Ubi released one of the most bug filled games in history, we paid full price (I paid over €100) and we're not allowed to get angry when we didn't get a working product?
What the heck is wrong with you ???
Sorry, but I don't believe you.
There is enough harsh criticism on these forums, which Ubi have NOT deleted. If they deleted your thread, I'm sure the language was worse than this repost. Far worse.
And if this post actually is the the same as the one that was deleted, I guessing it's against the rules to repost it.
I'm sorry but if you can't remember any games with as many bugs as Valhalla then you haven't been gaming long. Every major title I have bought since the release of the XB1 has had launch day issues. And, Valhalla seems to be a hit and miss with bug issues; I have had very few issues with the game. Unfortunately, those who have a bad experience are the ones that cry the loudest and those without many issues are less likely to even say anything. I will add that I have two different XB1s playing Valhalla and neither of us have experienced even close to the many problems people are complaining about.
This is rubbish in sooo many ways.
First, I've been playing games for almost 40 years. I've NEVER experienced ANY game that is nowhere near the amount of bugs which Valhalla has.
Valhalla doesn't just have "launch day issues". We've gotten 2 patches after launch that didn't do much at all.
Those who "cry" are MANY, and for obvious reasons. This game has LOTS of GAMEBREAKING bugs. Of course we "cry" when we pay for a product that doesn't work.
"Because I don't have problems, there are no problems". Really? REALLY???
Larrykop is right, you're arrogant and wrong. And quite a lot more that I'm not allowed to say here.
Why on earth did you buy it if you hate vikings? We all knew for a long time that it would be viking themed. Complaining about that is just ridiculous, Ubi can't be blamed because you bought a game with a theme you hate. That's entirely on you.
Besides, River Raids isn't DLC, it's free contents for everyone.
Next time, do some research before you buy, instead of whining about stuff which shouldn't come as a surprise to you. The info was literally everywhere months before release.
Sorry, but these kinds of comments makes me laugh. RPG is *NOT* about collecting huge amounts of loot constantly. That is a cheap MMO trick, or clicky Diablo clones to make up for being light on actual roleplaying throughout. I HATE that so many so-called roleplaying games forces you to play the role of a compulsive pack-mule scavenger. Looting defeated enemies is good, but not generally for their armor and weapons, stripping everything bare to accumulate wealth in order to afford overpriced and overpowered gear at your next trader. Rinse and repeat ad nauseam. Gathering resources like in Valhalla is an elegant solution to this issue and it fits well with the narrative of the story. Valhalla is an unpolished gem released a month too early, but your issues are matters of personal taste that are shallow anti-roleplaying MMORPG tropes rather that flaws.
Sorry, but this is just ridiculous.
They claimed exploration would be rewarding. And when almost every chest contains a few of the same 2 resources, does that feel rewarding to you? For me the answer is simple: hell no!
Sorry, but I the real "laughable" thing in this debate, is that you seem to believe there are only two options: loot everywhere or almost none. There are plenty of other options the devs could have gone for. Not to mention, you call our taste "shallow" when you're the one defending the most shallow loot system I've ever seen.
Well ya'll Valhalla has officially ticked me off. I'm done with it. I'm over 80 hrs in & its utter trash. I quit.
Yeah, I'm done too. And I've played less than half of your playtime.
Currently, I'm in Asgard, in a boss fight where every possible bug has hit me, so I can barely do anything, and I'm even more than halfdead before the game has finished loading. And all other saves has magically disappeared so I can't do anything about it.
And at this time, I will NOT start over, because:
- Worst combat system I've ever seen
- Stealth is mostly completely meaningless. For this and several other reasons, I'm not considering this an AC game, far from it.
- Worst itemisation I've ever seen
- "Rewarding exploration" is about getting chests with leathers and metals, barely anything else
- Garbage upgrading system which forces us to "explore" more to get those mats
- Raids. Neverending waves of enemies. A boring and annoying mandatory grind to get the mats for your settlement.
- No tracking of side quests. Not important for most of them, but for some it would be REALLY useful.
- Side quests/activities are probably mandatory, else you'll be both underleveled and undergeared.
- No level scaling option, therefore you are forced to do zones in order.
- So far, England has ZERO variation. Boring as hell.
- Absolutely INSANE amount of bugs. Combined with the save files bugs, it's likely the game will break again. Seems they fired the QA team.
And quite a few more issues...
