@ubi-mark maybe you could also pass the issue that AMD FX is broken (stretching both cutscenes AND phone scan view) on Ultrawide monitors as i reported here: https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/111866/phone-scan-view-stretched-on-21-9-ultrawide-when-using-amd-fx-super-resolution?lang=en-US
I didnt expect a fix but at least a response that it will be taken into consideration as this is a real problem, i reported the same on reddit r/widescreengamingforum where someone was able to fix the ultrawide cutscenes issue, even there i got an answer and a HEX fix, which unfortunately is not working as the implementation on FX in this game is broken for ultrawide users!
@johnson9191 You probably use AMD FX Super Resolution? When i use it, it stretches cutscenes but also the phone scan view.. Turning it off removes the stretching, i reported this 4h ago but no Ubi support person have even responded.
There is a fix to get fullscreen cutscenes here: https://www.reddit.com/r/widescreengamingforum/comments/q2w6t3/far_cry_6_ultrawide_cutscene_fix_hor/
But it mess the UI in menus. I tried it, works fine for cutscenes, but AMD FX will still stretch anything.
Hi, to add to the issue with the cutscenes for ultrawide users,
When AMD FX Super Resolution is activated (i do need it as my now older 1080ti starts to struggle a bit in uwqhd), the phone scan view is stretched. Using FX also causes that the cutscenes are stretched (black bars on top and below but stretched image)..
As it is impossible to attach or include a 3440x1440 image in this forum (why is this not possible...?), here is a screenshot of it -> https://imgur.com/a/B7ADknl
Hope this can be fixed, without AMD FX, i have to reduce drastically all quality settings to keep min 60 FPS without FX while with FX Ultra Quality i can play full Ultra settings (without HD Textures)...
Then maybe you should share the feedback that on the German, French and Spanish (just checked manually by changing the url), there wasn't and isn't any banner about the outage! You might understand that Ubisoft Support Site is geolocating their visitors and when i get redirected from Ubisoft Connect's splashscreens by clicking on the "ubisoft support" link, i'm not redirected to the en-us one but de-de in my case.
In the future, this might be helpful for your non USA customers that they get the same informations.... C'est une companie Française quand même
Merci, thank you, Danke!
How is it possible that the main Ubisoft Support Website doesn't even mention that there is an outage affecting ALL GAMES Ubisoft Plus Subscribers may want to play? This outage is lasting since yesterday 5pm CET!
The only "change" on this site is that the Chat Support has been disabled!
How a paying subscriber has to search for tweets or whatever small posts in the oblivion of your forums to understand that there is actually an issue? Why can't your Support Lead not being HONEST and put a red marked Information there so that people that not using Twitter or your Forums may be able to understand that this issue is not on their side?
I absolutely know that you first level guys here in the forums are not responsible for any issues and have to copy paste the same "statements" all over again but all this looks more like a 2 man Indie Game Company Support than a multi Bilion Corporation one.
Issues may happen, but they way Ubi (dont) communicate towards their customers is middly infuriating!
@vaelnir Technically, they can access to your savegame, they can edit it (even it's by loading it and using the dev console to -additem xyz) so they could fix this. BUT i guess, they dont want to be overwhelmed by thousands of players having this issue now... As i could see, there was a "higher" priority to make all beggars sleep all day so that you cant farm runes to make couple credits anymore.. And since yesterday i get multiple crashs again.. It's a disaster. Gonna play Chernobylite i guess and wait another year for this game being playable decently.
Ah yes, forgot, i also got now a bug where my poultry requires never ending upgrades..
go open a support ticket, they should just add some materials to your savegame. This shouldnt be a big issue for them (however, there may be a lot of ones having this issue i guess).
My problem is still there, wont drop me the Arc of Elan when i try to take it.. This and all the online service errors i encounter.. Makes hard times to really get fun in this game
thanks for your response. I assume i'm just middly infuriated about those issues (which are experiencing a lot of people with this game, and just this one). Especially as we are talking about a single player game where online servicing doesnt really offer anything more to the player than a ingame shop for microtransactions.
However, i know that you guys here are the last responsible for this and what you can do is surely limited. If it felt i'm kinda hitting on you guys, sorry for that, as said, i'm just middly infuriated..
Regarding the ports, i've set custom rules for every single exe from ubisoft game launcher folder to ALL, both UDP & TCP, ALL Protocols, ALL Services, just everything, i've added 80, 443 also manually just to follow 100% of what Ubisoft requires - i did not just "allow an app through firewall" but went over the manual setup. I'm not the kind of guy opening a thread on a forum when i did not try every possible thing existing adn bug checking everything on my side, i'm a freelancing IT project manager, so i'm good at rolling out stuff that doesnt work because poorly designed and then finding solution to fix issues (sorry had to say this). So for me, it can only be an Ubisoft services side issue, i'm likely allowing Ubisoft to communicate with my PC / Network without any protection/restriction or whatsoever. I would never do this usually, but i did, just because i did want to find out whats actually going on.
