They Still havent added this issue to reported issues thread which makes me feel worried
Hopefully they will now that the weekend is over.
Does this happen (if at all) to others with non RTX gpu's?
Yes, I had a GTX 980 until yesterday and had massive problems with the textures when playing on medium settings even though I met all minimum requirements.
Yeah, I don't want to play the game when it's like this, which is unfortunate because I've really been looking forward to this launch. Thankful I got Ubisoft+ to play it and didn't pay 60 dollars for it.
OK, so I reinstalled Far Cry 5 and played through the intro. Zero problems. Can't be that big a difference between games (graphics etc), can it?
@sattium85 Yeah, that worries me a little.
Hi! Just wanted to chime in and let you guys know that I, too, have major issues with textures in this game. Now, I don't have a high-end PC so I don't expect things to look amazing for me personally but it honestly feels like I'm playing a PS2 game or something. It's really bad. Here are some screenshots (taken on high graphics):

My PC meets the minimum requirements, drivers are up to date and the game files are verified. It doesn't matter if the HD textures pack is enabled or disabled, the "fix" suggested does not work for me, and the troubleshooting guide unfortunately doesn't solve the issue either. Really hoping for some kind of solution because I can't enjoy the game this way.
@darkrtx2080 According to the in-game VRAM bar I have plenty left (almost half). Not sure how accurate it is.

@catherinecat93 Yeah, it did suck. I'm lucky though because I finally got my new PC yesterday. Upgraded to RTX 3070 and now I've been able to play the game on ultra settings (no HD texture pack) with very few issues. Although most textures are much better, a few of them (for example the hat on the dashboard in the car) look very bad still, which is strange. I don't get it. I also don't get why it works quite well for me now but not for several others with the same or even better GPUs.
