I feel that Ubi should just lose the whole Animus shtick with this series. IMO the "real world" stuff is the most tedious and boring part of the game.
Might be too late to ask for or expect this but now that I am entering late game and have lots of gear to play around with, I really wish there was some way of having gear profiles to make changing weapons and runes easier.
Since the last patch my game just randomly freezes! I can't close the window, ALT+F4 or get to task manager because the frozen game is locked in the foreground. All I can do is restart my computer every time it happens which is 2-3 times a day.
I do not understand the Randvi romance option at all. There is no history that you experience in gameplay to forge that connection. They (Randvi and Eivor) claim to have always had feelings for each other yet there is no evidence of this.
The best and obvious choice for romance, imo, would be Soma. You actually form a bond with her through the story interactions.
I don't really understand the point of romance aside from getting to plow whenever you want but you don't even get to see anything! The only thing I can see it does is make things awkward when you break up. I haven't tried breaking up with Randvi but the other romance options seem to never speak to you again.
It would be nice if your crew members could have stats or roles to assign? Actually collecting loot, reviving party members, able to force doors with one hit, just spit-ballin here but seems like yet another missed opportunity by the devs. I know COVID has been tough on everyone but the company I work for is still producing and innovating while working remotely.
@md67man what he said, it's their stun bar. Once it is depleted, by hitting weak points and parrying with a high stun weapon or shield, then the enemy is stunned and open to a stun attack that deals a large amount of damage. I won't call it a finisher because they usually still have some health left after, unless you were attacking in between the stuns.
@wr3cker_dk Seems to be working for me as well! Thanks for this!
I have to say that I am loving this game! This is like Skyrim good imo! The story, the graphics, all top-notch! That being said I am shocked by the number of bugs in a full-release game, really feels more like early access, very early access. I have seen issues with quest objectives disappearing/becoming bugged and having to load a previous save, mechanics of climbing and parkouring need polish - very awkward and not as fluid as I would like, just this morning I encountered a parrying bug that just kept doing the missile reversal animation with no bow equipped - I exited the game but have not gone back in yet to see if the issue persists. I am also disappointed by the seeming lack of attention given to these issues by Ubi in the way of updates/patches.
Love it, would recommend, but needs alot of fixes and polish imo.
@chevy_man2010 I haven't been with a prossy before but $130 sounds like the going rate for getting f*****!
I love parties just as much as the next pagan but does it ALWAYS have to be Samhain? It is seriously 4th wall breaking here and not a good Deadpool way! Would be nice if it were made into a season event!

So I was immediately bored and unimpressed by AC: Unity and that's when I lost touch with the series, but of course I couldn't pass up on the opportunity to play as a viking so now I'm back. I also am not really a fan of Spartans so Odyssey didn't initially appeal to me either, but now I wonder if I should give it a try.
Is it just me or does Aelfgar seem sus to anyone else? Not sure if he is just trying to ingratiate himself to Eivor or what by showing what such a "good friend" he is to the Danes by having one come along on this mystery hunt, the whole thing just seems awkward. Even the soldier attack on his estate could have been staged.
I should have said "seemed" to fix it, just crashed again albeit was the first time in a couple of days.
@saddlersm I think you can get raw materials from chests randomly and as rewards from missions, but there are definitely be enough materials to make all of the upgrades.
Once I make an upgrade, I'm going to throw a feast and see if I only get +3 or +6, I think each upgrade gives +3 to the associated stat. I didn't pay much attention to this on my first playthrough tho.
@quor321 thanks, that is definitely a non-insulting way of putting it, but just because you know what you know about computers and gaming, I don't know why you would assume others don't know that as well. It's not like you have exclusive information, just something to think about.
All said and done, the game was running fine and then after an update it started crashing, Nvidia updated drivers around the same time and crashing got worse, logs point to the game and Nvidia driver as the culprit.
I would be happy to provide logs, dump file, anything and everything Ubisoft would ask for, if they cared enough to ask that is.
In case it was missed, changing the Screen settings to Borderless was the workaround.
Sometimes there are other conditions that need to be met to progress in the story, like maybe upgrading your settlement more?
@angrywatt0 happens randomly with various missions, only thing you can do is load a save.
