@spades1961 I find it hard to believe this major bug was reported in November, and here we are April some 4+ months down the line with a majorly defective game. A shame I'm no longer on twitter, I'd be calling Ubisoft out and all the game reviewer who have ignored this. The game should not be sold at this time - customers should be offered a full refund - and allowed to continue with the game once (If) Ubisoft bother to fix it. Very frustrating.
With the issue having been present and reported back since November, with no fix - even with the latest patch, are Unisoft finally going to issue those who wish to have them, a full refund for a defective game. It's defective as you can't play it as intended - with stealth. About time Ubisoft made a public apology for producing such a terribly bigger game and obviously for sacking those game developers who fix fugs, and produced quality. Maybe sack those who can't fix bugs and replace them with ones who can. Enough is enough ubisoft, sort it out!!
@corne1988 just posted something that may help you/ Not sure how far into the game you are etc.
I loaded the game with the latest patch (this morning with the patch it had the bug) - the game still had the bug. I decided to do one of the magic missions and failed, lol - as not played for a while. Anyway, I decided to bite the bullet and go and finish the mission kidnap estrid (mission before twists and turns), once kidnapped, I killed a few guards, and then offloaded onto a horse, and headed to the location guided. Once I got near the location all the foliage stayed in place. Got off the horse, walked around and all stayed. Completed the dialogue to finish that mission section and the foliage stayed. Saved the game.. I then travelled around Essex and all ok, and then jumped to Gatenbridge and all ok. Currently, it seems to complete the Kidnap Estrid mission has resolved the issue for me. Hopefully, this may help some of the others affected.
@ubi-mark right so this may help some - tonight I loaded the game with the latest patch (this morning with the patch it had the bug) - the game still had the bug. Anyone notice if this is fixed for them as of yet? I loaded up the other day, and it was still broken.me. It would be nice to play the game, but one can't while this big bug is there. November 2020 was a long time ago, and for a big games company not to have fixed it yet is extremely disappointing. I still suspect a lot of coders/devs and support are were laid off, and probably why such a long delay in it being fixed.
Yes, some time back I tried changing the graphics settings from performance and quality, and no difference.
@derpydora yep I've tried all the 'fixes' and to no avail. Jumping off view points, her settings etc the whole lot, and no joy. I do hope Ubisoft hurry up and sort it, can't really play the game at the moment like this. Since November is a major time for Ubisoft to have not fixed this, they say they are working on it - have lots of reports and video evidence of it, yet a big company as them still can't find the big, replicate it etc etc. Umm something isn't right.
@ubi-mark hi, no it didn't. Also a reset of the console hasn't helped either.
After the update, I loaded the game. The game loads, gets to the save, load, options main screen, where you would move your controller across to click load etc, the circle stays in the middle of the screen. Can't do anything with the game. Have deleted the game and reinstalling it, and downloading the updates again, see if a clean install of ten game helps. Only this buggy came causing many issues. I checked and Odyssey which has the same type of load screen etc, the controller moves fine to go to load and options etc. Valhalla is so buggy. Outstanding foliage bug from November still not fixed and now this.
@arbitrary-larry exactly, ubisoft take your money and run away with it, leaving an unplayable game. I tried but at points I was walking on air, where I guess a rope was, I couldn't see, I jumped expecting to jump to the ground, but landed midair on something I couldn't see. You can't stealth play, it's pointless. Unbisof obviously don't care, if they did they would have pulled out all stops, viewed all the footage people have uploaded since November clearly showing the issues. There's more proof the issue exists than there is that ubisoft support/decelopment team still do, seems they got rid of people during covid and not get them back, or fired them for producing such a flawed game.
@ubi-woofer this is from the Essex area, though it doesn't seem to make much difference where in England. There's enough footage on YouTube already showing this bug. Here's mine Xbox X, HDR latest patch.
