The community asked you repeatedly for the SAME feature that existed in Odyssey. Very straightforward request. And what are you doing instead? Overcomplicating it for reasons yet unknown (although we can easily throw a few guesses).
What's the point of not only having to pay silver to change an item, but also having to travel all the way to the only available trader in all of the maps at our disposable, to make a purely cosmetic change? It defeats the whole purpose of the feature: to try out different combinations of clothing on the fly and see what suits us best. I find it very hard to understand what your problem with this is, multiple games published by you do this, the Division 2 included. So why can't you?
You're trying to artificially increase the time players spend in the game by having them gather silver (or God forbid, buy silver with real money) and travel to the only place that provides the service, when all we wanted was an amusing QUALITY of life improvement. This is undoubtedly an addition to the game, but not of quality, and definitely not an improvement, considering Odyssey).
Quick tip: we just want a tab that shows all the customisation options for that piece of equipment we want to change, sort of like what appears on the jomsviking lieutenant customisation screen. So just create a cosmetic slot in the inventory menu. For example, instead of clicking to simply hide a piece of gear, clicking opens all the cosmetic options for that gear slot, whether it is to hide that piece, show it's original form or apply a new one to it. This doesn't need to be done to each individual piece, it can just be applied over the slot itself. You're welcome.
Fix this. Thank you.
