how about not reseting the sheperd rank every season? not what i want the most but its one of those things that bothers me since forever , we can keep DZ rank , people GANKING solo players with 4 man teams , but we cant keep the sheperd one which can only be done HELPING other players, makes absolutely N.O S.E.N.S.E.
And would a limitless stash not make the situation even worse?
precisely this , OP is like children who want all the candy , and someone has to step in and explain that would do him much more harm than the tummy pain he is already complaining about.

had the usual dumb dumbs that get revived and kick you or disconnect , the ones that arent able to see or respond to a simple chat message and all the other less pleasant situations , but i also had a lot of thankful players who were more than happy to endorse me and whished they could do it more , teached a lot stuff , gave a lot of stuff , in general a very positive experience but one that carries no meaning other than my own sense of pride and achievement.
makes me sad UBISOFT and/or MASSIVE are too stubborn to realize that this Shepperding thing , which if you think about it is the total oposite of the the DZ rationale , is exactly what a game like this needs , people teaching and helping each other , not backstabbing and group raping each other forcing new players to get frustrated and uninstall the game.
i firmly believe a persistent rank and some minor rewards along the way would make a lot of people opt in to sheperd , even if out of boredom of having to run the same content again and again .
so i repeat , if a failed (IMO) concept that is the DZ where new (and old) players get frustrated , get ganked and backstabbed leading to quitting and overall player frustration has so many exclusive rewards , like exotics , gearsets, named items , commendations and so on , why cant this obviously beneficial mode to the game , where people get helped , learn and truly enjoy the game have some love too ? is it too much to ask to AT LEAST not reset the rank so people feel motivated to come back to it?
do you even have an idea of how hard this is to achieve? and that its the lack of some form of reward that drives people away from doing it? a simple persistent rank would be enough to suddenly have in game a ton of teachers to help all the new players , that cant surely be a negative thing.
think about it MASSIVE and UBISOFT ,you seem to be unable to recognize and give importance to what really matters , this wasnt easy to achieve , i dare saying it was harder than raiding , how many people have actualy reached 99 sheperd?
i did it like i said for myself , not for some prize or reward but also in the faint hope that someone over there DEVS /PUBLISHER would notice it and that could lead to some changes about it in the future because im not just asking for changes to something i dont know what im talking about and believe me when i say this is one of the many unexplored gold mines in this game.
now i will be off to cry in a corner because this will be only a lovely memory a couple of weeks from now after i get reset.

i guess you are too focused on the getting better stuff and improving it instead of just playing the game for fun and let all that come as a consequence.
if you are still missing 100 blueprints you are doing it wrong , you should have them all or almost all by now , the fun in the game when you get to the end game is going after all this stuff , that muffles a lot the pain of the repetition in the early stages , going after blueprints , hunters , commendations and all that sort of accolades.
this will naturaly bring you better gear along with resources to optimize it , but like this you are having fun while getting the stuff along the way , the way you are doing it is just looking too hard for something instead of having fun , that will burn you out.
also for mats you really want to create a couple more charachters for mules and extra mats , really pays off.
its really fun and makes me feel good to help others reaching their goals ,its a laughing stock when you get into a new player game doing the campaign and kill them all with just the tick of the vile mask along with the foam but i have a couple of caviats with this sheperding thing:
1 - the rank seasonal reset, why? it makes no sense to be able to keep the DZ rank , which is mostly gained via ganking other people , and not be able to keep the rank that says how helpful you are.
2 - make the double endordement be automatic , i prefer to spend more time with any given player and be sure ill receive my endorsement than to receive the automatic one and then having go after the player im helping asking constantly in the chat for him to endorse me just to see him run away like he has no chat or simply disconnect while not giving a F about it.
apart from this 2 things i really enjoy helping others and ill keep doing it , its just that it could be better in terms of rewarding our game time.
that is true , both points , most people do act that way , they just want their endorsement and couldnt care less about the player they are helping.
as for myself i never leave until i finished the one actvity where i got my endorsement , and even then i ask the player if he needs any more help, yesterday i spent more than 30 minutes , and after the endorsement , helping a player level up from 15 to 22 in story mode just because he asked me to do it , time i could have spent getting a couple more endorsements.
as for speed running its tough to sheperd slow when you one shot everything but i also usualy ask the player if im going to fast because i dont want to ruin their experience , most couldnt care less and are happy to plow through , others want to enjoy it a bit but those are rare from my experience , either way i always stop at any door or button or puzle and wait until the player figures it out by himself giving only a few pointers when needed.
@tcarlisle2012 i want the sheperd rank to never be reset and have new cool rewards for 50 /75/ 99 ranks.
heck make the rank infinite with no rewards , simple to do and the only outcome i see is a positive one, more incentive to help new and existing players for everyone , cant seriously see any downside to this.
this fits as QOL ? or is it just a shameless thread steal ?

As someone who doesn't have a regulus, I have some sympathy with this argument. However, it's probably a moot point as I don't see them adding a third raid.
not a moot point if we are talking about making stuff that already exists available to a wider , much wider , number of players.
what is moot is the carrot on the end of the stick that is the locked stuff that forces people who want it to RAID.
this has been discussed to death , sure , but just so we can again look at it from a perspective lets imagine any exotic in the game would only drop if playing on a group of 4 , forcing people to group up and play together until it happens, unthinkable that this would be a thing right? well... thats the RAID mechanic right there , and that one exists , now think.
i was talking about everything that is raid locked, and although the blueprints might drop on first run to actualy complete the regulus project you have to do the raid several times , not to mention the number of times you have to run to get the other exotics or even a decent chest or backpack to drop.
but having to do it many times isnt the problem , or the biggest one ,that is part of the game , RNG , the real problem is the first part , "7 more players with game knowledge , time and availability to be on at the same time".
awful sugestions , totaly biased towards PVP , not that isnt explict in the post title , but surely would have a big impact in PVE , again , and that is a NO NO NO NO NO NO....
how much more it will take before people realize the Division IS NOT A PVP GAME? its a square peg that MASSIVE insists in shoe horning into a circular hole , it doesnt fit , it doesnt work ,it ruins both , stooop it!
gearsets because of the pieces also locked behind raids , if we are trying to find a way to make all gear available to everyone in some way this pieces should also be included.
and things this days are only as complicated as you want them to be , cant care enough to find or figure out yourself? just resort to the usual click bait spoon fed youtuber for all the tutorials!
i say yes because i firmly believe there shouldnt be any unobtainable items for certains players , like the RAID stuff , for players who dont raid, those gears should have an alternative way to be obtained , AKA the project , it should be hard AF , yes , but it should be an option for people who just cant have the time or the luxury of having 7 more friends available to RAID at any given time.
and as such i also believe it should be retroactive to already existing exotics and gearsets.
what makes a lot of diference are the alt toons , i only have two alts that work as mules and the fourth is the hardcore guy, but even with only two alts i cant spend all the resources fast enough , im always full of SHD points to convert into whatever i need .
granted i play a bit more than the usual gamer but when you can turn a point into 3 , or 4 if i ditched the hardcore guy , it all becomes noticeably easier.
i only had sucess running striker as a cover build , 6 reds , i mean the increase in ROF and handling cries cover gear set , i think people are too stuck on the DIV1 striker which was a run and gun one and dont realize this was done to be the exact oposite , same as all other famous items from 1 that got carried into 2.
