Same here, same error (30010001). Sort your connection problems out UBI!
Edit: not a connection issue as others have pointed out.
I too was pretty disappointed with the barbarian hordes they decided the Picts were. It's a good point about so much effort going into the Irish language stuff but not the Skye part, though I guess it wasn't on the same scale as the Irish DLC.
I was also supposed to find brochs so far south lol. The best examples you'll find are, ironically, just over the water from Skye I'd visited that a lot a long time ago and looking at the pics now, I don't think it's far off the model they've used.

@spirantcrayon22 I really liked Unity too, though I did come to it quite late, so missed most of the worst bugs. Played it around the time Syndicate came out, then played that when Origins came out etc, up till Valhalla which I got straight away.
Worst experience of Unity was really enjoying the story, then searching google for something about the game and among the results was a video where the search image had in huge letters spoiler Gee thanks, internet.
Hi, I had this issue, probably around when this thread was created. Travelled round every single area, no daily quest at all.
Sometimes it happens and the next one you travel to will have it, but that time it just wasn't there at all. Today I'm getting the same, at least I've been round a dozen areas and nothing is appearing, so I'm assuming it's the same issue.
PC in the UK, usually updates at 2pm, I logged in just after 3.
@thenorfolkian Now you can suck people dry just like Ubisoft!
I really don't get the ship parts. FIVE components to decorate the worst ship ever in AC history|? Then there's the curious way you get 4 of a set in-game but would have to buy the last one? (Adrestia, Jackdaw). Hey Ubi, maybe you could add 60 new carved paddles for the rowboats in the next DLC, then you could make acquiring sets even more impossible!
What else? Oh yeah, how about an circus assault course for the town? Then you could literally make us jump through hoops for a tiny reward each week.
On the positive side, at least I had enough opals to grab the dragons/wyverns when they appeared magically, randomly, together
@metallo75 We've got the weapon for free, or at least this is what happened to me last week...
Bought 3 random jars
Next one gave the 30010001 error like last week, couldn't buy any more.
Restarted the game
Message appears saying the weapon is now mine, but I had to go to the store to claim it, right at the end of the the owned items list
Random jars working again
@spirantcrayon22 I was trying to remember where that was, thanks, I'll give it a go.
@spirantcrayon22 It would be great if that hull wasn't just cosmetic! It would be useful against that guy in his seemingly concrete rowboat that blocks the path to the bandit camp in the marshes every other day
Congrats on your 1000th post!
@metallo75 Hi again, got an explanation for this. The same happened again to me this week, same error, then restarted and got the message that a weapon had been unlocked, but this time it was Typhon's Axe (again from the Tartaros set I guess?). So it was just coincidence that I'd got Cerberos's Charge last week from the random jars.
Random jars are the way to go, As well as that I got Dionysus's Tears (dagger) today. Most weeks you'll get 2 on average for 180 orichalcum. I only have 6 weapons to go now, then I can retire to Korfu
So the original issue here still exists, but can be worked around if you get it randomly.
@metallo75 It happened pretty much as described above. Maybe something went wrong half way through a random jar and that's why I got it, but there was a definite message about claiming when I logged back in. Very strange. Maybe @Ubi-Thrupney can clarify this?

@la_frankie No sale here either. I thought I'd wait and see what it was like and although some of it looks interesting, it's not "throw another pile of money at it" interesting.
Same reasons as yourself, it's just another standalone mushroom trip, which I didn't enjoy as much as the main game. Too much Marvel Thor movies influence visually and as someone said above, not a patch on the Odyssey legendary side of things.
Aside from the obvious Reda insult, I was very disappointed to see the extra layer of pointless gear upgrade/farming involved, which would have to be done to all the main game gear that didn't come from Reda/shop. Which of course can be hastened by buying more from the shop, so no thanks.
I'll still play it a bit for a while as it's still enjoyable when it isn't crashing but a definite no for Ragnarok. The one good thing is that there isn't any "outer story" stuff added, so nothing missed there.
I'll still talk to Reda, but only in Egypt

@la_frankie No pre-order for me, that's for sure. I'll be waiting to see the feedback on it. Not keen on the direction of this one and by the sounds of it, it'll "force" us to upgrade absolutely everything, again, with this new level of gear. I'm sure we've all got a horde of a million iron ore and enough leather to cover the whole map by now, but there's going to be a new resource which will restrict it again I expect.
I wonder how that'll affect those that have bought sets through the store, will they also have to upgrade them? I'd be pretty [censored] off if that was the case lol
Anyway, they did talk of changes to how Reda works, or at least expanding the missions so I'll be interested to see how that works out. I look forward to reading all about it and seeing what hilarious bugs they can introduce this time next week!
@spirantcrayon22 Ugh, bayonet sword again. I guess we should feel grateful that Reda has new jokes?!
Meanwhile in Odyssey, I finally got Pegasos as well as a set item last week, then 3 set items this week from the random jars. So hooray for that at least.
Here's a good article that Ubisoft should read: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-60304123
