I loved Origins and the new direction the franchise took with it however Odyssey bored me to death, i hated how much your character felt like a demigod with super duper arcadey special moves against enemies that took 20 slashes to kill, is the combat any better in Valhalla, for example heavier, brutal and more realistic? How about the open world and story? The storyline in origins sucked me in and portrayed very well how the quest for vengeance can poison us while at the same time portraying the clash of great historical characters? The world felt like Ptolemy Egypt showing the clash of cultures and civilizations and going into depth with your character's religious and cultural beliefs, something Ubisoft have always scoffed at when it came to Characters portrayed in a Christian civilization, needless to say this game felt a bit more mature than the others. Odyssey was just way too cartoony for me, the world was like a Woke person's paradise rather than Ancient Greece and the storyline was bland at best. Is Valhalla more like origins, are the Vikings made out to be ''cool badasses'' that caters more to taste of the naïve and immature or can i expect some realistic Viking grit? Are the English portrayed as the bad guys for being Christian, something typical in the older titles? I basically want to get a feel for this game before i buy it full price or perhaps wait for a sale or even avoid so interested in your thoughts?