Think I'll replay Odyssey instead.
i just dont understand why so many ppl use that setting in the 1st place. How is the game even fun when you remove very kind of challenge for yourself?
Seeing how this setting is even in the game, and so many ppl seem to use i now finally understand why they make their game so easy and simplify everything.
I guess that they cater towards that audience or something.
The problem is?
You can play on whatever difficulty you want, what others do is not your concern and have ZERO impact on you.
I'm a Norwegian and I'm not easily offended, far from it. I think Ubi's name choice was weird, but I don't have any problems with it.
You do raise an interesting point, though, but that debate is soon over since they'll probably ban you for obvious reasons.
Btw, Ubi, if you see this: the f word isn't sensored, but an innocent word beginning with garb... that simply means rubbish, is?
Adding multiplayer to a singleplayer game, and put the best rewards behind mp activities... They did that with Breakpoint (which actually HAS multiplayer options), and that was NOT well received by the majority.
Odyssey and Origins were buggy as hell at release?
Pulling "facts" from unmentionable places, or? I preordered both games, and played them immediately from release. I never encountered a single bug.
Valhalla, on the other hand, probably has more bugs than all games I've played the last 10 years combined.

Just logged into these forums, and at least for me, there are changes here too that has not happened before. This time I had to confirm my login with a 6 digit "security code" that was mailed to me, not once, but twice.
What is going on? We're not logging into some top secret site - why these enhanced security annoyances?
Every time I open Ubi Connect, I have to enter email address and password, then wait for a confirmation code mailed to me and enter that. I also have to tick the box to mark my PC as a trusted device every time, since it seems to reset. Earlier, I only had to manually log in once or twice per year, and there was almost never any issues.
And a new issue has arised:
Even if I'm logged in, when I start a game, I have to enter my Ubi Connect password. The only exception here, seems to be games i've bought on Steam that requires UC - when started from Steam, they briefly load UC without issues.
Any way to get rid of this login / password /code nagging?
Also, when exiting games, I often get connection problems that seems to prevent cloud saves. There nothing wrong with my connection, so I have no idea what this is. Saves seems to work, though, but they may only be on my system, not the cloud (not sure).
Any tip on how to fix this?
In 793, Norwegian vikings raided Lindisfarne. This is recognised at the event that marked the start of the viking age (only the Norwegian part, say some - all of it, says others). Which is one of many reasons why Norway is famous for the viking heritage.
As for the Danish invasion/conquering:
Yes, it was led by the Danish king. But what was Denmark then, included Norway and parts of Sweden, which explains why vikings were often referred to as Danes back then. Also, most historians considers it extremely unlikely that only people from modern day Denmark participated in the conquering - far from it. And DNA analyses of remains found in England supports that. So it's fair, from a modern point of view, to say that Scandinavia invaded under the leadership of the Danish king.
As for Denmark as part of the game:
Bad idea. Because Denmark is almost completley flat, and has very little variations. It would simply look like copy/paste of many of the English zones, but with more sea between the regions.
Which is why Noray is better, with high mountains and snow, bringing variety to the game.
Mastery Challenge should have difficulty level options. It's hard for the best players and impossible for average like me.
What's the point of mastery challenges if anyone could complete them on highest score with one hand and closed eyes?
Isn't that whole thing is about being master of this game?
And if you're not really that kind of player - why bother?
Personally I enjoy a good challenge. But we're all different, with different skills. What's fine for you, is not for others.
Imo, your game's difficulty setting should affect EVERYTHING, so everyone can enjoy it at their own terms. Heck, they even added the Saga difficulty setting for the game a couple of months ago, which is even easier than the Easy setting. Others playing on Saga does NOT affect you or me in any way at all. It simply isn't our concern how others play the game, when our experience isn't halted by it.
Simply put, a variety of options that can satisfy at many players as possible without ruining anythng for others is ALWAYS good. Why are you fighting against that?
Could sound like that, yes. But do note the "most likely", it's not guaranteed.
Most companies does not give statements after betas, some release some corporate bs about having gathered useful information, and nothing more.
I doubt they're delaying it at all. They undoubtly consider it finished apart from smalller adjustments, bug fixes and performance enhancements.
I agree it's a good chance it will be dead on arrival. It's dead for me personally and all the negative posts here suggests there's not a lot of love for this version. I may buy it if it comes on a sale at a maximum of €5 sometimes in the future, just to check the campaign - I'm not paying more than that, that's for sure.
Beta ended almost 1 week ago.
