I would love if they could explain this, I've just seen this game and then heard some dudes talking about outbreak. Went to youtube and saw the 1 hour version with no commentary gamepaly. Would love to be able to play those maps

For those who aren't aware, the "Xbox Game Bar" is an app/interface that comes already installed by default with Windows 10/11 so you have it too. It's used to talk with Xbox Console friends from your PC, kinda like the "Shift + F2" Ubisoft interface, but pressing "Windows button + G". It's a cross platform chat & there you can also see what your Xbox friends are playing, chat with them, check Achievement progress, etc. You can open this interface even if you're not playing a game, so it will work even if you're watching a Youtube video, using Spotify, or reading this.
Xbox PC Game Pass has more than 100+ games & Rainbow Six Extraction is one of them, but it's the only game of those 100+ where the Xbox Game Bar doesn't work. If I try to open the Game Bar when I'm playing Extraction, nothing happens, so I have to minimize the game in order to open it, which isn't that bad. The real problem starts if I want to voice-chat with those Xbox Console friends, the Game Bar doesn't recognize when I press my push-to-talk button if I'm playing Rainbow Six Extraction at the same time. So basically, it's a PC Game Pass title but it doesn't support an important PC Xbox feature.
The other problem it doesn't affect me that much but I'd like to report it too. When you play a game in PC, the Game Bar recognizes it and it updates your profile as "Playing + the name of the game/app". Kinda like Discord. It's not the case with Rainbow Six Extraction, Xbox doesn't recognize it as a game, neither does Discord, so if you're playing Extraction you'll be ''Online'' in both platform instead of "Playing Rainbow Six Extraction". It affects me a bit because some friends send me multiple messages if they see me Online and not "playing..." a game.

So I've heard it was only gonna be released through Ubisoft Connect in Pc. Sadly this impacts me & my friends because we're from a 3rd world country with a poor economy and here citizens are charged extra if they try to use foreign currencies like USD. Thankfully Steam (Microsoft Store/Xbox Store PC too) has regional prices here, so basically it's the only way to buy games for us. Otherwise if you want to buy games in Playstation, Epic Store, etc you kinda have to be rich to buy games (100USD here after taxes), almost a minimum salary or half of it.
Where could I ask if they eventually plan to release it on steam at some points and get an official answer? Thanks sorry if it was already asked

Achievements in Xbox are a huge thing, that's why users have been complaining about EA not having Xbox achievements if you play their games through PC Game Pass. So will this be the same case with Extraction? Will R6E have Xbox Achievements if you play it through the Xbox PC Game Pass?
Will the game be downloadable directly through the PC Xbox App or users will be forced to install a whole launcher (Ubiconn) just for a single game? Yes, EA forces users to install their EA Launcher, but they do it because they have lots of games in PC Game Pass. I don't think people will install Ubiconn just to play a single game. That's why I think the game has to be "Play Anywhere" in Xbox, meaning that it's published directly in the Microsoft Xbox Store and users aren't forced to install anything extra, they just play directly from the Xbox App. This also enables Xbox regional prices for countries where Ubiconn Store is not supported. @rizz768 probably because of the same reason the game kicks you out for inactivity, you're using a slot in their servers that can be used by another person, not sure tho. It does sounds horrible but that's why in the physical & digital copy of the game it says with caps on "requires internet at all times"

@hms-wedge I don't agree but I agree. You see, when I first booted the game back in November 2021, I didn't understand why the enemies just vanished in the air, I didn't like that at all. Then after playing a bit, I understood I was playing a VR training mode. Now they included a cinematic so it's more easily understandable, but still, I invited my friends & I had to sit in the menu for like 15 minutes waiting for them to finish the tutorial. When I play I like to be the one explaining things to my friends because they won't pay attention to the screen if they're on a call with me, that happens with everyone. I already requested being able to skip the tutorial in the TTS but they didn't listen so I don't think they will listen now.

@t4k0kun You can't have DLSS and FSR at the same time. If you want to turn on DLSS you need to disable dynamic resolution setting the resolution to "Fixed 100%"

@issacdeezsnuta It's RNG, doing it twice won't guarantee anything. You need to do it at least 6 times in order to get everything, and consider there are 3 proteans so you might not get the same one. You'll basically have to grind a lot for it.

@suetyloki8 exactly my case dude, got a series s and also a powerful pc capable of running 4k games, so it's obvious I wanna win xbox achievements from my pc. I wouldn't be requesting this if they never announced the game in PC Game Pass. I hope Rainbow Six Extraction is Play Anywhere too

@yinula_wanobyte it might sound horrible answer but as long as you're playing on a console, you won't get fov sliders in lots of games. For instance, console players didn't even know what FoV was until they compared themselves with PC players when crossplay became a thing. Fov sliders can't be a massive thing on consoles these days due to its hardware limitations, the real solution in this case is to switch to PC. Just remember, only now with this generation console gamers have started to demand 60fps in games, and remember they were defending 30 FPS some years ago when they discussed with PC players.

@ubi-orion same here, I had to go back to the old drivers and now it works, the thing is, other games do not work with these old drivers, so I got to install the new ones to play those games & uninstall them to install the old ones when I want to play Extraction.

@ubi-thrupney I just wanted to point out something. Usually, while in a game not recognized by the Xbox Game Bar, users can press Win + G, go to settings & 'mark' the app/game selecting an option that says "Remember this is a game". This makes it so your Xbox profile shows to your friends what you're doing/playing. E.G you can even use this option with Spotify and your Xbox profile will say you're on Spotify. (see the pic below). This is not the case with Extraction, if you press Win + G & go to settings, the option "Remember this is a game" is missing completely, I think this is related to Vulkan.

@dead-lee_g The sistem is awesome and it doesn't need a change. If you play solo you get +50hp extra so the game becomes more easy.

@alucard_413 I disagree, I use jagger too all the time & I love him, he's very useful in many situations, he's fine as it is.

@ubi-thrupney Extraction is Vulkan only, so basically that previous answer is incorrect. Thanks anyway
