I haven't had much experience with Odyssey or Origins, but I'm enjoying the exploration in Valhalla a lot so far.

• The raid locations are fun to sneak into, and a I always find treasure or upgrades.
• The random mysteries are a fresh take on side missions that don't take up hours of my time but offer a fun little break from the main quest lines.
• The 3 different "regions" (I've found so far) have unique-enough landscapes to be interesting.
• I know it's next-gen, but it's a beautiful game with great environments.

I agree 1-h swords and co-op options would have been nice to have.

I've had so much fun playing this game, even without those things. It's probably my favorite AC game to date. The characters, voice-acting, story, and visuals are so enjoyable that I can easily see past the couple of short-comings.

No game is perfect and does everything for everyone, so this probably isn't your game. Have you tried Watch Dogs or Genshin? I think those have co-op.

Place in Game: 3-4 hours into the campaign

Details: A few hours into the game I realized my save files from one point on were all corrupted. WHen I tried to save again, the new saves were also corrupted.

Solution: I rolled the dice and did a hard restart on the console, which luckily kept my place in the game with "quick resume". After the restart I was able to save again without corrupting the data.
