Is there anyway we can do resistance difficulty without permadeath forced on?

Would love to get this game and play it on the hardest difficulty, but I do not like permadeath idea.

I am a extreme hardcore type gamer that likes to play on the hardest difficulty setting.

So for ACV I was planning to play it on Drengr (hardest) difficulty setting, so I wanted some feedback on how tough it actually is?

I have heard some mixed views on this difficulty whilst trying to research it on reddit. Some people say it can be hard at the start of the game, but because their is no scaling of enemies you can over power them easily as you progress. Is this true?

What if I am a completionist type of player aswell, could that mean I can easily over power everyone by end game?
