to interrupt.
I cant block or parry it at all so i stopped trying. Even on PS5 my eyes cant keep up, so i just get rdy to attack or bash when i see an Orochi jump back for the storm rush.
A light beats it out every time. You can get a heavy or bash if they are far enough away & you time it right.
No need to change the move as its eeeeeasily countered.
