@aloninor going to have to agree with this op. i suffer from the "defensive measures" quest bug that basically prevents me from entering asgard, its something that has tonnes of threads and many people have complained about and its even been acknowledged by staff. yet its in neither the "know issues" or "megathread" threads. this is one example but ive seen plenty others not mentioned that are game breaking bugs.

@aloninor with the amount of bugs i personally have come passed, both minor and major issues, i would be sending video reports once a day and that is if i exclude it crashing randomly at any point of gameplay (usually every 1-2 hours for myself). its not my job to be a game tester and send these guys every bug i come across. I want to enjoy this game because i love AC but it is incredibly hard to grit my teeth at the amount of bugs scattered throughout the world. even harder when youre waiting on developers who are overloaded with the amount of issues they have to fix in their game to fix youre one game breaking bug.

@ubit00n you have been aware of this since two days after release. it isnt even mentioned singularly in the Megathreads or even in the "known issues" thread? both were updated as of the 30th and still not one mention that this is being looked at or worked on in the next patch update! 98 hours with basically everything else completed and finished im still locked out of a third of the entire game. i would like to see other ubisoft stuff who have acknowledged this problem in the past start giving us some updates on what is happening to this? @Ubi-Spud @Ubi-Woofer? @boondox83 is right you are ignoring this problem seemingly because you dont care to fix it. can you not simply put a reset on quests to restart quest progress and collectibles in the quest menu for any quest related issues?

@hammerthecanary sorry to hear that man. if it makes you feel better ive been unable to progress in the asgard quest line since early game and im now 100 hours in and everything else basically everything done and cant even enter without instantly dying haha.

@aloninor thats it mate. im playing on the ps4 which can be a bit more prone to bugs but its still a brutally overwhelming amount for myself and a lot of others. seems to be up to a higher power at who gets a clean game or a terrible game.
i love am doing my best lo love this game despite all the flaws ive come across it, but fear ubisoft might be in for a big hit if Cyberpunk comes out in a weeks time and hits the ball out of the park, considering how their first month of release has gone for them.

@hammerthecanary damn that sucks man. do you have any cloud saves or manual saves that arent too far back in your story that you can reload to so you might only have to tediously repeat the last part of the story again rather than the entire game??

@aloninor My biggest one is "Defensive Measures" as i said previously before in another post on this thread which has barred me from all the asgard and jotun arc.
several times ive had npcs not move from one location too the next in main story arcs. possibly preventing further progression. but luckily i had some early signs that i might be frequently reloading saves to save myself from such examples.
several mystery quests have bugged out and i cant progress with.
im not lying when i said every 1-2 hours my game was crashing. whether it be talking to someone, running up a wall, middle of combat or anything it would crash. ive played just short of a 100 hours and dont doubt its crashed at least 200 times on me.
general gameplay bugs as well. arrows stuck in my hand from powder trap, getting trapped in some corner on a table completely frozen and having to fast travel to free myself.
if you want exact missions and such i can probably remember a couple exact details if you wanted those as well.

@hammerthecanary Getting the final member and starting the hamtunscire arc are both triggered separately. hythem should run up to you outside of your longhouse and give you the quest for the 45th member and you chatting with randvi at the allegiance map should give you the option to start your final pledge. sigurd being there or not might depend on the outcome of your fight with basim and whether he decides to join your back to your settlement or not. if he did choose to come back and hes still not appearing in your settlement that might be a issue. did you go outside the animus to finish laylas quest after completing your fight with basim and odin and the resolution with sigurd? tried reloading a save before travelling back from norway to england in the story?

The defensive measures quest in asgard where you must protect the builder from a never ending barrage of jotun and a never ending quest. upon leaving and reentering asgard you are killed almost instantly by the effect of being outside the dome. there is no way around this and completely prevents you from progressing in both the asgard and main story line. this was brought up two days after release and was acknowledged soon after by the ubisoft support. why was this not fixed in the latest update or even mentioned in the megathread yet?

Also having this issue with the defensive measures quest. have had it since day one and it was reported and acknowledged by ubisoft a day or two after. how is this still not fixed @Ubi-Spud? still insta killing upon entering asgard and leaving me and many other unable to progress in the asgard story and eventually the main quest line. can this be fixed sooner rather than later?
