I think part of the issue is unreactable soft feints coupled with unlimited stamina.
The hero's that have access to unlimited combos should NOT have unlimited stamina or fast stamina regen feats and perks. Now add in hyper armor, and a larger health pool that also contains health buffs...
Most of the hero's in this game are unplayable UNLESS you are facing other unplayable hero's or have backup. I haven't played a fun hero in over a year, maybe even 2 years. The CCU update coupled with all the buffs has taken a huge chunk of fun out of the game, alot of players are stuck playing garbage that they win with, not that it's fun to win with.
Just play the top tier hero's, abuse the garbage and maybe... Just maybe something fun will be created down the road other than a good t-bag emote that you smash on a corpse because you killed him with pure garbage
Play a hero with a slow dodge, you can't punish anything. You can't get a light attack off, you can't feint to anything, you cant get hyper armor, you can't do anything but hope to block. Even then Shinobi can keep going while hitting you with attacks that should be able to be dodged but track you while you dodge. It doesn't make sense, the devs are a sack of solid dog farts.
Max rep on a hero is fine, however, not gaining personal reps while using a max rep hero is just plain stupid.
I have 6 max rep heros that are fun to play but I don't play them for the simple reason of not gaining personal xp or reps, so I'm always playing with hero's i don't want to play with...
@mayankinggaming Yeah it's crap, I have no idea why they don't clamp down on scripters. It's easy, coders should know how easy it is to find scripters.
But couple that with hero's that are broken and it's quit city, I guess the devs want scripters to bore themselves to death instead of having to deal with them.
He's missing frames even on ps5 and can hold people hostage at will, he also has 'every' type of attack and defense. His allguard 'just happens' unlike the 3 other allguards who are forced to eat a delay AND notification via sound effect. He throws varied attacks from allguard 'different sides' while the other classes with allguard can only throw 1 from the same side.
They gave him everything to sell him, it's not about balance.
@undondory im not exaggerating in the least...
I'm constantly grouped with people under 100 reps where two of them are usually between 0-30. I'd happily wait 10 minute load times for a lobby of 300+, instead the game tosses me into the first opening it can find.
The new hero didn't help where it brought back a bunch of randoms looking for some OP advantage, the 'refer a friend' promotion also brings in pure crap. Maybe next month will be better lol
Playing with @PicoAncus has been a treat to say the least, finally, a solid dude to enjoy a gank by my side as our two suicide bombers keep us short handed and under zoned all game long, lol.
Even when we are lucky enough to get a solid 3rd our 4th will be an even worse suicide bomber, going 0-8, never capturing a zone while avoiding the neutral zone at all costs.
One day, we will get a solid 4th
@pacurata I agree and disagree.
Now that a raider feints everything into a stunning tap the opportunity to light parry and punish him is there all day long. I'm also pretty sure that since he is feinting you should be able to pop him with a light attack, stopping his tap. Don't quote me on that second part though, I haven't faced enough of them to be sure.
Any hero with hyper armor is basically an assassin killer, it kicks in the same time a Dodge attack is preformed. However, I do agree that if you land a deflect it should stop that attack dead in its tracks preventing the hyper armor and punish.
I played a single game of this mode and wanted to quit the entire time, it's garbage. There is literally no background noise or ambiance which makes it feel like your totally alone, couple that with having a complete garbage random team out of the gate made this an extremely annoying experience.
It sucks balls like every other game mode produced, ruined by many things which ultimately lead to a serious crapshoot of random teamates that are basically unplayable with.
I'll hit a guy once who is fighting someone else his revenge meter will peak. If I touch him twice he will get revenge.
If I'm fighting 3-4 people at the same time, parrying, light parrying and dodging attacks my meter will barely increase, resulting in no revenge.
Over 1000 reps vs whatever reps of garbage. If im supposed to carry teams because if my bullseye why is it harder and near borderline impossible for me to get revenge at my rep???
@mrbdur do you even know what spamming is?
It's not r1 r1 r1, it's inputting your personal 'i win combos' over and over while not even needing to bother with anything the opponent is doing to you 'and or' feinting at you because it doesn't matter. Your combo will win regardless of skill, speed counters x, hyper armor counter y and health pool counters z kinda thing.
Some hero's are absolute monsters vs a few specific hero's while hot garbage against the rest, it's rock paper scissors type of balance. Outspam your opponent FTW, your hero can either beat their hero or he can't.
The matchmaking is still pure garbage, and here are ways to improve it.
1: allow players to flag other players that they never want to be teamed up with. This would create enemies and put more emphasis on trying to kill your opponents.
2: allow players to set min/max reputation. Self explanatory, no rep 20s want to be in lobby's with rep 500s AND vice versa, unless grouped or friends with.
3: incorporate a playstyle into profiles, IE competitive, casual, just for fun. This would group players with other players who want to play the same way, instead of the mish mash of trash we have as it is.
4: age... groups... I wonder how many grown adults wanna hear the voice of an 8yr old on the mic, or even talk to the child. However if the adult wants to talk to the child then I'm sure there is a different motivation in the works. Flipside, kids should be grouped with kids.
Come on UBI, do something good for this game other than trying to lopside balance things based on what your coders wanna play this month
If I get hit by some regular attacks my guard won't return to block a follow up strike 'unless' it comes from the same direction.
Why is flex guard still crap? If I'm HOLDING RIGHT why does my guard vanish and or not reload to the right after I get hit, I'm still HOLDING RIGHT. This also ties into the first question but worse since you can't even catch the followup strike.
Seeing attacks coming a mile away 'should' enable you to defend against them, blacking out guards from followup strike that you are skilled enough to defend against is pretty stupid.
The only time you shouldn't be able to catch a followup strike is if it's a guaranteed punish.
Garbage cans that are playing 'to have fun' SHOULDNT be teamed up with players that are 'trying to win'.
And yes, winning is fun, but putting fun at the expense of winning isn't everyone's idea of fun.
UBI please! Group these types of players, let them play with each other. I'd happily play with only people who are trying to win VS a team of garbage cans that are just trying 'to have fun'.
It's a simple checkbox in the profile that can help matchmaking, put the players with the people that they wanna play with.
@igiveupwiththis don't listen to @deathtocakl , even though he's the most important part of a door, the doorknob.
If your not playing a top tier hero then for the most part a raider will mess you up regardless of his actual skill, it's just spam combos and win via hyper armor, stamina pool and health pool. Just accept it and move on.
Play broken hero's to beat broken hero's, then make reads and memorize combos and defensive directions when they are spamming.
@undondory I'm glad you found it funny, because that's how it was meant to be taken lol.
There's a few guys I just bust their balls for kicks, I'm not trying to be toxic, I'm trying to get reactions and replies to generate more forum participation.
