Well i never really left Odyssey mostly because of Kassandra she's one of my most favorite protagonists of all the games that i've played in my life. And Origin nope i do not like the game very much and so a reason that i never finished the game.
And Valhalla i'm about 25 hours in and that was since November 2020 when i played the game for the first time. I'm just waiting for when they finally fix the game ... probably never gonna happen.
I totally agree with this. We should be allowed to kill civilian NPCs without the game restarting the level. This feature is there in some Far Cry games and also in Ghost Recon Wildlands and its really really annoying.
AC Odyssey allows us to kill innocent NPCs, last night I went on a rampage and was surrounded by bodies, it was so much fun. Sometimes you just wanna have fun ya know?
Im sad to hear that Valhalla has re-enabled this annoying feature. This is a single player game, it will not affect anyone but the person playing the game. My idea is to make it a menu item that can be turned ON and OFF.
Allow killing of civilian NPC?_____[Yes]........[No]
This way both kinds of gamer will be happy. They already have that choice for Blood FX so why not for this? Also yes the automatic horse speed-control - why?? Just ...why??????
I love the AC, FC & GR franchises from Ubi but these are some very irritating features that I hope will be addressed by giving the gamer a choice.
Uh ... i think we need to talk about what you did and how much fun it was.
@patricia81994 well atheist killed millions tooo, just ask the soviet union about that, religion has nothing to do with war, the wars back a days where for the same reason as nowadays war, just to get more power and ofcourse wealth.. anything hasnt changed, is just that u live in a place where problems are non existance anymore, so people has to make their own problems to feel more relatable to the rest of the world... thats the "first world" for you... where people just assume stuff and has no clue of the actual crisis in the rest of the world... but the fall of these people is soon to come
Tell me where in my post did i attack only one religion i was talking about ALL religions so that also includes atheists and the rest and also where in my post did i mention war ? But you talk about religion has nothing to do with war well in that case you're soooooo wrong there were soooooo many wars about religions.
Really would like to fire up this game, but by all accounts I've seen, it's so bug ridden, it would be a waste of time.
When this planned to be fixed so people can play???
Short answer NO the bugs are not fixed yet.
And me i'm not so eager anymore to finally fire up this game i've just waited to long ( Dec 2020 ) that i lost hope along the way that this game will ever be playable without the countless bugs/glitches.
Whenever i visit this forum it's still filled with countless bugs threads and that's after almost 6 months.
I'm just soooooo disappointed in Ubisoft.
@mexicantemplar Is he banned for saying this? So if you complain in a bit strong voice and in a mismanaged tone, you get banned? That seems harsh...
No i don't think so i think he must have done or said something else to get himself banned this thread is from January.
@patricia81994 That's happens whenever you assassinate someone, it's an ability that was added with the LotFB DLC ..... I call it "The disappearing hat trick" but the Ubisoft name for it is Death Veil ..... I like it because I don't have to take time to hide bodies or chuck them over the wall in forts although sometimes I wish there was an option to not use it if I want to lure someone into a trap by leaving a body out but I can accomplish the same thing by killing them with a bow and then putting the body where I want it
Actually I got lucky there and got a Crit or I only would have taken off 3/4 of his health and would have had to finish him off with a quick Devastating Shot ..... I only had +43% Assassin Damage and a 27% chance of getting a Crit ......
Okay i did not know that and i've never used that ability in any of my 5 playthroughs and i never hide bodies anyway or chuck them over the wall when i clean out a fort ( just to much work ).
I didnt have time to test yesterday the River raids, I decided to give it a try today.
In the colony the first guy I had to talk to was (see picture below)
Reassure me, it's a joke, right? Ubisoft is already preparing its April fool?!
Maybe it's a Viking who really loves sunbathing.
@slimgrin RDR2 was even worse and Cyberpunk woman aren't much to look at either ..... It always seems to fall to the Modding Community to get them to look good .... A big part of the reason Kassandra looks better in my videos is because I'm using higher quality textures for her skin and removing all the dirt on her and other NPCs and just little things like that make all the difference ...... However when they updated the Connect app so we could get our Club rewards it messed up an offset or something and now all the underwear is flesh colored instead of white
Wt... do you have that often that when you confirm a kill s/he disappears ???
