The biggest improvement I could think of is simply, Have more people beta test the game. if AC is going to continue in this Open-World Style RPG system Send out Beta Tester keys to 100k Active Ubisoft Connect Players. The Beta Testers Would be prompted to give any feedback at the end of their session every time they load the game, and if they recorded the gameplay to send it as an attachment to help the devs understand what issues exist, so this doesn't happen to the next launch. Have Beta testers agree to an NDA that appears before downloading the game so any recordings can't be published before a certain date.
Another improvement would be to fix the inventory bug for duplicating armor cause I have 2 huntsmen and 2 Gallogach (Butchered Spelling) torso armors. my buddy has 15 huntsman chests. I have no idea how to remove the extra.
Dual wielding is pretty lame in this game & underwhelming. Spear & Shield are pretty powerful. with reach and defense for those playing on Drengr settings.
The Settlement Wolf should be able to be pet, same with Sunin, the Fox & the Boat cat you acquire. just little stuff makes the game so much better.
Add the transmog (Armor appearance changer) back in from odyssey.
Add a sunin progression system like Origins and Odyssey had for Senu & Ikoros
I might be alone on this one but i've been going back and forth between origins, odyssey and Valhalla lately and the combat in odyssey was the smoothest by far. Valhalla a good second. so the combat isn't so bad just some of the abilities do break the smoothness in combat as stated before.
The loot in valhalla is fine, I do think adds should drop more resources the higher their level.
The store I think is the worst thing Ubi has done to the AC series and I wish they'd get rid of it. but it makes money after the initial release so that won't happen any time soon.
I don't think Valhalla is the greatest AC game to date. I still think ACII is the best but Valhalla does rank in my top 6. personally the story for me wasn't the best it felt very patched together with the order and the alliance map being fairly seperated most of the time. I think the Order should have been what directly moved eivor throughout the game making him go from one area to another to fight them and along the way, he built this alliance of his to protect his clan and to keep his oath to sigurd. Would've been good to build up to a moment between Eivor and Haythm on if he would join the Hidden Ones or not, would've been cool but sadly a missed opportunity imo.
these are some of my thought not all but a few of them.
140 hrs. 100% every location, mission, etc...
Only had this happen to me once and I assume it was bugged because it happened during one of the 3 sisters and I had to fight her and a band of boars.
I remember avenging players in Origins (still to this day i can get on it and see an avenge player marker and go to it within 2 mins of loading the game) and Odyssey and it was always human NPCs that I had to kill I don't ever recall having to kill animals for an avenge mission.
Regardless this is the last challenge I need to do, I hope the next update fixes this or they push a hotfix out for this soon.
I'd prefer to see more effort in terms of story development and DLCs to the main single-player game. over a MP that will require upkeep and updates as well.
Maybe a CO-OP system for raiding or something that they attempted in unity but executed better that tied in with the SP aspect but a definitive MP nah I'll pass.
Even though I used to love the Old ACB & ACR Multiplayers.

I can agree that more interaction with Sunin should happen. A way to upgrade Sunin over time like in origins and odyssey would've been nice but isn't needed. If they included Sunin in your cutscenes more like they included Ikaros in Odyssey it would've solved this issue IMO.
Mounted Combat should return it's been in the AC series since the first game. whoever thought let's just make him kick instead of (Axe, Sword, Spear, etc...) should be fired. Not having mounted combat is just bonkers to me.
Armour sets. I can agree there should be more armor in the game, as well as more weapon types (Regular swords *hint*)
My only other complaint would be the longship. I'd like to see longships fighting each other. (I know nothing of history but I'm sure it happened) or being able to have your longship rain arrows down on a riverside road with guards and watching them being pierced and flayed by your raiding parties arrows. this would've been a nice touch, could've added upgrade for the longship, health/armor, arrow damage, arrow capacity, reload speed (re-nocking? the word for resting an arrow onto the nock of the bow).
Raiding party - they never seem to die? the immortal raiding party, I think it'd be fair if you had some generic Raid NPC that could die during a raid, then a marker would appear above their bodies and you'd perform a burial ritual (ceremony? IDK the proper word) for them, you'd see a short cutscene of building pyres, eivor getting a dialogue of 3 options to talk about them and then your lieutenant would talk about them and then light the pyres. I think it'd give some depth and realism to raiding since raiders contrary to Valhalla don't live forever. Maybe make other players jomsviking able to die as well and have them have a special cutscene with more unique dialogue. Making that character unusable for the next 24 hours. which would give reason to the 100 jomsviking limit.
This is a spitball idea i just came up with might not be perfect might have some holes in it but it's an idea.

yeah, the demand from the fanbase for more content is quite high, I can agree on that. I more so like seeing new mechanics added to games over new maps/areas/armors etc... personally. Even though mechanics can be buggier than just adding new armor I'd rather see the effort of say
making Ravensthorpe have alerts for when bandits raid it and you have to get you and your Vikingrs to protect the city. then the building in your settlement that states something along the lines of "responsible for the fortifications of Ravensthorpe could be used for posting tree stands with archers on guard, maybe building wooden walls that get slightly more complex as you upgrade it. and these fortifications can take damage and you either have to repair them which will cost supplies or if you don't have enough supplies have to deal with it until you can go raid for some.
something simple like that, I'd say it should come into aspect later in the game so early on players can focus on building the town up but once you hit settlement lv5 Ravensthorpe should be large enough to be warranted for bandits to hit it.
@orcbeard92
I've fired a few times from my boat never noticed my guys do anything i've heard them say things never seen them fire tho. i'll keep a closer when i get on valhalla next time.

yeah i'm glad someone agrees on the vikingrs/drengr should be able to die.
I've received arrow fire a few times but my boat never fires back. I have not seen a single one of my vikingrs shoot an arrow, i didn't think they could for the longest. To say the least. I just feel like since he commands the ship that you should be able to command the vikingrs to pull their bows while the rowers keep rowing maybe at a reduced speed because fewer rowers (but then if the sail is up what does it matter?) I just think it's a small thing that would have created something more to work on in the game.
While it shouldn't be such a large volley as Odyssey you should see a small group of arrows, kinda like how mortars were in AC4 but way less range and area of effect and lower damage but concentrated enough to kill low level adds and decent damage to decent spec'd adds.
@asgardian02
then just do them since they are part of the story... I'm sure the story will continue as it has so far after doing the alliance map like usual.
@asgardian02
You get a unique dialogue with NPCs who have allied with you when you go to rescue sigurd which is why I finished all the other areas then went for Sigurd, I also liked not having to have Sigurd around as much.
Just continue on with the map eventually he'll stop mopping around. The Alliance map is technically the main story. you'll end up finishing it by the end of the game.

Do that area than, if you just got Sigurd back, a feast should happen then or eventually.
I completed almost all the other alliance quests & Vinland before rescuing Sigurd cause I wanted a large army with me. so I didn't have to do any other alliance map stuff after rescuing him besides hamtunshcire I believe.
@asgardian02
talk to Randvi? that should move the quest forward. check your quest log it should be there under ravensthorpe.
@alec_fortescue
Could add reshade options to change the colouring of the cloth, mail, plate, etc... on outfits.
Could also add a blood stain option Off/Low/Med/High for how much blood you want on the outfit.
just ideas and dreams. but would be nice none the less.
