@ubi-mark - come on Mark, after everyone posting about this on social media and on these forums, I don't think asking for photographic proof of the issue is really a solid response do you? Appreciate someone has finally posted an official response acknowledging there is an issue though.
I have a pointer however for the investigation - if you have a Uplay+ account the DLC is available, if you "only" own the DLC via a Season Pass then the DLC isn't showing up and isn't installing. Its the same issue with some of the Odyssey DLC they should be well aware of this now.
IMO at this point, after Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla it seems clear to me that if Ubisoft thew off the hang up of having a deep historical story attached at the hip to modern day/Ancient Alien story-line they have the ability AND scope to give us all a completely new IP and game series.
A series of games wholly in a historical setting, focused on a character where historical events happen around and their story of trying to survive and thrive in those difficult situations and scenarios. Yes, they could be a warrior..maybe avenging the death of a loved one, maybe taking part in Viking raids, taking over their clan and settling in a hostile country...maybe just something simple as a person fighting against a deep injustice handed out to them.
Its all there in these three games but literally held back by having to conform to the other story.
We have TWO game series here...Assassin's Creed and another one which is an open world RPG with solid combat mechanics and a luxuriously crafted historically set environment.
Ubisoft have the scope to give us a pure "Assassin's Creed" game with the Isu / Animus storyline at its core and gameplay based mainly on stealth where we can lose much of the contentious RPG open world elements and another set of games where we can have all this wonderful open world and some more historical adventures.
135hrs so far and I've yet to find a player who's been killed on the map to avenge.
I had loads of these when I was playing Origins!! I don't believe it was a challenge/active in Odyssey (can't check as all challenges have been wiped since Uplay move to Ubisoft Connect) but I certainly never encountered any there either.
Bummer for people looking for completion certificates & XP currently *sad-face*
My partner and I both have the game, I have the season pass, she has a Uplay+ account. Her PC has downloaded and has the DLC, my PC still show's it as "coming soon".
It's clear the difference, people who pre-order seem to be getting shafted but people who pay monthly get all the goodies. (and yes, I'm bitter as she's playing the damn thing and I can see it but I can't play!)
@katzenkrimis71 - honestly the game as a whole has been a big let down after Odyssey for me.
This title will be my last AC pre-order. Ubisoft already lost any pre-orders from me for their Ghost Recon titles after the Breakwind fiasco of a game, now lost my money for any future Assassins Creed titles. I guess its a good option for them to move to Free-2-Play titles (as they announced a few days ago) as they clearly aren't going to be able to make money on people buying games from them at this rate!
My advice to ANYONE who's purchased the Season Pass in the last 14 days, immediately go and request a refund.
For others, the law is somewhat contradictory in my opinion with some sources stating a refund is due up to 14 days after delivery of the product (i.e. the DLC) and others stating 14 days from purchase (i.e. when we bought the Gold or Ultimate Edition). I am certain, there are community members with more detailed legal knowledge than I, and I encourage them to research this and maybe push for clarification or challenge Ubisofts "interpretation" of the law in this respect.
Currently, I've been let down WAY to many times with a general slide in the quality of the end products in the past few years, as well as a host of server access issues, launcher connection problems and just generally buggy mess of games from Ubisoft.
I bought a Gold Edition of this game November 2020 and I plan to never buy another Ubisoft game until I have seen first hand game time & reviewed the forums for bug lists and other issues.
Is the Dare LMG meant to be a Stoner LMG (as it appears to be when you actually get the gun) or a new GR-9 (as it appears on the season rewards track)?
Either way, What one is it meant to be??
On the season track it looks like a GR9 like in this picture:
But when you receive it and use it, it looks like a Stoner as in this picture:
@jcar4327 yeah, only issue I see with continuing with the AC franchise as they have is that they already lost a chunk of players due to adding RPG mechanics for example, customers they could get back if they moved the game back to "its roots" shall we say. I'm with you though in that I'd buy anyway...just playing advocate here. That said, it does feel when playing the games that the game could be better as a dedicated historically set open world RPG rather than being tied to the AC historic back story. Perhaps that's my opinion only, but if they didn't have that to link into, I just think it would allow Ubisoft to produce a really top flight game in that genre. Also seems a chunk of players are actively fighting against the historic back story (Isu etc) and want a more dedicated RPG game.