That said, i dont know if i'm up to spend more time with a support ticket because i guess it wont help (just from my experience when i look at what happening with this game). Regarding the "online service errors" my solution will be simple. I will from now on start the connect, then the game, then i cut off my internet connection and just ignore the opal / reda stuff and other players vikings as those from my settlement viking house are lvl3 and i finished the river raids, so it doesnt really change the game for me now (especially due to that crash i documented below in Croinedene). And it will also fix the online service error popups everytime i go to the map and accidentally hover on a picture as they dissapear when i'm offline..
To the crashs. I'm experiencing two types of "crashs".
First is that the game just quits without any error, i get no entry in my event viewer - so not program related, and the ubisoft client tells me below in yellow something like "There was an Ubisoft online service error, while you continue playing, we will try to restore it, the client my look weird during this time" (translated from french). So when i cut my internet connection, i can still play but when some online service has an issue, i get thrown out the game.
Second, the game also quits without any error, connect performs the achievement sync - event viewer tells my the nvidia driver crashed and restored. This happens only with AC:V - I played WD:Legion just before and neither crashs nor online service erros. Setting up my nvidia control panel to "debug" in order to force my (Stock overclocked Asus Strix GPU) to nvidia standard clocks for that GPU does not change anything.
The crashs happend almost all in Hamtunscire around the north east sync point while farming tungsten. However, today i experienced a new one, and this time, reproducable crash. I killed the legendary bull in Suthsexe then rode to Croineden to pick up the risgosdur fragment in the longhouse. Just before entering, i recruited the other players jomsviking, then entered the longhouse door on the left, after a couple steps into it, crash. So i restarted, my save was again from the bulls location, rode to this point and got again the same crash, couple steps after entering the longhouse. I did this 3 times in a row. That's astonishing bug.. So then i started over again but didnt recruit the jomsviking but walked a bit around the house and did enter on the side instead of the front door. No crash this time..
You see that some of all those problems are just amazingly strange. So maybe just pass this to your dev team or whoever is working on the integration of your online services into that game. I guess i've already spent too much time with all this bug checking so i'm gonna just finish the game (i'm not so far from the end) by playing like i said without internet (unless maybe i get thrown out if i'm offline too long, lets see).
I forgot something (i cant edit my post anymore) but i'm not sure it's an issue.
The Berserker Mission will not pop up in the letter box, i became however the Berserker Pack stuff (only after i cut my internet connection while being ingame and reenabling it after - then when restarting the game, i got all the stuff (armor, tatoo etc)...
i use Uplay+ to play AC Valhalla, since i've started to play (a month ago), i've got so far:
- ingame shop not working at all, online service error (now solved)
- online service error when hovering community pictures, either mine or other ones. (as i could see over the web, reddit, forums here, it's an issue for LOTS of players BUT not even in the Known Issues Megathread!!)
- Beowulf mission not working (solved today)
- random crashs to desktop without error (especially in one single region - still analysing with nVidia debug)
- randomly getting thrown out of the game without error BUT connect saying "some online service error, while you continue playing - well not as i get thrown out - we continue to blabla etc in yellow in the app below.
Now, after i tried to solve all the above errors today by doing the following:
- Changing E-Mail and Password to new ones, my account was pretty "old", so though maybe kinda reset my account would help.
- Going into the menu, then opening "Ubisoft Connect Overlay", to get the Beowulf Mission Letter in the long house.. Astonishing..
- Allowing ALL uplay / ubisoft connect executables in the Windows Firewall (only ubisoft connect was allowed before)
- Allowing ALL traffic from my computer by setting it in DMZ, uPnP, disabling Teredo List in my router
- Setting up manually the 80,443 ports (whyever if ALL traffic was allowed, but hey, why not) for connect
I still have the bloody hover on pictures error (code: 0x20100302) and out of nowhere, i can't open Reda's Shop anymore. When trying i get "A problem occured while connecting to an online service etc, with error code: 0xb00001f4". I can still accept the daily contracts.. Of course, i reset my LAN connection, restarted (cold restart) my PC... Fast traveled and back, nothing helps, the error code is not even documented nor google knows it.
The Reda shop was at least working for me ALL THE TIME. How can this happen that it doesnt work anymore when i just basically openend everything i can on my computer? This makes no sense at all!
Yes, i'm getting tired of this, as said it's a single player game and beside those crashs (which are happening only with AC:V - I played 80h of WD: Legion just before without ANY issue or crash to desktop!) - i'm getting overwhelmed with online service error. Today it's just taking me all the fun of even playing this game.
Please advise what i can do more or who's gonna solve my issues because i wont paying anymore for a Uplay Plus service which seems not to work properly.
