Hello, I have since Mid November until today several random freezes, mainly followed by a crash without error message. I don't know why, but the freezes/crashes happen more frequently last frew day. Before i had a random freeze/crash and played few days without any error. Now I have within 30 Minutes at least 2 crashes. By 2 freezes I had to end the game with taskmanager.
It happens, like I wrote, randomly, during travel with horse, a cutscene, walking around, during battle, etc......
Looking at Eventmanger, etc...I got error messages .:
Problem Event Name: LiveKernelEvent
Code: 141
Parameter 1: ffffd38d1e041460
Parameter 2: fffff80596652298
Parameter 3: 0
Parameter 4: 2f54
OS version: 10_0_19042
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 768_1
Operating system version: 10.0.19042.2.0.0.768.101
-> (connected with nvlddmkm error message)
Then a deeper view I saw also D3DDRED2 error messagee, connected with Assassins Creed Valhalla.exe.
At first I checked my Hardware/Software for errors, but no problems found.
Did a reinstall of GPU driver (RTX 2080 / 8GB ), I used the last 2 drivers + current driver - same error.
Updated my Windows 10 to current version...no change regarding errors
All other drivers (sound, etc) up to date.
No Overheating during game.
I have with no other games problems. I have only with Valhalla the above-mentioned problems.
I think the problem is Valhalla itself, but during my search some answered "no, it's your faulty hardware and not AC Valhalla".
Is known that Ubisoft know about the crashes like this one? Have more such crashes like me? Is my assumption possibly right that Valhalla could be the problem?
Currently I will stop playing ACV.
Sadly, I had almost 95 hours no problems and now I have 2 crashes within 30-45 minutes.

Hi,
i'm still new to Division 2. But I noticed that Division 2 tend to crash/freeze more like other games I have played. I've red a lot to the topic crashes and freezes.
So, what I noticed after I bought this game were freezes and crashes (first freeze, than windowed mode and crash), without any error reports. Not able to play 5 minutes. I tried some changes, even to DX 11 - worked for two days. Then again freeze/crash windowed mode, no error reports. Closing only via Task Manager.
Deeper look, noticed that the Anti Cheat Software is spamming my system reports all 5 minutes. Started game with suggestion as Admin and verifying game files. See there, worked and with Admin I have only one or even no system report from the Anti Cheat Software.
Worked for 2 days. Started Game as Admin, but now I got freeze, wasn't able to get into the Task Manager. After few moments the game crashes with error report for the Divsion 2.exe. (Only when in Admin Mode, without Admin Mode I got the freeze/crash without any crash report).
I noticed that the freeze/crash happened when I had an System Update (Windows) before. Even Updates for Apps at Microsoft Store causes Division 2 to crash.
I played last days first without verifying games files after System Updates and Division 2.exe (in Admin Mode) freezed/crashed after max. 5 minutes.
Played now with Admin Mode and verifying games files after every System Update ( doesn't matter important Update or Microsoft Store App Update ) and had no crashes/freezes since then.
First I thought my PC is the faulty part....or is it just an imagination from my side? Because, I don't no the connection that even after App Update Divsion 2 tend to freeze/crash. Has someone else similar experience or I'm alone with that? Or I'm wrong to think that Windows Updates causes Divison 2 to freeze/crash.
In short what I did to play without freezes/crashes (until now)
@ubisushivamp
Hi,
yes, I confirm that this method works currently. The game installs, after verifying game files, again the needed files for directx, etc. After that is done, the game runs again without crashes and freezes.
But what the connection between Windows Updates (System and/or even Microsoft Store Updates) with Divsion 2 is.....I don't know.
This method I have to do every time after an Update and/or I had an freeze/crash.
And what I also noticed regarding freezes/crashes (when they happen):
Running game without Admin, the game freezes -> windowed mode -> only via Taskmanager to close. No crash report. But Anti Cheat Software spamming the Sytemreports, entries every 5 minutes
Running game as Admin, the game freezes -> full window stays -> can't access Taskmanager-> crash. Crash report Division2.exe. Only one entry of Anti Cheat Software or even no entry.