Yeah i've also stopped playing this game for at least 2 months now if i play a game i do not want to feel like i am some sort of beta tester. And a week is not enough we have to think of something more drastic to make Ubi feel what most of us feel with this broken game.
I do not even bother to upgrade my PS5 with the latest patch i just come over here and see that it's still a mess.
@patricia81994 One of them made an appearance in the thread about NPC's misgendering Eivor, so I guess they haven't completely left the building. I have a tendency to go off-topic but try to stop myself as I know it irritates some
Well that's only one of them so i wouldn't worry to much though. All i can say is you do not irritate me by going off topic so by all means go right ahead.
I feel that Valhalla is way worse than Odyssey in pretty everything.
Landscapes are all the same, ok we are talking about an historical period where there are only countryside,
but what about Asgard?
Asgard is so "lifeless" when compared to the Atlantis of Odyssey.
Combat system is so boring when compared to Odyssey,
ax, perry, ax, repeat.
Skill tree is a caos, abilities can't be mixed in a combo like in Odyssey and you end using always the same abilities.
I used one or two at most during combat.
Too much things on the map, it happen that you spend 30 minutes finding a point on the map and you end finding some pieces of nichel, seriously?
30 minutes for some nichel?
Differently from Odyssey you don't feel the character progression.
There are so few armour set, so few weapons, and you don't feel the character progression.
I'm an AC fanboy, I played all the games launch day since the first AC but this game is so flat when compared to Odyssey and a big disappointment for me.
I'm at 60 hours now and I changed my mind since the original post.
Valhalla is not on par with Odyssey, Odyssey landscapes are way better, I like the history in Odyssey (that is absent in Valhalla), Valhalla have no "Historical Figures" like in Odyssey but all in all is a good game.
I'm enjoying it, after the first hours, the gameplay is improved with skills and abilities, I think that if you liked Odyssey, you should play Valhalla.
Really ... did they pay you to write this.
I still think that Valhalla is way worse then Odyssey and i cannot be bought.
@asgardian02 since he lives there, he could oversee it himself. Not quite the same as sending stuff somewhere and leaving it open to be abused by corrupt entities. It's not like pumping billions into tech just to take out the odd criminal really solves anything either. We are way off topic now BTW
I don't think we have to worry about them closing this thread because with all the complaints that we'll threw at them they've left the building.
Have you seen any of the moderators lately ?
@patricia81994 You played her first I guess?
Yes that is true i just cannot relate to male characters and that's my main reason so if i can play as myself then why would i play as a male. But what about you you never gave Kassandra a chance either because you said you only played as him ... she's a lot of fun too and a great sense of humor and great facial expressions.
The only male character that i actually liked was in the last GoW game i liked the old Kratos.
@swampeh couldn't agree more, though I did like some of the side characters in Valhalla. Sigurd doesn't even make sense. He acts like he was given a lobotomy. I don't dislike Eivor (playing as male) - he's aright, just another grumpy dude. As for Odyssey, I don't get the hate for Alexios. I only played as him, and he's one of my fav game characters. He has humour, great facial expressions and is a change from the chronically glum MC's we've had in AC. In fact, I liked him so much that I can't play as Kassandra, not because I dislike her, but I can't cope with Alexios being the villain xD And as for Kass, aside her being possibly unrealistic, I think she was well-done as far as female game characters go: neither overly butch not overly fragile, and she doesn't look like she walked out of [censored]. And those world events, while some of them are great, there are just too many, and they end up feeling like the other repetitive stuff on the map - having some memorable, recurring characters like Socrates and Alkibiades in Odyssey would have spiced them up too.
Also, yeah the anomalies. They feel dated to me, same for the drinking games. They remind me of AC3, where we had "hit x button, then y button" mechanics, and Desmond had to crawl around some maze, which at one point was completely pitch black (at least I think that was in 3).
And i'm the complete opposite i do not hate Alexios though i just cannot see Kassandra as the Deimos nope i like her to much for she is one of my favorite protagonists.
