I feel like there's a missed opportunity to unify the reputation system in Watch Dogs 1 and the recruitment mechanic in Watch Dogs Legion. So what I hope to see in the next game possibly is if we are continuing on the theme of resistance, is to give the player more control over what kind of resistance we want to be. Right now it feels like a bunch of like-minded hippies running around. Do we want to make a more extremist resistance that fights fire with fire? Or one that is peaceful, but is largely going to get trampled over? Maybe that can reflect in storyline choices, and the effects on different boroughs e.g. more chaos and disorder, or more outreach and aid going into people who need the aid.
Extending to the recruitment mechanic, make it so that our stance impacts the followers we get. So right-wing hardline anarchists only join if we play to that direction, whereas disillusioned cops or aid workers would only be sympathetic to us if we take a more peaceful route. This could impact our potential tech tree / unlocks as well e.g. more explosives and heavy weaponry vs. tasers and stealth. Or we could have some funky characters like an extremist doctor who drugs everyone or a pacifist arms dealer who only provides nonlethal weaponry.
Just my two cents on this!
