Hi all, I'm needing some help with this issue too. Not had a problem with the autosave corrupting my files at all until I started with the Siege of Paris DLC. I've done a few of the infamy tasks and am plodding through the main story. If it helps I'm at the part with the manor with red flowers. (Trying to be vague - non spoilery) I've had the pop up notifying me that game is unable to save. Turned off the network connectivity in the hopes that autosave is disabled. This has not worked.
Does anyone have any solutions/workaround? I'm not wanting to lose 170+ hours on this.
Cheers
ETA: Playing on PS5
Just don't bother playing, like me. I'm done until there's a fix, and Ubisoft needs to pull their heads out of their rear ends and start testing content before releasing. And you can't say they do, because this wouldn't be an issue, or like the last update where festival quest was bugged for anyone who completed all River raids, or when traveling to Ireland put Eivor in an infinite sleeping & waking loop. There is flat out no testing happening. It's like the game somehow went back to beta and we are all the testers. And to think that I paid $120.00+ dollars for this crap, not counting microtransactions. Not any more. That's for sure
After update 1.3.0 when I go to Ireland, Eivor goes to his bed there and the game gets in an endless loup that you can not exit anymore.
Why does Ubisoft never test these updates!?!?!?!?
I swear they don't test anymore. PS5 also has the bug. Its amazing, really. All platforms, same bug, no one knew before releasing it? Seriously. Amazing.
*edit* Also, for some reason, after reloading and being back at Ravenshood, the shop keeper Yanli has different items every time. I've never seen that happen before.
@avengers3012 I have the ultimate edition and had to purchase Dawn of Ragnarok pre-order separately, so no, it is not included.
Same here, no foreign supplies left in game, apparently.
Same here, saves keep getting corrupted and keep getting a message pooping up saying I have to restart the game to be able to save the game.
Platform: PS5
I just pre-ordered Dawn of Ragnarok and the gear set that it comes with is not leveled at all. I paid for this content, so why should I have to dump tons or leather, iron ore, etc; into 6 gear items? That doesn't seem right.
@sikittoya It's a 'season pass', not a 'lifetime pass'. The way I see it, the season pass covered the first yeat of content, so I'd say that it has ran its course.
It's also worth pointing out that no, nothing legal could possibly come of this since the season pass clearly states it covers three DLCs, which it did, and the Ultimate content already came with that specific version on day 1. I know because i got mine on Launch. The three DLCs were all that wasn't included at the time.
None of this was obvious enough?
Quick fix, although it shouldn't be necessary, at least it works. Go offline, boot up your last save before the update when you had all of your runes, remove all runes from any gear, then go back online.
Note that you will lose any current progress but at least you'll have everything that you did before.
Same thing has happened to me before. This is getting real old, Ubi. Smaller Dev studios like Digital Extremes do not make these errors and should something occur, they hotfix scripts out to fix the 'oof', so a Triple A studio with the massive dev teams and amount of experience, this just shouldn't be happening. Learn from the little guys, I guess. A bit backwards, but yeah.

I've noticed a trigger for this. Every time I load into the game and speak to Eydis to summon my Jomsviking, it's appearance apparently always resets to default when closing or reloading the game. If I change the appearance at all, put some armor and weapons on the Jomsviking, upon exiting that menu is when I get a message about not being able to save until I restart the game. It happens 100% of the time after altering my Jomsvikings appearance. However, if I just speak with Eydis and do not summon my Jomsviking at all, I don't get the save issue. Jomsvikings are breaking the game, or at least mine is. Note, this has also happened to me in multiple other instances and outside of Ravensthorpe, this is just one surefire way to cause the save issue that I've found.

@tr4iningdummy Not at all true. Every time I go back into the game, my save is still corrupted.