Holding my hands up here... I have only done ONE of the in game "anomalies" ...didn't enjoy it and every time I find one I just avoid it. Likewise, I've hardly touched the mythical/Valhalla story. The story never engaged me at all, I got bored with it and just wanted to go back to the "real" story again. So, basically, I'm "that guy" who wants a dedicated, historically set, open world, RPG as I literally find the other aspects jarring, boring or otherwise intrusive to what I felt was an amazing core story, environment and game play.
Remember kids.. don't drink and Vik.
lol
BTW the drink is Mead so "technically" not a grain or grape brewed drink. Think we have to accept there were significant and practical reasons to imbibe what we'd now feel were excessive amounts of alcohol in those late times. It was a part of life and as for it being a mini-game, I don't feel it should impact players of different cultures, remember in the game and one of the biggest parts of it is going around STEALING religious artefacts... surely just as offensive to perhaps the same people? I don't feel someone can complain about the drinking but wilfully still take part in the stealing and killing...
@ubi-baron Fox starts appearing with this behaviour after you complete a hunter quest (quest revolves around a fox and befriending it if my old memory is right!).
Fox for me started appearing in Ravensthorpe... it clearly wants to you follow it (in a Lassey style way), but so far all my "following foxes" has resulted in nothing other than a really long walk only for the Fox to give up and return to where it started.
I "feel" like there's a deliberate interaction or hidden quest the Dev's have put in but not sure if its an incomplete coding scenario or a bug or something that shouldn't be active until a later DLC / Patch... I can't tell.
The fox has urged me to follow now numerous times, may or may not be the same fox, in various locations including random open world and in cities.
As per title, several times now I've been unable to overwrite a revision to an existing Loadout. For example a better chest piece drops and I equip it, I press "R" (on PC) to overwrite it but the Loadout doesn't change.
There are no skills on cooldown etc that should prevent this.
Work around: create a new loadout or overwrite a completely different slot with the amended one you now want to save, rename it. Done. Also would suggest renaming or deleting the previous version. Drawback is that you have to have a "spare" loadout slot. Absolutely not something more dedicated players have!.
@ubi-viral Photo attached as well by me, you have it in-game without the attached box mag AND also missing any loose ammunition link (only other option for the HK21)
@suschunga Thanks for the clarification! Guessing 15.1 will remove the annoying waypoint (and accompanying "dum-dum" music each time you enter the WH).

@ubi-viral See photo provided by Kelantris - its pretty obvious! There's literally no Magazine.
@suschunga Where has this been confirmed by Ubisoft as Yannik tweeted yesterday that it was a bug from completing the mission in a group and you should have the key.
Simple question... its it MEANT to look like that? I mean, its an HK 21 really, but isn't it meant to at least have a box magazine or a duel snail style one??
Where are the rounds!?! Are they "magic"? lol
Same for me and a friend on PC.
A clan member I joined had "already done" the manhunt. However, when he redid it with me it ended up that he'd actually NEVER even managed to activate the last bounty! He'd done the prerequisites but apparently the last bounty only went live when he played through the exact same things as me i.e. the DCD mission never activated.
So, 2nd time around for him, 1st for me and now we're both stuck with no key.
Odd thing, we went to the WH, spoke to Kelso but when looking at the "legend" prompt to speak to her again and its not showing ANY key's being handed in, not even the 1st one! "0/2 keys" it says.
HOWEVER, I noted a Tweet by Yannik yesterday stating that this may be a bug linked to completing the DCD mission in a group. So, today, I will reset and run through it solo.
If anything changes let us know here etc.
@ubi-mark correct, is now starting to download... just over TWELVE hours late and after every single non-season pass owner has started playing.
Suffice to say we've been bitten too many times now Mark, I didn't enjoy the core game as much as Odyssey, nor is it anywhere near as a polished or quality product in both gameplay and graphics when side-by-side compared with Odyssey. I won't be buying another AC title now, I've already disavowed buying any new Ghost Recon titles due to the fiasco of Breakpoint, I only had The Division IP as my solid, go-to, with Ubisoft and after recent announcements it looks increasingly like the way that IP is being abused I won't be buying those games either.
Its a sad time indeed.
