Seeing a lot of HEAT about the early access to streamers and youtubers. I get the point everyone is making on both sides of the fences. But, I think one side is being too blinded and its the very reason why things will never change.
I pre-ordered this game, DAY 1, ultimate edition. I have about roughly 10-12 other friends who I know have also pre-ordered the game. Why can't we play early like the streamers do? Or better yet, why do we have to pay to play on day 1, when streamers get paid via ad revenue to play in early access, a game that essentially they didn't even pay for. Assassin's Creed IS NOT a new title, if you going to buy it, you decided that already, whether you have pre-ordered it or not, you have already made the decision to buy it. I hopped on 2 twitch streams and 1 sentence plagues my mind vividly, I have never played through an entire Assassin's Creed but I got early access to stream so here it is.....So these aren't even real fans of the franchise. These are market streamers, they play whats popular for a few weeks then move on to another game. Watching some of them play this is almost cringeworthy at best.
In my opinion, and its just that, my opinion, I would NOT purchase a game a streamer plays just cause they said it was good. I know how marketing works, for all we know they can be bored senseless but are under obligation via $$$ to look like they enjoying a game. I will believe my friend who bought it and recommended it. So why not let the gamers play early access as well? I guarentee you, we will reach more audience than a few twitch streamers who barely get over 1k views per stream or barely get 50-70k views on a YT video. I'm pretty sure there is over 70k pre-orders across the world, if everyone got early access and told a friend how good it was, was that not more effective (and cheaper since we ACTUALLY PAID for the game)
Several other companies and game developers will do early access to streamers BUT they also give early access to those who pre-ordered as well. Keeping it a level playing field for all
