Hello Valhalla team! AMD is releasing FSR 2.0 which is a great news. Since this is an AMD sponsored title and you guys are supporting this game through year two, can we pc players hope that you might be interested in implementing FSR 2.0 into this game? That would be wonderful. Thanks!
Hi devs. Since AMD is releasing FSR 2.0, can we please get FSR 2.0 support in this game? Thanks!
@satsworld Hi;
It's been over two months since I have brought this to your attention. Are you looking into this?
I can give you two solutions for this which should be relatively easy to implement in the rendering pipeline.
FIrst: Let users choose their maximum and minimum internal resolutions which would be then upscaled using the game's TAA to its final output resolution. Which is a bit more robust.
Or Second: This is the relatively easier one, choose the internal resolutions for the low, mid and high TAA to 66%, 83% and 100% instead of the 85%, 91%, 100% values.
Note that rendering the game at 80% resolution scaling brings the internal resolutions in parity with PS5. But the game does not use its TAA upscaling to upscale the image to 4k. It only upscales the image to 80% of 4k which is significantly blurrier than the PS5 output.
Would love to get some comments on this from the tech team. Or at least some workaround through the config file would be greatly appreciated.
@ubi-borealis Well. We got a title updare today and the game still renders at an internal lock of 1836p minimum at 4k. Any news from the dev team?
Oh and also a bunch of crashes!
Hi, I am quite enjoying Valhalla. But slight performance drops in settlements keep it from being perfect for me. On consoles XSX and PS5, this game scales down internally to 1440p on a 4k output according to Digital Foundry, however on pc its limited to 1836p. Myself and I believe a lot of pc gamers would really appreciate if we could also go down dynamically to 1440p minimum using adaptive 'antialiasing' option while playing at 4k.
