So I linked my ubisoft account, and then it prompted to make a new game. It didn't warn of overwriting the file, so I went on. When I tried loading old files, they were there but corrupted. I figured they would re-appear when the update finished installing. I don't have easy access to the XBOX, so is it safe to still make a new game if it doesn't warn of overwriting a file? Or is there something else I need to do on my PS5

My brother accidentally overwrote his save when he meant to use a different user, and his account was linked to Ubisoft. Is it possible to get his save back?
