Nerd and Metalhead that think he can play guitar. Stupid enough to stream on Twitch and post on YouTube
I would buy this option for my daughter, she didn't get into RS2014, mostly for lack of music she likes. This model would enable her to enter into it at her own pace without billing me more than she actually uses.
@shadow_spike117 think that have been answerred several places, and the answer is "different licensing, so might not be right away".
But with the new licensing model and the extended notetracker team, existing DLCs will most likely be added as licenses are on place, in addition to all the new songs we will get on a weekly basis + community efforts. And since they target library at release to be 5000+ songs, we will start out with more songs than all official DLCs in the current game.
@T00way RS+ is based on a completely different engine than RS2014 and RS1, and coded from scratch as almost nothing of the original code base could be reused.
@jonman12321 problem with white sheet notation transformed from tabs is that they are highly inaccurate done procedural. Without having looked spcifically at it I would guess 90% accuracy is what we could expect. Question then is if Ubisoft think it is worth putting in the effort for that.
Keep wishing of it and it might be a feature later though, who knows.
Another option, as a parrent I would like to manage the subscription for my kids from my own account. It would be great to set up so that billing for my kids happens together with billing for my own subscription.
@deathspiller there where some guitar and bass lessons in the Beta, and I did go through the ones on guitar at that time. The level of the Beta lessons was extremely light beginner. I would love to see these lessons progress through intermediate and advanced/expert with a breakdown on each technique. Depending on playing style and preferred music, some techniques are more of interest than others.
I have a suggestion to help players how to strum correctly the riff.
The use of arrow beside the chord or notes. Something like the screen below.
Since Guitar-pro tabs have this kind of information, and more to, that would be a nice addition to the game. At least get it visualized shouldn't require too much additional code, though all charts would have to be re-imported to add this new information into the chart files.
Detection difference on upstroke and downstroke on the other hand might be extremely challenging to code.
@femacejo I also find the forum clunky, seem to me the forum suffer the same disease as almost everything being launched these days, the focus on handheld devices and scrolling with fingers on touch screen seems to overshadow all other usability.
@kami-kun summer on southern hemisphere starts in November
I have laid out my cable so that the RS Realtone cable are as untouched as possible, at the moment I take the Realtone out of my interface mixer on the Monitor out, but will move it to before the Amp with a good ABY. My current ABY doesn't have ground lift so I have noise problems when using it.
@ShavedAp3 Joan Jett and The Clash are also classed under rock. I feel there is enough in the rock category that could have been classified as Punk, or other genres not included. I am sure a Punk genre would get more songs than, for example New Age, Electronic, or Raggae, which have their own genre tags.
@BishopUniverse From the original roadmap, xbox and ps2 release was supposed to be 2 months after PC release, guessing the same this time, but nothing actually communicated AFAIK
@RadicalOwl "Sacred Music" is grouped under "Other", same with a few other genres.
@ZIXN1TR0XIZ not particularly happy about the song selection either. Some bright news though but not so many. I am currently in the process of scraping the site though to see if there is anything hidden that can brighten up the future, though regional blocks are a [censored] for what is available....
@RadicalOwl There is a sacred music category, do you want worship music in addition to that?
Saw another Ubisoft job posting go up on the 16th .... Rocksmith+ Content Release Manager. Any day now, I can just feel it
Where's the link?

@pedietz I wouldn't advice running HDMI audio to TV at all, as depending on model, the TV might add post-process delay because of video-priority. I was struggling with too much delay for game to be playable.
@thebaronofsd if I correctly remember a technical description about notedetection on guitar, they have been translated to a midi signal as well, so that is probably not the biggest issue. Probably a bigger and more important issue will be how to present it on screen, in a way that both looks within the style of the game and makes sense for musicians. As I understood the tasks of the Piano possition posted a while back was exactly this, as well as other additional task such as lesson material etc.
@deathspiller There was a lot of Bruce Johnston on the beta, so I think you will get a good share of Surf
