@clutchlordzukes I like running into other people, but the issue I have is stopping completely when it happens. Should be more predictable.
two into one don't go, just avoid people if you don't want to be run into.
@ne0ncobra yes this seems to be a broken challenge if you played the trial. Unsure if the devs ever plan on acknowledging it as a problem, or if they plan on fixing it. I can't even find a way to start a new game, even if I wanted to.
edit: I opened a ticket, and as usual the support staff blamed me for the problem, when it seems to be an oversight.
Hi,
I feel far cry is lacking a bit in the buff department, since you can't unlock skills and are reliant on gear sets, you can't just have it all. One way to fix this, before the devs fix the bug, is to stack meals. First I would recommend upgrading La Cantina all the way, you get more recipes, and they last longer, so stacking buffs is even more effective.
All you have to do to trigger the bug is to purchase multiple meals at the same time, and close the game and reopen it; when you rejoin you should have all the buffs activated. Check your buffs at La Cantina:
@mrt_sah I agree. You can do all these crazy tricks on bikes, and skis, and snow boards, and wingsuits and paragliders, but once you are walking around you get stuck on a rock and can't even move. like what. let us jump. let us climb. please.
@munkhee I wouldn't like to restart, but if it the only way to unlock challenges then I would do it.
@ubi-theberry I agree, but it was tied to the game, because I literally couldn't select the keyboard or anything, the only way it went away was by closing rider's republic. I think it had to do with an interaction between ubisoft connect's overlay and a controller. Overlay never opened though. and it was the only time even I skipped the splash screens after an event. I have no idea what I placed or anything, it went from the countdown ending, me hitting start, and then it went to the reward screen because I leveled up. I am playing with controller. with keyboard and mouse plugged in. windows 10. I never seen that virtual keyboard before in my life; it wasn't the windows one. The virtual keyboard was the same blue as ubisoft in-game overlay. It had controller ui on it, but I couldn't use it, or select it. It wasn't showing up in task manager. literally was completely tied to riders republic. I might have pressed multiple buttons with my controller that prompted ubisoft connect to open an overlay and a virtual keyboard for controller on the overlay, but I don't know how or why. and it shouldn't have broken my background image when I closed the game. I envy anyone trying to replicate this bug, i really have no clue what happened.
just going to update my gpu driver and keep an eye out if it happens again, but won't be trying for it.
@ubi-theberry the problem is the core challenge is impossible to beat since progression carries over from the trial week with no challenges to the full game with challenges. There is no way to go back, start over, or anything to redo the core challenge.
And that is a bug. that needs to be fixed.
you know, instead of still blaming me for the problem, take responsibility.
encountered a very odd bug.
Was doing a timed bike trick event at the waves. I kept wrecking, so before the time ran out, I tried to hit the pause button, and restart the event, because I don't like seeing 20 splash screens just to play the same event again. However, I pressed pause just as the event ended and broke the heck outta the game. It skipped all the splash screens, freaking awesome, for once, but it also tabbed out of the game and brought up a virtual keyboard on my computer that I could not get rid of until I closed the game. Once I closed the game, to get rid of the virtual keyboard that appeared outta nowhere, my background picture disappeared and I had to restart my entire computer. All files successfully validated. But a virtual keyboard that I cannot close should not have opened because I tried to enter the pause menu as an event was ending. Validated all files. idk how this could have happened.

The core challenge in this case is "Opening Day: Complete Welcome to Riders" There was also "First Step." "Collect 40 stars to unlock a picture as a sponsor." I needed to collect an additional 40 stars to unlock the challenge.
@catherinecat93 I can confirm I have more ammo, and more gadgets at the same time using this method. would be impossible if not for the food. uninstalled the game, idk if the bug still functions
