@hek0ne it's likely we will see a small feature at E3 from the ubisoft forward event, then I think it will be an August/September release date which would make it just over a year after it was delayed, with a limited beta before July, but it also wouldn't surprise me if the project gets scrapped and we will never get a new RS,I hope im wrong,it's really frustrating that they never update us on anything for months,we have played the beta and the game is not a secret anymore,I understand they are probably really busy and can't say much about the progress and release date, but regular small updates would go a long way, even if the community developers could post updates on here once a week
Whole thing is a shame, could have used 70% of RS14 and just freshened things up to handle the new licensing plan. Instead they had to go with a funky phone app looking web based nightmare. Major mistakes were made by whomever was responsible for UI, usability and marketing. So many times I've seen this happen to games and apps, the customer base loves the product, just wants it updated or some other small changes .... new blood gets hired, wants to make a name for themselves, commits to a complete remake and destroys the product. Bear in mind RS came out when lots of the current employees were in middle school ... course anything old sucks so it must be destroyed and remade to appeal to a "wider audience" ... meaning people that aren't really serious about playing guitar.
It's frustrating that the game got delayed,I agree with some bits you said but RS14 was outdated and needed something new,I think they should scrap the new mobile app and concentrate on the game, they are copying Yousician and even yousician who is the market leader still hasn't got it right after years of updating,I get that they are trying to modernise RS and appeal to a younger audience but they aready have a loyal audience with 4M+ RS14 sales,After playing the beta I don't know what they are trying to do,the UI was fresher but unless they focus on learning, better learning games and not just flood the game with thousands of mediocre songs then the game will be a success and it will justify the subscription,if it's just the beta with a few small tweaks then the game will be a flop,I hope they have taken the feedback serious enough and start implementing the features that people who will be subscribers want,it will take time and they will keep updating the game,we are it expecting it to be perfect from day 1,as long as the core features are good then in time it will be better than RS14,but with no updates from them as to how the game is going the it's not looking good, ubisoft like delaying games and RS+ could get delayed again until 2023,enough speculating and let's hope we get some good news soon
www.game.co.uk: (https://game.co.uk) are taking pre orders for the rocksmith + subscriptions for consoles and they have a release date for 31/10/21
But they didn't show anything for PC,And ubisoft have said that the pc will be released first,so I would
Say it's possible that it will be out on the pc the 30th of September and then the consoles will have access a month later

One of the main reasons the new game sounded much better than RS2014 is the new engine, a switch of engine results in large quantities of code, if not everything, have to be rewritten.
I agree that there are elements of RS2014 that is worth to carry over, and even elements of RS1 that would be nice to get backm but that isn't enough to defend remaining on the previous platform with the limitations entailed.
The new platform comes with a much cleaner sound, which is a huge plus, since the sound experience is a huge part of the game.
The new platform is more flexible related to instruments, meaning 7+ strings can be supported, so can charts for Ukelele, Mandolin, Banjo, or other stringed instruments.
Yes it is frustrating that release is pushed back so much, and that the communication from the dev team is so lacking. But I rather wait a little longer for this, than receiving a [censored] game.
Hope notetrackers keep working on tracks as if the game was released, so that we get as large a library as possible from release.
I agree with you and some excellent points,I hope they get it right after a lot of criticism from the beta,is there really a need for the mobile app? I feel like they are trying to do too much and forgetting the core features that made RS14 a success, most of what they are doing is really good, but to justify the subscription service people are always going to want more,it's not about having thousands of songs in the library,im more than happy to pay for a subscription, trying to convince a new audience will be tough if the already fan base is not convinced about a subscription model, some features as you mentioned looked promising and it's a step in the right direction and I'm looking forward to what the new engine will offer as RS+ has the potential to be a huge success if they get it right so fingers crossed
@deathspiller it was one of my main feedback questions after playing the beta,After playing rocksmith for years i feel I haven't got any theory knowledge at all,and like you mentioned your left on your own and it's really frustrating as interactive lesson could easily be implemented into the game, there's only so many songs you can play until you either get bored of playing them over and over and feeling like your not learning anything but playing too songs, lessons would be my main reason for buying the new rocksmith,i don't care about getting 5000+ songs,my main question was to add an option where you could turn on the note names from 1 String to start off then increase the strings, you could still have the numbers at bottom and the note name at the top of the note if you wanted, then an advanced option to show sharps and flats once you have memorised all the notes without thinking about it,also add the caged system and have an option to show root notes ect. you could have interactive lesson's on intervals, but the scales as lessons would be amazing,as watching YouTube and online lessons don't help and are so confusing,so having lessons on modes and and something like metal/blues courses would make rocksmith an awesome learning tool,as you'll also have thousands of songs to play in-between your theory learning, but wether or not they will take feedback on board is another question,if rocksmith doesn't do anything like that then I'll have to abandon the game and get real lessons, which i don't really want as i love rocksmith and have played it for years,so hopefully the wait is worth it
@deathspiller yeah it would work well,i would even pay for interactive courses to be honest, someone like steve vai or satriani would be awesome, they've had people like john petrucci on stream in the past and a few others,so they can get top guitarists if they wanted too,but after playing the beta I can't see us getting anything close to it or if not at all they will most likely have the same thing as RS14 and have the same lessons but a few extra added, the emphasis on getting 1M songs in the future shows that their big goal has been licencing,I wanted the top 10 requested artists in RS14 a few years ago and thought that getting songs from Metallica would make me better, but i was Wrong and after playing loads of CDLC i got bored and frustrated that i haven't learned any theory/techniques in all the years I've been playing RS,i really hope I'm wrong and they will give us something amazing,i think we'll get a reveal at this years E3 or a separate reveal from rocksmith around the same time

That was my main request to be added, knowing every note on the fretboard is a must,I would like to see an option to see the note names while playing a song, but if not then a new mini game would be brilliant,I think staring off with 1 string then adding more strings and then add sharps/flats when you know all the notes off by heart, also have a root note finder and adding an option to learn something like the CAGED system, also intervals are a must to learn as well and a separate mini game/section would be good, if it's just going to be the same as the beta but with 1000+ songs then it will be a big fail,if they are truly going for "the future of learning" then we need to see features like we've mentioned, you can add 50k songs and you'll never learn the fretboard and to be able to improvise and play outside the game,so hopefully they've taken the feedback on board and it will be a success, because they could make this an awesome learning tool if they get it right.
New Guitar Arcade game request - Note Hunter
To aid ear training.
E.G start with one fret location and repeat the note, then build to two frets, etc.
Eventually building up to "simon" game of find and repeat the multiple notes.
Alt Version - Find the chord, using option A,B,C & D and again build up as above.
I'm actually surprised this has never been included in the previous releases
Anyway hope the bug hunting going well for devs and hopefully they've managed to get through the majority of the feedback and requests from the beta.
Feel free to delete the thread below, I didn't initially see the feedback section to this forum

You would still need a realtone cable on consoles but on pc you can use the RS+ app,but as the game is free there won't be a psychical disc, most games have gone that way, like fortnite and call of duty warzone they make alot of money from the subscriptions(battle pass) and Like toymachinesh said they will only likely have a subscription bundle with the real tone cable,
@ospreys89 So no more RS cables? The physical disk and the cable were packaged together when you bought it on XBox and PS.
I'm pretty sure they won't make a physical copy of the game as it's free to download and would cost them millions to produce them,it will just be digital cards in stores for subscriptions
@pedietz is RS+ coming on physical media at all? Many games now are released only on online store, and specially games centered around online or streaming such as RS+