Hi,
I noticed that for Game Version is shown "unofficial", when I did a Benchmark test.. Have the same shown in my ingame/inventory menu. Was sure I saw here also anonther gamer with the same "problem"?
I bought this game including New York DLC in Ubisoft Online Store this September. I'm afraid that Ubisoft will say I have an illegal version of this game.
The last patch in patch history ingame is 1.12.
Did I something wrong? Anybody knows what happened here? is this known? Attachted a screenshot....
@ubisushivamp
so, luckily te Ubisoft Connect Client seems to work again. I gave already a feedback. Sadly, the freezes and crashes continues. I bought Division 2 on 12.09.21 here in Ubsoft Online Store. I was able to play without any problemes until 30.09.21. From this day I have almost every playthrough a freeze/crash.
I had always before Updates Windows/Micorsoft Apps. My thought, there was a connection. Now I have the same problems without an Update before.
Currently, I have to start always as Admin -> verifying game files -> then start the game. Without these steps, a playthrough without freezes/crashes is impossible.
@khaelon
I bought the game last month and had in the beginnging of the freeze/crash period the same error. Afterwards, with starting game in Admin mode, my Division2.exe made errors + AntiCheat spammed errors all 5 minutes (kernel error).
Currently I have a working solution - at least for my game - starting the client in admin mode and afterwards the game exe itself also in admin mode. start the game not in ubisoft connect.
Do this since last thursday and had no freezes/crashes - also no anti cheat spam.
My hope...it's not just luck....
@kraziagent
I'm with you. But honestly, I can't guarantee that this will also work for you. Maybe I had just luck and next playthrough I have again freeze/crash ( what I don't hope). I can't say what the cause is, I have some assumptions regarding Anti Cheat, the Client itself, Memory Leak, etc. The crashes didn't start yesterday, it's a well known problem. My only hope that the devs will fix it before Division 3....In the meanwhile I hope it could be a good workaround for you.
@ubi-milky
Hi,
I have the same issue since several days.
First it started with a growing time for the initializing....it took sometimes 30 minutes and nothing happened. In the meanwhile I got after a few minutes the error message 'A Ubisoft service is currently unavailable. Please try again later'.
I tried regarding troubleshooting suggestions from Ubisoft everything what I could. A delete of the cache helped for the first start, the next start same issue again. The issue returns every time
When Ubisoft Connect is online after a while, I got also after few moments a message that the connection to the Ubisoft server is lost and will reconnect while I'm playing.
And I start every time as Admin, because of Division 2 and the ongoing freezes and crashes of the game.
I hadn't such issues before, now it's an permanent problem. With Steam, etc...there are no problems.
@ubi-mark
yes, I can confirm. Tried almost everything except install the whole windows again.
After the last Division 2 freeze/crash today
(now with a nvlddmkm display error additionally, what makes me so happy
) I updated the display driver to the latest/started windows new -> Ubisoft Connect as Admin - > it's the first time since several days that the programme started without a session of "very long "initializing" and after a second I was on the main page.
Hello @ubi-mark
Regarding Ubisoft Connect, I can tell that since last Update, Ubisoft Connect starts again without very long initializing and Ubisoft Server Connect Errors. After deeper look, I can tell that the problem was from 5.October to 13.October....the time period of the penultimate Update of Ubisoft Connect and the last Ubisoft Connect Update. Whatever you did, it solved at last the problem with your client....finger cross it stays so....

I found "currently" a working solution without freezes/crashes. Maybe it's connected to the Ubisoft Connection Update?
What I do, I start the client as admin and afterwards the game exe itself as admin. I don't start the game via client.
I didn't veryfied the game files since last thursday and had no single freezes/crashes. Also the AntiCheat don't create/spam any kernel errors since then. My hope.....it's not just luck, but a working solution for the future
