It is incredibly sad that R6 runs so well on Linux, like exceptionally well, yet the only thing that prevents playing it on Linux is anticheat. Please Ubi, we haven't lost hope yet.
@HTSimple BattleEye have been supporting linux from their start. They have tweeted it when Valve started working with EAC and BE to make the Proton work. Battleye just made it even simpler and started supporting Proton. BE is easier to enable than EAC, because for EAC there are two versions (and one, the older one, will never support Proton, and that is the one that is mostly used by devs - this is why it takes a long time for some games. They have to switch EAC version which comes with many problems), but for BE, its just that one email. They supported Linux for Native games and had BE Linux binaries from start of their bussiness.
@YoSoyMuzzy There is already a very big thread wanting Ubisoft to enable Battleye Linux support here: https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/111054/linux-support-for-r6s/902?lang=en-US
Despite it being the biggest and most active thread for a year, Ubisoft does not care, or if they do, they never really published their plans on enabling it or not.
I propose you to post there and bump it up, even tho I am slowly losing hope that they will actually act upon this. It took Bohemia interactive about two weeks to enable Battleye for Proton for DayZ and Arma III when the support came out. It is now more than a year that the thread exists and if they wanted to listen to their players they would have done it already.
Maybe I am wrong, I hope I am wrong, but I'm certainly not holding my breath.
